Went to get Oil changed and a belt tensioner issue resolved. The receptionist was fantastic, over the phone and in person. My vehicle was fixed very quickly, and for a very reasonable price. Great business, I will be back, and will recommend to friends and family.

A few years ago I got a vehicle through them, like most of their customers we were in a rut and Taveras is the only place locally that takes payments. I was making regular payments and on time, on multiple occasions they would reach out and tell me they never received a payment for the past week(s) to which I absolutely did, each time, with some debate, they'd realize the mess up was on their end. I get it, technology sucks and mistakes happen. However that wasnt all, they were constantly fixing the same issues on my car in what almost seemed like a rotation of the same 3 issues. When I say I bought that car multiple times in the payout of the repairs, Im dead serious. Ed, the owner. Would just constantly tell me "cars are unpredictable". The go on to show me things under my rig that I had obviously no idea what they were, in attempts to come off as honest. I dont know what looks broken and what doesnt, yet hed always fall back in his sefense "I showed you/you saw it for yourself". Well Im not a mechanic I didnt see the issue I was only told there was one and shown miscellaneous parts. And he uses that trick a lot it seems after speaking with others who seemed to have very similar stories about Taveras. I understand cars are unpredictable however, what I can predict is that my ball joint shouldn't break within less than a year and not be under warranty, along with other repairs that again did not last more than a few months before needing to come back. He claims these repairs are just maintenance repairs. I started getting quoted through him then bringing it to another shop where I was quoted much less and/or was told I didnt even need most of the work that Ed told me was needed on this car. I asked if there was any way that the work claimed to be needed was just an honest mistake to which I was told no, the work was absolutely not needed what so ever.. What my final straw was when I went in to get my winter tires on. I had bought the tires new elsewhere and when I brought them in to have them put on. They were, but they weren't the tires I had bought. I wasnt sure the point of that was as they still looked to be at least like new, same size, different brand of tires.. I had just spoken to a girl recently who had almost the exact same thing happen also through this mechanic shop. When she had reached out to them once she realized this as she was already pretty fed up with the dishonest work she had received over the years, the owner had called her and raised his voice saying he wouldnt "destroy his name over a $50 tire". But doesn't he see, hes not destroying his name over a $50 tire, hes destroying it with constant dishonest work. She had expressed she also had put in thousands of dollars torwards a car she spent over $10k through them and for the price she wasnt understanding why it was in such bad shape. I have since spoken to numerous people about Taveras asking what their experience was like with them to be told extremely similar stories. They got a car through them in a crunch and felt then obligated to get their mechanic work through them and was met with more work than they were expected or could afford. Same or similar fixes over and over again, no warranty to lessen the financial blow. Luckily since I stopped going to them I have found an honest mechanic who communicated everything with me and doesnt do any major fixes without speaking with me first. Which was also an issue I had with Ed. Also since seeing this mechanic my car seems to be running great and Im spending less on seemingly useless and frequent fixes. This mechanic has explained to me theres been, much more recently, a lot of people coming in with similar stories as mine. Being fed up and defeated with the work thats being done over at Taveras. So like I said. I dont like leaving bad reviews but I do believe I have gathers far more than enough information and heard enough experiences to not only leave a bad review but also hopefully warn others about what may happen if they put their car in the hands of this mechanic.
Very good at communicating with repairs and maintenance. Good prices with car parts esc. Recommend coming hear for car maintenance. Also bought a car with no issues and good prices for the mileage.
Our son came up for Thanksgiving and had wheel bearing issues with his Nissan Rogue. Taveras Auto not only got us in to diagnose but were able to get the repairs done the same day! So thankful for their entire staff for making sure our son’s SUV was safe for him to travel home in. Unbelievable service and great pricing too! We will be back for other services. First review I have ever written for anyone but felt they deserved one. Top-notch team!
They were able to get me in for a tire swap and oil change within less than a week of my call, during busy season when everyone else was booking well into December. And when I made a mistake in going to the wrong garage *embarrassing*...i showed up 30 min late, they still took me in. They provided great service, for a great price, and ensured my vehicle remained safe for may family. (4 of the lugnuts were horrible! - not happy with other garage that kept using them prior). They didnt just tell me, but showed me. Got me new ones and on the road quickly with warm smiles. Thanks, Taveras!

I went here for help with my jeep. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. They not only got me back on the road but explained everything in detail and where I could understand what was going on with my jeep. Highly recommended! I’m actually working on bringing my truck all the way from RI up to NH just so it’s them working on it. Great place. I've been going to Tavares for some time now and more regularly since I bought my Nissan Rogue through them. Since buying that I've had a series of inspections with no hiccups until the most recent one where I had a number of things that needed to be worked on and it made me really nervous. This is where Taveras currently has really come through for me. In the last couple months, they have helped me not only with the financial part of things in which they've been really fair, honest, helpful and accomodating in ways that they don't have to be and I haven't seen from any other shop. They've been even helpful and honest in ways that don't benefit them just because they knew it would be easier for me to do. They've stayed extended hours and still gave me the fairest rates. They've also gone beyond in helping me get home during long repairs so I can get the sleep I need during my tight schedule and so I don't have to sit and wait for extended periods of time. They've also politely and honestly explained things to me, shown me visually and helped me prioritize things that I have very limited knowledge on that has been helpful to learn as well as making me less anxious about the unknown aspects of what's happening. For the longest time I had one mechanic there I had a good repoire with but in these last months I've formed a really good repoire and name basis with everyone from the owner, to the mechanics, to the family and office staff. Nobody wants the financial burden of going to any shop regularly but if someone has to then I would recommend anyone who I see in need of help to go to Taveras over anyone else.

They always give me excellent service, treat me like family, and most importantly don't break my bank account. I've been going to Ed for the last three years for all my mechanic needs. He is a super chill guy that is very easy to work with, and all of his employees are good people too. Taveras garage is a great example of how a shop should be! Ed is out to make millions, he genuinely cares about the community and wants everyone to be able to get around. 11/10 would recommend.

Great experience! We drove over 3 hours because they had our dream car, priced at a more than fair price. I am typically one to negotiate, but didn't bother here because it was priced so reasonably. Everything about my experience was exemplary. The levels of professionalism and communication are not what you’d expect from a local shop. They even told me I could wait on something when I picked my car up, rather than holding it hostage while I told them to just go ahead. Unprecedented in my experience. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
