Not the best but not the worst either. With all the New Yorkers pouring into Bayonne, I think this location can definitely step up their game in terms of stocking items and customer service.
You'll notice how unlike this store is compared to a trader Joe's where all the registers are staffed. When you go to this location you will wish you went to Joe's instead as youre forced to wait upwards of 60 minutes to check out because there's only 2 open. How about a little respect for peoples' time.
Cashiers don’t enforce 12 items or less rule. And apparently they can’t because they get reported and in trouble. So what’s the point of having an express lane if you’re going to let people with full carts use them? Get rid of the light and lane then if it’s only a suggestion.
I just wanted to share what happened during my visit on Sunday My waiting number was 15. When it was my turn, Lucy asked me what I wanted, but she sounded a bit upset. I noticed her mask was down under her mouth, and while she was slicing my cheese, she kept coughing without fixing it.
The same thing happened with my second and third orders. It honestly made me worried about hygiene. Also, the way she spoke felt a little harsh, and it made me uncomfortable — even if she didn’t mean it that way.
Could you please check the cameras from Sunday and remind the staff to keep their masks on properly and be a bit friendlier when giving out orders? I just want to make sure everyone stays safe and has a good experience.
Edit: I purchased tortilla chips product on Sept 14, 2025, and yesterday noticed that the ‘Best by’ date was July 23, 2025. I suspected and looked at behind of its package because the taste was very old... Escalated it from your website. I hope I can get a return with a reasonable solution.
I really wish this location could improve its produce logistics. Every time I visit, the fruits and vegetables are either out of stock or already starting to go bad. When I visit other ShopRite stores within a 30–40 mile radius, most of them have well-stocked produce sections with fresh items. It feels like there's always an issue at this particular branch.
They’ve recently done a small renovation, which looks nice. Hopefully, they’ll start managing this store in a way that better reflects the standards Bayonne deserves.

just avoid this shop at all cost jsut got back from the store it is september 8th and i got these harvest snaps that went bad 2 weeks ago on august 22nd i thought i had to check dates at corner stores i guess now at shoprite i need to go to corporate
I’ve ordered deli cold cuts like 70.00 worth had other things for delivery too ….. zero cold cuts they stated all the slicers are broken …. How can that be they have six slices or better ones for meats and ones for cheeses customer service stated that they were broken ? I Also ordered Potato salad head, and that’s not there either ? Service is getting Awful. They need improvements in all areas.
Awesome place to shop better prices than whole foods just with less organic sales no difference still fresh meat they have the right organic products . . . Just shop for moderation . . . Shoprite is a great price point savings trope
Best prices in town for the selection. Lidl is cheaper, but you have to settle for what they have. Shop Rite had everything...

This is my favorite ShopRite but the managers customer services skills is terrible I waited for over 30 minutes for an issue they had with ebt not being able to process… I understand that’s not in there control but I was in the super market for 2hrs shopping and there were absolutely no signs anywhere about ebt not working.. even when I went to the register there was no signs and the employee said the system had been down for a couple hours already .. so I asked the manager for a discount for the inconvenience and he said no. I wasted 3hrs in the here just to no be able to take my food..
Shopped there two times recently versus Walmart-Bayonne. To me , it felt welcoming like a General Store in small suburban town. The workers, cashiers and especially the Deli Workers treat you with respect and professionalism. I noticed they employ dependable, older , customer-service oriented workers and I applaud the Management for that. The prices and sales papers/coupons prices are very reasonable. The place is clean and organized(i.e aisles not blocked by workers stocking shelves or preparing delivery orders.). We will return
Hii I’m putting into in a complaint against Alex tue shop rite worker there she’s always harassing me and disrespecting me every chance she gets I’ve reported her from before but I guess they didn’t do anything about it I’m tired of it I’m calling coperate on her I’m in line waiting for an open open register at the self check out mind you there’s no one in line but me so everybody could pass me by easily her she comes saying out loud and rude are you in line so I looked at her and said yes in my mind common sense told her that was so she demanded me to go back further in line just picking on me so I did then I preceded to ring up my items she’s steadily looking all thru my cart like as if I stole something how is that possible when I just started ringing up my items she’s steadily looks at my juice and say’s rudely what about the juice you didn’t ring that up yet I said no es I did the juice and the coffee was on sale I rang it up at the service desk and I showed her the receipt because they ran out of paid stickers and then she kept asking n harassing me saying put you’re groceries on the side of the machine mind you I only had a few items I’m tired of the harassment in their by her she should lose her job I’m calling corporate I’m tired I d the girl named Alex she’s a sop tire worker she’s been harassing me for over 2 years I’ve reported her to corporate and her supervisor’s but they did nothing about it she’s been video taping me and acting like a security guard in their checking thru my cart and under neath the carts like I’m a thief or something they have security guards and camera for that this time she’s was acting like she’s was bending down acting like she was fang her sockes looking in my cart like I stoked something and she even told the people who works in the street re les about me m tired of this next time I’m calling the cops on her and for corporate or who ever is giving feed back to all of the good comments they need to comment on my post and fire this girl who’s harassing me or would they like to make the channel 12 news
I love this location! They're always fully stocked and the store is always clean. They improved the self checkout registers and I love it! They also moved where the pre-sliced cold cuts are. My only complaint is that when I was there this week, there were no pre-sliced bowl and basket yellow cheese and I didn't have time to grab a number and wait. So I had to leave without cheese. It was about 11:35 am. If they open at 7 - there should've been some pre-sliced cold cuts already done. Other than that, I have no complaints!
Their Customer service is really bad last week I went for grocery shopping ,I got my cart put my grocery item, I went to drink and juice aisle some of their worker threw my stuff on the shelf and took my cart. They didn't wanna go out to get the cart for them self. How do I know this happened ,so I left my cart in the very front in the aisle and went down to get juice it took me 3 min ,when came back my item was on the shelf and their worker came within 2 min to pick up my grocery item. She new that It waa there because she put it there. I asked supervisor to check on the camera but she refused ,she said its againt company policy. I wasted my 2 hours .

