I’ve always known of Kuiken Brothers and admired their beautiful stores, but this was my first true experience working with them on a large project—and they absolutely delivered. The level of customer service was unlike anything I’ve experienced. The follow-up, communication, and sense of urgency in getting materials to the site were outstanding. They moved at record speed, never missing a beat. What really stood out was the pride their team takes in their work. The salespeople in the Midland Park location are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about the success of your project. This is the kind of service I strive to give my own clients, and seeing it in action was refreshing. Kuiken Brothers has earned my loyalty, and I’ll be recommending them to anyone taking on a small or large job. They are truly number one.

I reached out to Kuiken Brothers for help ordering a custom screen for a Silverline window, simple enough ask but Silverline wasn't very helpful or communicative. This place is fantastic. They are extremely knowledgeable and have everything you need. I was looking for a specific piece of wood to match and they were able to get it to me in multiple sizes. Make sure you stop it

I was driving today and a driver dam near ran a guy of the road and then just missed smashing the front end of my car then flew down the block like are you kidding me I called them and the lady at the desk chuckled and transferred me to someone' who did not pick up I left a message and did not here from them. Are you kidding me your driver was the reason a guy had to drive up onto the curb and on the sidewalk or he would have been hit then he missed my car cause I had to hug the curb. Then he had really beeped at me because I put my hand out the window at him..... Next time I see a driver driving like that I will contact the police and Film it and uploaded on my YouTube with 1 million subs maybe this company will tell there drivers to slow the f down and not run people off the road. With all the construction going on right now they need to slow down and stop trying to cut people off. I drive for a big company down the block from them in midland park and there drivers are not very good the younger guy driving today is gonna kill someone. Do better qnd hold your drivers responsible.

They supply a large percentage of gc's and carpenters in the region. Their yards are full of building materials. They have a full line of moldings. What's not to like?

Been buying material from these guys for years in fair lawn/Garfield, overall pretty good selection and availability. But, they don’t want the DIY guy in there asking them for ideas even if you spend $1,000+ on material. Their response is always “Oh, that problem you have, it’s Carpentry 101”…. Not helpful

Horrible Experience very poor customer service. Ordered deck railing , was told 2-3 weeks. After a number of unanswered calls and emails to salesman Doug, I offered to go pickup my order 4 weeks later that was supposed to be delivered. They sent the deck railing in two different colors. Again, instead of being apologetic and try to rectify the situation, they continue to ignore you. I was told I had to change the design of my railing and settle for something else or else wait another 4 weeks, so I settled because no contractor will hang around waiting for materials for 2 months when you’re promised 3 weeks. They took another week to exchange the incorrect materials and still two critical parts to complete the job we’re missing. Called Doug, emailed. It’s been over a week, no replies. Very bad experience. We understand there has been some logistical issues with construction materials, however, ignoring a client has nothing to do with this. Shame on you Kuiken for not properly training your employees to provide customer service.

Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. Great showroom we picked a door out of a book but it was so well worth taking the time to go see the door. It really was not what we wanted but the gentleman who was helping (can't believe we didn't get his name!!!) guided us to another door which my wife fell in love with and it actually may cost a little less then the original door that we picked out. Midland Park KB great place to visit for ideas and quality building supplies. ?

Great customer service at a fair price. Couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Kuiken Brothers. Hadn’t used them since a full house Reno 10 years ago. Needed a haul of pressure treated for a deck replacement and they gave me an online written quote within a hour of my inquiry. The order was delivered the next day and at the exact time they gave us for delivery. Lumber was super straight and laid down easy. Went to the big home improvement stores and they quoted a delivery cost 4 times what Kuiken charged and a 2 week delivery date!! Shop local!! Thanks Matt & team.

I really tried but it's three-strikes-youre-out for Kuiken for me, primarily because of the apathetic sales support and last-century turnaround times. The first project was a request for options for replacing a window. After providing very clear requirements the first two quotes were way off the mark and I had to go to a physical location during their extremely limited hours and do all the speccing from a catalog myself. The second project involved ordering hardware for the interior of my home for which the sales staff had no knowledge of, or ability to help calculate spacing and quantities. What's worse, once I finally figured it out for them they only place orders for certain hardware once a week which means you'll wait up to a week FOR THE ORDER TO BE PLACED AT ALL. The final project I didn't even go through with even though it was the simplest: I just needed to order some wood. That's it! I wasted a half day trying to get through to their staff on the phone and never made it. I ordered from a competitor later that day who picked up right away, and had it delivered to my door the following morning. Two stars instead of one only because they do free local delivery if you manage to get an actual order placed.

Had a great experience at Kuiken Brothers. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and a great help. They made my trip fast, easy and stress-free. Will definitely be returning for future projects, no doubt!

Terrible attitude of the salesman we spoke to, and another salesman who kept chiming in, not helpful, kept trying to talk us into things we didn't want, overall just really rude no smiles awful customer service
