Pete and Kara are great people. There aren’t too many garages around that whole heartedly put the best interests of the customer before profits. They are very knowledgeable, fair, and genuine people. 5 stars, I recommend their business to anybody.
Car was leaking coolant to the under carriage, needed emergency repairs on the way up to Burlington Vermont from Connecticut. Kara and Jeremiah gave my Passat an emergency replacement part for the time being to allow me to get up to Vermont while they ordered me the correct version of the part. They offered to put the correct version of the part in for me on my way back down from Vermont on the Friday following. No problems getting up to Vermont even with the emergency repair part they gave me. Very communicative, very friendly people, very cute cat Butters. Thanks Kara! You were the best.
Stopped in to ask if they wanted to buy some Audi 4000 Quattro's . Very nice people and very enthusiastic about Audi and VW not to mention BMW motorcycle's .
Over the year I’ve been working with Pete and Kara, I’ve come to appreciate their skill and professionalism so very much. They got me out of a few real binds with a tricky ‘80s Vanagon. Nothing I wouldn’t do for them.
I called Dexpart looking for a used transmission for a family members' 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit. I was at a pretty severe handicap, as I'm 1100 miles away in Nashville TN. I had called several other auto dismantlers to find their ads of having a trans for this car were false. When I spoke with Kara, she informed me they did have this transmission (still in a disabled car at the moment), quoted me a far more than fair price for it, and personally delivered it to the location where the car was the following day! I could not have asked to have been treated better, or had a more pleasant experience than I had with Kara at Dexpart\Volkspart. I felt like my needs were a priority for them. Highly recommended !
Peter and Kara run a fantastic business, and I'm so happy to have found them. They completed a pretty obscure diagnosis and repair on my VW Eos (an obscure car in its own right), as well as a laundry list of deferred maintenance. At every step of the way, they kept me informed in detail about what was going on, what parts were needed, and how the things they discovered would affect the time and materials cost. They're probably one of the only good reasons to own a used German car :).
Kara and her husband are true VW enthusiasts and it was great talking with Kara while they worked on my car. Will be taking my GTI to them for service when needed.
I broke down on my motorcycle, the owner stopped to see if he could help. His wife and another gentleman came by five minutes later with a trailer to tow my bike all that was asked of me after that was the pay it forward. For not being a customer of theirs I could only imagineWhat they do for their Customers. If I ever get a Volkswagen I know where I would be going without a second thought.
This business will not answer the phone and will not call you back when you leave a message. The woman who works here is rude and the passive aggressive arguing they do in front of customers is very uncomfortable to be witness to. The man who runs the establishment seems fine and if I only had to deal with him I would still go there for parts but everything you ask the woman to look up (you know “her job”) seems to be a huge inconvenience. I run a small VT based business and handle 50 to 75 calls a day from employees customers and prospective employees I answer every time and deal with the call in a professional manner no matter how inconvenient a time it may be. From my numerous interactions with the couple running this business is they seem they could care less about getting or keeping my business. I Won’t Be Returning to their establishment
Great place to get work done on your VW (or German vehicle for that matter). Peter and Kara are very friendly. I regularly go to Dexpart for oil changes and other maintenance. He is fair on price, very knowledgeable about what he's doing and won't do anything that is unnecessary to charge more like dealerships. I recommend Dexpart to anyone that wants trusted work.
I've taken my VW TDI there its whole life. Peter may not answer phone sometimes as he is VERY busy, but he always calls back ASAP. He's into motorcycles too. He helped me make my TDI Gulf onto a real GTI killer. Lots of good modifications to yeilded one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. 49.9 MPG @70 on the highway was my best
43-45 MPG average. Honest and reasonably priced work.
Very specialized & knowledgeable. Fair pricing (especially compared to most who service Audi/VW). Takes time to understand customer, explain options, and advise.
