After initially hearing of Blue Compass’ poor service reputation I still decided to purchase a 10 year old Class C motor home as it was at a discounted price. Unfortunately after we left with the RV and went touring I realized there was no 12V system operational, no fridge, lights or otherwise. All systems were shown operating in their dealership, however only on 110V shore power.
After numerous phone calls I was assured that it should have been working as part of buying an RV and to get it repaired, and BC will pick up the bill. The converter was dead so I had it replaced, plus the AC/ DC switch was not working so it was replaced as well before everything started working on 12V power.
At nearly $1,000 I was confident Blue Compass would pay since it should have all been working before we bought it, and since they advised they would pay for the repairs.
This was not the case and would not pay for anything, it was all my problem once I drove away from their premises, even though I believe the problem existed before we bought it.
In regards to service, the young sales people were wonderful, but trying to get hold of the sales or service manager or have any of them return my calls or emails was impossible.
An RV is a reasonably large purchase for anyone, so it is very disappointing to have gone through this situation and thinking that I was purchasing it in good operational order, as it seemed on their premises.
Sorry but only one star for the energetic young sales reps, but service and after sales support gets zero.
We are just beginning our search for a new camper, the sales staff wasn't pushy and took the time to answer our questions and show us different options.
We bought a camper Van from Blue Compass in Epsom. Very impressed with their service also very professional team they have there. They answered all of our questions.
