I just called and had a question about my jeep that was concerning me. The man who answered was so kind. He listened to me, and provided potential solutions before bringing in my Jeep such as things to do and check for. He was so nice which is hard to find now-a-days!
If anything persists with my jeep after I perform his recommendations, I am coming here ! It's the first time out of many calls where I didn't get an answering machine, I wasn't dismissed by my questions, or given an outrageous price just to come in and check it out.
This place already proved 100% honesty in my book!
We are Canadians on our way to Florida when we had a problem with our Honda CR-V. Honestly, not knowing any good auto repair shops in New Jersey, we chose this one online. What a great choice! We were seen and taken care of quickly and very efficiently! The gentleman at reception and the owner were incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain everything clearly (we only speak a little English). They repaired our car immediately so we could continue our trip! We were even driven back to the restaurant while they were doing the repair! A huge thank you for your professionalism and kindness; we are very grateful!
My previous mechanic sold his business so I was looking for a new one. Last year I found A-1 Auto Repair based upon their raving reviews and have been taking me vehicles their ever since. The guys at A-1 are top notch! Dan and Ron are a great team, I call them my car detectives; they really thrive trying to figure out the root of the problem in an intentional way. For instance, they recently diagnosed my Jeep and the problem could've costs over $3,000 if they stopped there; but they kept digging and discovered the problem was actually a fraction of that cost. They have earned my business, I bring all my cars to A-1 and highly recommend them.
Discovered A-1 Auto Repair when I finally decided to NOT patronize the Hyundai Dealership any longer for my 2008 Tucson. Dan, the owner & mechanic of this 2 mechanic shop in Pitman, was the absolute best ever. He lives & breathes vehicles. He hears the engine talking to him and knows just what it needs. Yes, I am happy to say that I found myself someone I call “MY MECHANIC “!!!
Initially, I was so nervous about how much it would cost (broken A/C) but the cost was actually SO reasonable and they my car up and running in 2 days! This summer is going to be so hot…I am extremely happy I can drive my daughter and I to and from anywhere comfortably in this heat now.

I have had A1 work on my personal car and he dose a great job, it could be struts, tires, oil change, and get things done quickly , I have a towing company and are asked daily who dose good work and can be trusted I always go see Dan at A1 tell him Quality Towing sent you, your in good hands.
My in-laws have always used them and love Dan, he makes them feel like family he even calls them aunt and uncle.
Brought my SUV in for routine service and Dan and his team routinely do a general assessment of the overall condition of the vehicle and look for any potential issues that may need to be addressed. Well during the assessment they identified a serious issue that made the vehicle unsafe to drive. Dan and his team fully explained the issue and also provided me with some information they researched. The manufacturer had identified the defect in a general service bulletin. However, the manufacturer never contacted me about the potential defect!!
Dan and his team fixed the issue. By going the extra mile each time I go in for routine service at A 1 a potentially serious situation was averted.
Dan and his family at A1 Auto Repair have been our go-to guys for car troubles for many years and I strongly recommend them. They have helped us through many issues in the past, and have never led us astray. Everyone who works there has been courteous and friendly and honest. If they can’t do some particular fix, they do not fruitlessly try and charge you for it- they tell you so up front. I have never felt like I was getting fleeced by these guys, they run a great business!

Dan and his crew took such good care of my 2011 Subaru. I’d only been to them once, two years ago, for a random oil change and they treated us like family. They saved us from paying for a whole new transmission. Even short staffed they got it fixed and road ready in a little under a week. I’d recommend them to anyone in the area needing any kind of quality help or service for their vehicle!
This is 100% for certain the best shop that I have ever done business with in my life. I recently bought a low mileage '03 Dakota 4.7 to use for work and began searching for a trustworthy shop where I'd be able to deal directly with the guys working on it. Knowing that the truck is old, but still has tons of life left, I came up with a HUGE list of preventatives that I wanted addressed. Dan, Zack, Sam, and the rest of the crew worked extremely hard together to nail down everything on my list. PLUS they took care of other issues that I hadn't even listed, but were bothering me about the truck in the back of my mind. These guys really are the best there is. No question about it. While Dan owns A-1, Zack, Sam, and the rest of the crew ensure top quality service is provided whenever Dan isn't around. I actually think my truck drives smoother now than my other car (a 2014) because of the work these guys have done. I'm definitely thankful to have A-1 on my list of top-notch businesses now!
Dan and his team do awesome work. Recently went here for struts and oil service, and they had it done quickly, reasonably priced and made sure everything worked properly. Plus my parents have been long time customers and love Dan.
I’m not the one to typically write reviews but A-1 Auto lives up to the hype! I spoke with Dan and Rob multiple times while my F150 was being serviced and I can’t say enough positive things about them. This is a team made up of skilled professionals that believe in respect and just being real. Definitely my go to spot!

Dan listened to my concerns and then explained the problem and what could be done to fix it before and after fixing it. He made it easy to understand what he did and explained what to look for as warning signs of possible future problems should they occur. He was reasonably priced and very thorough with the repair and checking other things for me that the previous mechanic missed that I was unsure about. A1 Auto Repair is my new mechanic for all my service and repair needs!
A-1 was fair priced and honest. I had multiple issues with a minivan. Dan and his crew took care of our issues very quickly. They only had vehicle for half of a day. He explained everything to us and explained what was going on. I found he is very fairly priced. I would recommend him to all of my family and friends.
Dan and his crew were fantastic and made my car safe for my son and I to get around in, getting an appointment was extremely easy and the work was not only well done but took way less time than I was expecting. I highly recommend this shop more than any place I have ever been to and had work on my car, I will NEVER go anywhere else to have my car worked on (if needed) ever again. We started going to A-1 Auto Repair in 2018 at the recommendation of a co-worker. Dan and his team are trustworthy and reliable. We’ve never gotten the impression that they’re trying to “take us” for everything we have. We have cars that are over 10 years old and Dan and his team provide sound advice regarding our mechanical needs.
I recently purchased a 2010 Volvo S40 from my neighbor. We took the car to A-1 Repair to have a set of brakes installed and to have a vehicle checkup. My neighbor used A-1 to service this vehicle when he owned it and he was very pleased. Upon arrival I was introduced to Dan Watson. Dan explained what he was going to do and stated he would check everything out. He said the car would probably not be finished until late afternoon, early evening. Our Ford Fusion needed an oil change a few hundred miles ago, so I looked online for service stations that changed oil. We were out of towners, so I took a chance on A-1, as it was near where we were staying. The owner he was booked that afternoon, but could take us the next day, and we made an appointment. He was very friendly, engaging me in conversation and the price he quoted was the price we paid. The service was done on time, and we were on our way.
I will not take my vehicles anyplace else. I have had extensive work completed on my truck this year and not once did I regret taking it to A-1 Auto Repair. They are honest, dependable, and keep me in the loop every step of the way. It’s comforting to know that when you leave your car with A-1, you are getting the best service possible.
Dan runs a clean and very professional shop. I have trusted his expert service for years on all of my vehicles and always am extremely satisfied with his workmanship and advice. One simple example of his commitment to service and his customers- my sister stopped by my home on the way to Florida recently and before leaving I noticed her tires were badly worn. On a Saturday, with a last minute call to Dan, he located 2 new tires, mounted, balanced, installed and also checked/changed her fluids including oil and filter. Excellent service!! His hours are great!! Bought 3 cars with his advice!! Dan Watson, and his tech know what they're doing. Love the quick oil changes. And they're not a chain company like FireStone(who screwed up my car 3x) thanks to Dan, they were able to fix it!! Will come back for sure!!
