Thank you Ande for sorting out my R60/5. Finally back on the road after 10 years of storage and 36 years of ownership, the bike has never run this well! After a failed mechanical and cosmetic refresh by another mechanic, Ande systematically sorted out numerous mechanical and electrical issues that had plagued the bike. He kept me advised of progress and made sure we were on budget. Barrington Motor Works is an awesome shop and I am happy to have finally found a real BMW professional. We went out for a 150 mile, two-up loop in Northwest NJ this weekend and the bike ran perfectly! Thank you Ande and the team at Barrington Motor Works! Ty

Thoroughly pleased with Ande and his team. I am more than comfortable having 2 different machines cared for by Ande these past several years. It is rare to get expertise and “top notch” customer service. I hope his shop is around for a long, long time. … AND I wish there were more than 5 stars!!! Mike B 1960 R60 1979 R80

I'm working on a recently purchased 1978 BMW R100/7 that had previous owner/maintenance performed by people who knew little about BMW motorcycles. I reached out to Barrington Motor Works when I drained the final drive and found significant metal chunks on the drain plug. Excellent communication from the get go. Ande called me once he tore the unit down to explain how the crown gear set had destroyed itself due to the previous incorrect maintenance (see pics). The gear set is no longer manufactured (key point on finding the right people) but Ande was able to locate a very good, used set and the unit is essentially brand new. Also provided valuable information on installation and future maintenance. Excellent workmanship and highly recommended for any airhead repairs!

I am working on a 1967 BMW R60/2. Barrington motor works has provided me with parts and knowledge that has been a tremendous help in getting the motorcycle running. I will definitely use their service again in the future.

This is the best place to take any vintage German motorcycle to have any work done on it. I have used Barrington Motor Works to work on my 1971 BMW R75/5 and had a great experience.

1972 BMW R75/5 that had sat outside in Miami for 5 years, had had a sidecar, and suffered under amateur maintenance for 20 years. Ande took it apart until he got to 'good wood' and then put it back together as it should be. Wherever possible he repaired, if unable replaced with good used parts, if unable with new - AS I HAD ASKED. It is rare to find a shop that will do as you ask instead of barreling along doing what they think should be done with the bike. I am delighted with the outcome, and the communication by Ande during the work. Invoices were thorough and timely - there were no surprises when I picked the bike up except HOW SMOOTHLY IT RUNS! Ande is a craftsman, not a remove and replace 'repairman'. My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time talking with him about motorcycles and watching him work. Highly Recommend.
