My truck had some issues and I took it here for repair. Some unforseen circumstances happened and I was stuck sleeping in the parking lot. Two of the techs there, Brandon and a guy that i heard called Slim went to Walmart and bought me a.blanket and Brandon bought me a pizza. These folks are some awesome people who went above and beyond their job description. Thank you GSTC. I will forever be appreciative of your care.

I took the truck there because it had power loss and couldn't climb hills. The truck had no active codes. They told me my turbo was bad and my fan clutch was going out. This is after they already replaced an actuator for the fan clutch without my authorization or ever speaking to me. So they fixed something that didn't need to be fixed and had nothing to do with power loss on the engine. Then charge me $1100. I said no take it off they are currently holding my truck hostage until it's paid. They made my driver sleep in the parking lot in 40° weather. And then had the nerve to charge me $125 storage fees to punish me. Can only pay with a cashier's check now. I'm in North Carolina, he's in New Hampshire. This is how they treat their customers. There is a lawsuit on the way.

Unbelievable. I just spent nearly a $1000 and my problem is not solved. I took my step van in there to get work done for a few things especially the brakes which had been smoking and smelling like burning rubber. After waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment I brought my van in there. After a day they said they put new pads on it and did all the proper measures of replacing those including lubrication and greased some of the front end steering components, tightened a drag link and charged me $988 and said the brakes took 4+ hours ($658 in labor) and $133 for pads. I go there pay, pick it up and drive it down the road and it's feeling a little sluggish and within a couple of miles I smell burning rubber again. Couldn't believe it. It was worse because it started way faster than it did before I even took it in there and I just paid almost $1000! On the last two trips I would drive that to Littleton from about 20 miles away and get no smell until the return trip. And when I went in to pay there was some other guy there talking to the secretary and their conversation didn't sound too positive for whatever reason. I can't believe it took 4+ hours to fix the brakes and then they are sticking more and still smell like burning rubber. I went here after seeing two other mechanics for the same issue. Hoping for $150 an hour they would do higher quality work but doesn't seem like it. They have some additional $38 "convenience fee" which I have no idea what it is and it's really funny because now they are closed and not open till Monday. And I am the one who is inconvenienced. Oh yeah and some other "CUSTOMER PAY SHOP SUPPLIES FOR REPAIR ORDER for another $38. What is that? Update: I took it back and then they said it was a caliber so I got that and they installed it and didn't charge for labor, but I don't think this work should have cost nearly this much (almost $1100) and I am not totally convinced they are fixed. I haven't smelt that smell while driving it but a few times after I stopped I could smell it near that wheel. Brakes were squeaking a bit too coming to a stop. UPDATE to their reply: Actually the step van is a 2003 Workhorse P42 not from the 1980's. In the receipt they wrote the model name as "dummy fake" which I thought was a little questionable. I searched high and low for that specific van and flew to North Dakota to get it. I've been working on it for a while so it's not cool to hear the people working on your rig that you care a lot about calling it a piece of "junk". Yeah it's a little old but it's in a lot better condition than when I first got it. I'll fix what I can with it but I don't got much experience or some tools. There are some lies in their comments. I showed up before 5 to pick it up on Fri and I returned there 20 minutes later after they had closed since the brakes were burning. Actually one of the calibers in the rear had been replaced last March. And like I said they didn't think to even replace that at first. And they didn't take anything off the front end except the front right wheel which has new tires so they weren't the first to do that. Like I told the secretary there the first person I took it to for this problem didn't work on big trucks looked at it and thought it looked ok and then the second person I took it to replaced the right rear caliber. After I said that to the secretary she was like we did more than just look at it implying they did a more thorough job and that was right before I got in it to drive it home the first time. I paid for the caliber so it wasn't "free of charge". I saw her reply to some other negative review saying their RV was too old or something. Not surprised.

On the road in our RV and discovered we were leaking. A quick Google search led us to Granite. Pulled in about 4:30 to see if they could diagnose the problem and advise us. They did and within the hour had us fixed and on our way. Fortunately it was an easy problem of a broken hose clamp, but with the quick attention and willingness to stay a little late they put a couple of retirees and new RV' ers at ease. Steve was fantastic and Karin most understanding. Would highly recommend this place.

Bad experience and service. My vehicle sat there for months waiting for service, they didnt know how to fix it, then they didnt know how to source the parts for it, finally the owner called and yelled at me, said the vehicle was "in the way" as if he was doing me some sort of favor. I had to tow it back up to a shop with better management (Chevy dealer). They had my RV fixed within 2 weeks. Wasted 5 months here for no reason.. The staff and mechanics seemed nice here but I don't think management (the owner) allows them to progress.

Over the last 10 years of work in the area. I have dealt with all the local companies, especially all the local mechanics and deisel mechanics. I have to point out that granite state has always treated my employer like we mattered and knowing that we had to be on the road as much as possible and never sitting. They never put there need for money or business ahead of our needs, and there are others around that have refused to see us or even try to help cuz we didn't have an appointment. So granite state is BY FAR THE BEST truck shop in Vermont!!!

Was in a bind because U-Haul completely dropped the ball (not the first time) I needed to move into my new house and only had the weekend to do it. I was able to rent a Penskee truck, with no hassle at all. The service was average but given the line of work, I think that is normal for this industry. Will use over U-haul anytime.

This the third time in 6 years that we have needed these guys, and once again they ACED IT! Rental truck starter failure on a steep driveway in the middle of nowhere VT resolved in 5 hours start to stop. Service call, tow to shop and repair. Doesn't get better than that. You can trust this company.