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional behavior I experienced from one of your cashiers during my recent visit to your store.
While attempting to take advantage of the discounted offer on ground beef by purchasing two packs, which I believed was within my rights, I have two accounts the cashier—who was at the express checkout lane for items fewer than 10 and is a woman—informed me that the promotion was limited to one pack per phone number.
I did not object to this and responded politely, accepting the limitation.
However, what upset me the most was learning from someone who knows me that the cashier later referred to me as greedy and implied that I was trying to take more than my share. Such remarks are both disrespectful and unprofessional, especially as I followed the store’s policy without issue.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and ensure that customers are treated with respect and professionalism at all times.

Their customer service is horrible at night. Their night shift manager, lady with with the Lazy eye, will yell at the customers. All it takes is one crappy personaility. To take the whole brand down.
Switch that lady out of your management guys. Be courteous to your customers.
I had an amazing shopping experience!! I was having trouble finding some of the things on my shopping list when I young blonde man from the register noticed I looked lost and approached me asking if I needed and assistance looking for anything I believe his name was Thomas he helped me with every question I had and had a very positive attitude I thought maybe I had just gotten lucky and caught him in a good mood but i went with my daughter then we got separated and when I found her the same young man was helping her out again I thanked him and also gave him 50 dollars he refused to take it but eventually said yes because of my persistence I look forward to coming back and shopping again all because of this nice young man! He needs to be given a raise or some sort of recognition!
Underground parking, easy to get to the main level for shopping. It is well stocked with fresh products. Small hot food section and sushi. The employees are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The only problem is not enough employees, so expect to wait 20 minutes or more standing in line to check out.
This was a horrible shopping experience! They are racist towards Latinos. My family and I stopped here to grab food for dinner and were treated horribly. The picture is of a woman named Latonya behind the wine and liqour who was extremely rude. My husband dropped the bottle and it broke and she didn't want to help us out at all and was nasty and unprofessional. Next we go to self scan and the associates are watching us as if we were stealing. As we were walking out a large framed African American woman wearing a red messy wig named Alex stopped my husband and I with our 3 children and asked if we stole dog food. We showed the reciept and were very embarrassed. Not only were we treated badly but now we're embarrassed and being racially profiled. This is the worst shoprite I have ever had the unpleasantness to experience. There were no apologies or anything to my family and i.
Always like coming here. Good place to shop. Plenty of registers. Self checkout. This store has done away with their plastic bags for the most part. They so have the reusable ones for sale though. Parking lot is underground. It's not that big. The store doesn't get too busy. Would recommend.
Wasn’t the best experience I ever had in Shoprite. I am taking into consideration COVID 19. That being said all the carts were broken and the store was kind of dirty. Service was also slow. Two out of Five Stars.

This is for CDL drivers making delivery to this place. Place is tight especially when those other delivery trucks are there. But not very difficult. Luck to to got it in in first try.
