I had a great experience at this AutoZone location. I really appreciate that they’re open until 9 p.m., which is very convenient after a full workday. They had the part I needed in stock, and they were also kind enough to help me exchange a part after my mechanic confirmed I needed a different one. Overall, the staff was helpful and the experience was easy and positive.

(I wish I could rate this store MINUS 500 stars.) Spent $250+ on a Duralast Gold Car Battery in 5/2025 at the Sun Valley Auto Zone. Here I am 5 months later getting a print out from my mechanic that the battery is only putting out 12%. (These batteries have a 3 yr REPLACEMENT warranty.) When I took my car and the report back to the Auto Zone on Sun Valley Blvd I was told by the young, skinny dark-haired salesman that I had to remove the battery myself and bring it back to the store to be tested, and then charged for 2 hours. I explained to this "salesman" that I'm a retired widow and would need to have them remove it since they are the ones that installed it. He said I'm sorry but you'll have to find someone to do it for you and bring it back. I did go to a different Auto Zone in the Reno/Sparks area and was treated completely different. They treated me like a paying customer and not a common criminal. I was given a new battery after a short test was performed on the battery. Good luck to anyone that buys anything from the Auto Zone on Sun Valley Blvd. They obviously don't know how to properly train their staff because their employees lack common knowledge and courtesy.

Their parts are low quality, but if you're in a pinch, they'll get the job done until you can get some good parts. That's if they get your part right The first time

Went down to replace the battery in the Chevy Impala. Met with associate Warren, he was kind generous and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to help me out. He even let me borrow some tools. He deserves a raise. A+++ customer service. If all auto parts representatives were modelled after Warren the world would be a better place.

I had two batteries that were in questionable condition. The Sun Valley Autozone store checked them out for me and confirmed that they were both bad. Warren was very nice and helpful.

This store is goofy as can be. Please avoid going here for anything minor. I needed some windshield wipers and was in the area so I figured, why not?? The guy who sold me a set of front windshield wipers didn’t measure for the passenger side which was supposed to be smaller. No worries, I’m a patient guy. They quickly swapped out that passenger blade for correct size and said I was owed some cash back for the difference. Nice, right?? Not really, the manager took over and when I went to go show him my receipt he said I wasn’t owed any money back and everything was squared away. When I asked why did his employee say I was owed money his response was “because he’s new.” I should’ve just went to my mechanic instead. Waste of time and money. Btw, the passenger blade was not priced the same at all.

Honestly very friendly staff! As someone who hardly knows anything about a car except driving it, I find it difficult finding a place that wouldn’t look at me weird when I do have questions. I’ve been here twice already and both times I left well informed. I got helped by an older gentleman named Lawrence and he explained to me the best options for what I was looking for. Very fast and super easy to understand. I also got helped by a friendly lady named Teresa H. She was also very helpful and nice. This place is full of helpful and friendly employees who are willing to actually talk and help you out!!

The store manager at the Sun Valley store is horrible! We went to exchange a bad battery that left us stranded 2 days in a row. We replaced the alternator and the battery destroyed the new alternator. We went in for the 3rd time in two days and again he treated us very poorly and said what happened when I replace the battery and you still are having the problem. We left and won’t be back.

My battery went bad but luckily enough it was still under warranty. What was even better? Gabby ( sorry about shortening your name. Spelling it correctly was my concern) rocked it and installed it even. Above and beyond! Thank you!!!!

Great location and decent selection. Employees don't always want to help. I have had couple of occasions where they go out of the way to help and others where they don't even look your way. Great product brands and will get it fast if not in.

I am doing this for Marilyn Jersey as she doesn't have internet. She was helped by Chad at store #3750. He went above and beyond to fix Marilyn's coil and reset her computer and spent extra time to make sure her car was up and running. She very much appreciates all the time and effort he put into providing excellent service and helping her as it was getting close to closing time.

Ordered a part. Went to return and they didn't have it in there system. Was a big problem just to get them to do there job. I heard they said they hate me. Which is a strong word under the circumstances. They should have a ring out back so you can handle business whenever it's needed.

This is my favorite auto parts store most of all! 90 percent of the employees are awesome and are always looking out for the best deals and prices to fit you budget. The other 10 percent, including one older, heavy set manager, are either new, or need re-education on customer service policies. They should take example from Eric, and learn them a thing or two. Anyway, got off track, back to the review... All the staff are well knowledged in all parts and will guide you in the right direction. If they don't know, they are up front about it and will look it up with you next to them so you can find out for yourself as well. Unlike 'Oreillys", who will say it's a complete brake set with caliper and mounts,and turnout you only got a caliper for $135 and now have to go back and purchase the mount for an additional $98.00. Bit, me being the smart one, I returned the caliper and drove 15 miles from my friends place, to my autozone, and got the COMPLETE KIT almost 1/2 the price, maybe another 18 dollars more than half, then after gas, lunch and a drink, still had $82.00 in my pocket! I recommend this store and all other autozones for your automotive, boat, motorcycle, trains, planes, and lawnmower parts! Ha! Just kidding! Drop the lawnmower, planes,and trains.

Decent shop. Mostly pretty clean. Sometimes the staff approach you to offer help. Otherwise you have to approach them, but they usually know their own store fairly well, which is great. You often have to walk them through finding parts on their computer systems. It's good to find the "veteran" car buffs. I don't like being up sold when I ask for something very specific, but I guess that's part of the business. I've shopped here many times and the store is at least honest.

I would give zero stars if I could. Today is one of many times I have stopped in for something simple and the knowledge and customer service was beyond lacking. I asked if they had a carberator adjustment tool and the man behind the counter rudly says it didn't pull up we don't have then stares awkwardly. Another employee says yes we do have one, show me the part on his screen then goes to find it and can't find it and says I don't know what to say try orielys I guess.....again I do a lot of work on cars and this is one of many similar experiences here. Definately don't waste your time at this store. I will not be coming back.

Wow! What excellent service I received from Luis and Mark. Although the service at this location is always terrific. *This is the only auto parts store to give your business to, hands down. We have been coming to this store for many years and know so many friends, family and neighbors who will not go anywhere else. Their service staff is so exceptional that it feels wrong not paying them for all of their above and beyond assistance and expertise. All of that help and their free diagnostic services often are given without even making a purchase.

Made a return waited the 3 days for them to process the return it posted to my account and refused to give me the money back...so they are not giving me the money back for a returned item beware they are not giving money back in returns for debit transactions...ps was thinking about buying 5000$ in parts that will never happen here.... Well this to me should have went different but I do believe that this was only taken care of after I filed a dispute with my bank....

The service is horrible it was extremely difficult to try and return an item that I did not need and the cashier looked up my phone number said my phone didn't belong to me it was embarrassing and completely untrue and not necessary. I was unable to return item after all, worst experience will never return for future business.

Great store, very knowledgeable staff. Friendly and helpful. Shelves are always stocked well and the team goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. They make you feel welcome and the store has an awesome manager, leading an amazing team. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I was just there getting some stuff for my truck and when the chick behind the counter called me up I asked her for a radiator cap. She sighed, rolled her eyes and walked over to another register and called the guy up that was behind me and left me standing there. I didn't catch her name but she was a younger Hispanic chick with a serious attitude. And while she was helping the Hispanic customer that she had cut in front of me she was throwing me dirty looks. I had to stand there and wait till another employee came to ring me up. If I had done that at my job I would've been fired on the spot.
