Contacted Parkview mechanics because our Honda CRV was starting to overheat. Jake said just bring it over and we’ll check it out and got us right in (on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend) He took the time to diagnose and correct the problem at a very fair price. I highly recommend him and his work.

Jake towed my son out of Great Basin at 2AM, worked on the car right away for hours. Diagosed the problem and came up with solutions that my mechanic back home didn't know about. Took good care of my son and his friend, as well! Honest, smart, hardworking, and kind!

We were visiting Great Basin National Park and had a flat tire that could not be repaired… Parkview went out of their way to get a tire shipped from las Vegas. Mounted and installed on car .. put spare back under car all for a very reasonable price … very prompt getting back to us and letting us know status

Jake went above and beyond to help me out. At the same time, a few things he told me turned out not to be true, but I would like to think that they were errors made in good Faith. He went above and beyond in helping me fix the coolant leak. after he fixed the leaking hose and radiator, He said that the coolant was still running very hot and something was still damaged in the engine somewhere. And my car was only worth the scrap value at this point. Perhaps $200 or $300. He has many vehicles that he has purchased off people when they stopped working. Subarus do tend to have blown head gaskets, but he didn't have the chemical test to actually check for a blown head gasket. Luckily when I towed it to Salt lake City by AAA and had it checked out further, it seems that the leaking coolant was the only problem and he did fix it. It actually is not running hot and is within the range it's supposed to be when you measure it via the car computer. And luckily the engine is fine and my car is perfectly usable. So it all ended up really well! But I could see how if I didn't have an entire car worth of stuff and people to help me out in Salt lake City, And if I had enough money to just go and buy a new car, I might have Just sold the car to him when he said that the engine was damaged So much so that the car only has scrap value at this point, and gone and bought a new vehicle when now I actually might get another 50,000 mi after the repair that he did. He did go above and beyond in all the initial diagnosis and repair And charged a good price for the work he did. He first tried to help diagnose my leaking coolant problem over the phone which was very nice of him. When he was able to look at the vehicle that night, he tried to help me by by jimmying the leaking hose so that he wouldn't have to travel to get the parts. He even went to take a part off his spare Subaru to see if it would fit, but it didn't. He was really doing his very best to get me on my way as fast as possible. To get parts, He said it will take several days. If you do Amazon overnight or FedEx overnight. That is what he told me anyways and so he travels to go get them for you and charges you $150 or $100. Which was a very reasonable amount for how far he said he had to go. When he said he had to travel a very long distance to get parts, I wanted to just get my car towed, but he talked me out of it saying that it didn't make sense since it would take 6 hours for a tow truck to get here and I'd have to get towed the opposite direction from where I want to go And then the dealer may not be able to even fix it for several days. He was able to get the parts and do the repair and everything in a very timely manner. Thank you so much Jake for all your help, I really appreciate it.

Parkview saved our vacation! We had a tire blowout an hour away from Great Basin National Park. We limped in on a 10 year old spare. We were so nervous that we would have another blowout with more than 1000 miles left on our roadtrip and no major cities along the route. We called Parkview to see if there would be any chance of buying a newer spare. We thought for sure that the pricing would be way higher than what we’d get back home in the city, but Parkview did not charge a premium at all. When we went to pick up the tire Jacob spent a lot of time with us and gave some great advice on how to buy the right tire and avoid these situations on a road trip. His pricing was so reasonable (I was shocked that it was the same as I would have paid at Discount Tire back home!), that we decided to get a full set of four tires and have the peace of mind for the rest of the trip. He was able to get the tires within 2 business days. So we camped at Great Basin National Park and got the tires replaced on the way out. We made it through the rest of our two week road trip without an issue. So thankful that we found Parkview!

Our family broke down while visiting Great Basin National Park, and they truly did it all to make sure we were taken care of. They worked on our car, towed us, and even stored our trailer safely until we could get back on the road. Their knowledge, certifications, and years of experience gave us peace of mind during such a stressful time. Being stranded in the desert on a tight timeline, we couldn’t have found better people to save the week. Thank you for everything!

We were in need of a secure place to store a UTV for a couple days while our friends went to pick it up because we were having issues with it. We called Parkview Mechanics, Jake was super friendly and more than willing to store it securely inside his shop. Would highly recommend his shop if you are in need of anything and you’re in the area give him a call. He mentioned he also does some recovery work when needed.

Helped us out by diagnosing and fixing our flat tire at 6:00 on a Sunday evening. He went out of his way to help us and get us back on the road again! He was very helpful and knowledgeable about what happened with the tire. He even noticed the battery in our key fob needed replaced and just popped in a new battery for us! We are so thankful we found him and recommend him highly for any car repair!

Contacted the team at 3.50pm on a Friday afternoon , headed to the shop and within 30 minutes the issue with our electrical connection to our water pump in our RV was resolved. This wasn’t the easiest of repairs as the wiring and area the pump was in were difficult to access and left little room for maneuver. Can highly recommend an extremely professional repair, a great solution based focus and most importantly a functioning water pump. Thank you.

Listen, when you drive a 23 year old VW European with a quarter million miles on it (many of them while pretending it's 4WD) you and your husband become experts in breakdowns and backroads mechanics. We use Triple A as a last resort, but finding the local guy is usually the way to go. And we've never met a tow truck driver named Jake we didn't like. Except Jake showed up in his early 90's model Toyota 4x4 with a replaced VW engine and towed us to his shop, diagnosed the deal, and ordered the part, then went and picked it up the next day, installed it, and we were back on the road. So much more than a tow. Honest, trustworthy, clear communication, military veteran, just an all around nice guy helping people back on the road. Jake embodies small town goodness.

Jacob owner of parkiew is a kind and knowledgeable mechanic. Very stand up guy. Transmission cooling tube exploded and was stranded out near the basin. He was able to locate us and get me, my dog and car into his shop. Managed to get us back on the road in the same day. Real awesome shop out there in baker. Grateful for his existence and expertise.

Jake is a great guy with a big heart. I needed a tire valve replaced that was leaking and fixed it pronto. He works another job but likes to help stranded motorists and is very reasonable with his charges. A rare find this day and age . I wish him the best.👌

We had a regen issue due to a busted intake valve. Jake was fantastic, got us in, checked us out and did what he could without the specific parts. He got us back on the road and even offered to haul us to St. George, despite his schedule already being completely full. Great guy, excellent mechanic.
