We went to this address, Bayonne, New Jersey (good store in terms of merchandise and prices), but they had set a price different from the checkout price, and this happened to us. The item was in the correct place. All the items in the section were priced different from the checkout price. When I spoke to the cashier (Amanda), she was extremely rude to us. This was very annoying, unfortunately, until the manager came and was nice.
It's okay. I've been a few times for their baked goods. One time I went because they had a deal on sirloin steak. I saw I was about to be charged the full price instead of the sale price, so I asked the cashier how come. She said I need to use the app, and pressed send on charging me the full price. Unfortunately I had already swiped my card when I caught that, so I couldn't stop it. Instead of $24, I was charged $42. I guess their sales are made difficult to access for this exact reason.
I did sign up for a Lidl account before going. I thought, as with most stores, they'd just need my phone number. How wrong I was.
I wasn’t sure if I should even write this, but after seeing someone else comment about the same cashier, I feel I have to. The Indian cashier was extremely nasty and had a horrible attitude. At the end of my transaction basically dropped the receipt on the table. I had to pick it up. As I was walking away, she actually asked if I had a problem. If I had gone back over to respond, I’m sure it would have turned into a whole different situation and I would have been labeled the aggressor. She seriously needs to fix her attitude.
Sumi was so helpful and kind, I went on a budget and came out with a good amount of items all because she put me on to the app ! Thanks sumi for your excellent service ↔ gained a new customer !
I recently started shopping at this location and have had the best experience in large part because of Sumi! She is very nice and extremely helpful. I appreciate her dedication to providing an excellent shopping experience for customers.
Everyone is nice except the Indian cashier lady is mean, àlways in a bad mood, & unprofessional. She's the reason I don't shop at this Lidl anymore! Everyone else is nice, Cool, & professional. The India cashier lady is the only reason I dong shop at Lidl in Bayõnne no more. Now I just go to Walmart, or ShopRite. & Sometimes the Lidl in Staten Island.
Sumi was amazing .. she helped me sign up so I can get a discount... she really didn't have to .. i really appreciated it so much !!!! She was amazing!
I want to tell the management of this store location that cashier Sumi is a great and helpful person. She is always pleasant and always has a friendly attitude and smile on her face to welcome her customers. This is the way to treat customers.
I really appreciate my experience with the Bayonne store. Mostly with the cashiers, specially Sumi who shown me how I got 10$ discount from my app without knowing.They are very enthusiastic. They gave you your time and the shopping is friendly.
I had a excellent experience at Lidl with their wonderful prices and very nice and helpful cashiers. Like Sumi, the cashier there was so helpful to me and my family with her service, she went above and beyond, and is very nice and polite love it. We did a very big shopping on a late night and she was great about everything. Thank you Sumi. We will be returning again and againm
My local Lidl is fantastic! The store is always clean and well-organized, making shopping a breeze. They consistently have enough cashiers working, and if a line starts forming, they’re quick to call for backup, so I’m never stuck waiting long. I love how they frequently introduce new and exciting products, keeping the selection fresh and fun. This Lidl is a standout for convenience and quality—highly recommend!
I would like to start off by saying I love Lidl
I am always recommending people to come here and I mostly only buy Lidl brand products
But The reason they only getting three stars is because of the rude cashiers
I usually don’t have a problem, but whoever is hiring, the employees is doing a bad job and most of the people they hire have one thing in common
They all have a Lidl attitude and I don’t mean this in a good way
Cashiers should great you with a smile and not be huffing and puffing or making smart remarks while scanning your items this is the third time I receive unnecessary attitude during checkout
My wife complained about the same thing on a separate occasion
And a few weeks ago I witnessed someone else receiving attitude and unnecessary remarks during checkout out so far it’s always the same 2 cashiers
Something needs to be done or I will take my business elsewhere I spend to much money in this establishment to be mistreated

Absolutely love shopping at Lidl! They offer a fantastic selection of high-quality European products that are hard to find elsewhere. From fresh baked goods to unique international ingredients, everything is top-notch and affordable. The store is always clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lidl is my go-to spot for groceries and great European treats. Highly recommend!
I love LIDL. We went well out of our way to come here. Got a bunch of groceries and the best energy drink in the world: KONG STRONG!! Prices are always great. Bakery is excellent. And the aisle of shame has very neat stuff. Store typically has very low prices. Closest Lidl to me currently is over 7 hours away, so we always go if there is one nearby. Reminds me of Germany.
A wonderful discount supermarket that is our regular stop immediately after the membership warehouse across the street.
Our favorite is definitely their wonderful bakery with fresh breads daily and the essentials are always at a great price.
The section of seasonal items is always a hit with my partner, browses at anything of interest.
Often times we have our kids push their LiDL kid sized shopping carts, it keeps them engaged and they “learn” to grocery shop. Bonus!
Nice store! Any LidL stores - very good products and quality! I bought here in this store some items, everything was very delicious and tasty . Good price, cheaper. A lot of options, big choices. That’s Great Place for all Family!

Just wanted to buy some flowers for a special occasion came in they had exactly what I needed plus more. Check out was fast. Sumi greeted me with a smile and suggested I download the app to save some money. I signed up in less than a minute and was checked out. Saved $5! Thanks Sumi for your customer service!

I don't know, I really want to give Lidl a higher rating but just can't seem to muster up the reason to do so.
Perhaps I came at a bad time as it was quite late in the evening mid week. One of the items I was very interested in getting. Lamb, was lacking in quantity. Other, more ethnic (read German) items - there were not many. I thought they would have had more in this department. I think I'd found more German products at an Aldi.
The place was clean, I'll give them that.
The store is not all that set up for tractor/trailers as this is what I drive and really can't fault them for that as this store is located more in a non-commercial neighborhood.
Yeah, I took a lot of pictures of the wares on the shelf. Just check them prices...about average, I think.
Okay, I'll change my review to 4 stars ... just because I am nice.

A nice clean store, with very good prices and large selection of goods and Big variety of foods,vegetables and all you need or think of under one roof
