**Truck drivers**
As soon as you come in your need all information for pick up. Once you turn that in you will get on scale till got get a green light. Place is very tight for army trucks and they have ongoing traffic. Cars are parked everywhere so you will have problems backing up.
No restrooms are available but they do have port a potties on site. Took over 3 hours to get loaded, if possible avoid this place
Sweet! In n out, with no hassles, but why would there be? Everything was legit, that’s how it is. You do good they do you good, I will continue to take my business there.
I had a very bad expierence at this place i brought in over to 200 lbs of marine graded aluminun and got paid for something else after i cashed my ticket and realized i was been cheated i went back to talk to the poeple there to have them fix their mistake they refuse because i had already cash my ticket they are a bunch of CROOCKS AND STOLE AROUND 200 DOLLARS SO I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLACEB
Brought the same wiring in a week and a half apart weighed by Zach both times and the first time he said it was bright and shiny but the second time he said it was #1. Sleazy move.
I was just robbed by these crooks I brought in 308 lb of square aluminum tubing and cast aluminum and they gave me 35 dollars saying it was as sheet aluminum. At.25cents per pound that is not right I'm not new to the whole scraping thing unless they changed it to where everything is sheet aluminum but I know for fact they give different prices for different kinds of aluminum I am passed the kid who was running doesn't know anything
This is hands down the best place to scrap non ferrous materials in reno nv, sparks , although the shorthanded staff hiring new people has brought along a new set of regulations for burnt copper wire, beings that it is set for the price of refinery brass due to the little metal bits left in the burnt copper wire bunches so the difference in price is significantly lowered even if you do not have metal non copper bits mixed in they do not care and your hard earned an collected scrap is now worth notta at this point so if you are in the midst of a wealth of burnt copper wire do not scrap at this establishment. Other than that they are very good and fare and quick as well have a wealth of knowledge about the materials you bring in.
They could of helped us out a little more with info on how to get a more per pound amount. Know what your doing b4 you get there. Other than that the whole process was good.
Friendly, clean, professional and efficient operation. However aluminum cans are not worth the gas to recycle them. .10 a pound?!?! Guess NV wants to fill its landfills with cans?! So sad!
Y’all really live up to your reviews, A lot of the good reviews on here I recognize from their staff.. Rudest and Most unprofessional staff of ANY recycling center I have EVER been to. Employees working in the drive through warehouse need to have a Quailty customer service performance check... just saying..
Not worth your time and effort! They will bark demands at you, talk down to you, offer no help, and have no respect for their own business, job, or customers. After unloading your cans while the employees watch you & spit demands at you, you'll be thrown a receipt, you'll need to give them all of your identification information, then you'll get less than 25 cents a pound. Oh yeah, they'll misquote you the price before this horrible experience happens and you won't find out the real price until you've handed over the cans. This is from two separate experiences from two different people in my life. Dont waste your time here. Also their hours are not accurate, you may go at posted hours and they'll be closed. Pathetic business.
Website stated .28 per pound, I had 87 pounds of aluminum cans, when I cashed out they gave me 16 dollars. That’s adds up to around .18 per pound. A year of saving cans... dealing with this outfit kind of makes it pointless. You’ve been warned, don’t complain when it happens to you after reading this.
Incredibly impressed by how clean the yard is as well as their great prices. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. Every transaction is handled with efficiency and professionalism. Wouldn't go any place else! I highly recommend Western Metals Recycling in the Reno/Sparks area!!
Utmost professional staff and incredibly clean yard. The girls in the office are very helpful and professional. Prices are great, they exceed every other yards in town. Great experience and quick and easy transaction from start to finish. I highly recommend taking all your scrap metal to Western Metals Recycling!
Been coming here on and off, every thing is quick clean and friendly, if I could figure out the"title "of what it is I want to do, I would try to get a job there. I like the people there and I like being out doors getting dirty!
I don't though like their new atm machine, I like the one they had it to this one. The other you scan and go, this one you have to sign with the star there wise men back in the day aligned with and then you have to.... You get the idea.
But other than that, have your I'd they have all the other things you need to make money and save it environment but mainly, you can make some cash for doing good!
I have been going to this company to recycle metal since 2005 anything from pipe wire aluminum cans to engine blocks never had a problem with these people. I have driven commercial big rig into this place to pick up hazardous waste when I've been hauling it customer service there is great. These guys are very well organized and these are the people I would go to First than anybody else in the Reno Sparks Carson City area to recycle metal
They were super friendly and very helpful I've been to scrap yard like that most scrap yards just expect everyone knows how to do it when that's not the case but these guys have signs everywhere so if you mess up its solely on you but the best part is they spoke English fluently because sometimes I have a hard time understanding accents but these guys made the experience easy as making cereal.

I had load from them about a week ago. Staffs were nice n friendly. Took about an 3 hrs to load me up which is not the biggest complain that I have. Load itself is sucked. First of all the man who loaded me up didn't do his job properly, because of that the receiver wasn't able to unload me. Therefore the whole was rejected. Which ruined my whole weeks plan. He put 2,500 lb of compressed aluminiums on top of that 800 lb bagged loose aluminium. I was told by the receiver this was the worst they have seen. Secondly, the load is very dirty. Basically scrap metal for recycling. It will scratch and dent your trailer wall. My 2018 brand new Wabash trailer got couple of very deep and bad scratches. Lastly, cleaning up you trailer afterwards going to be a big headache.
Very clean yard compared to the other places in town. Very helpful staff especially working in 100 degree weather. I couldn't do it. Helped me sort and helped me push my bin. I'll be coming back to this place again!
This place is great! The staff is friendly. Clean yard. very helpful if you ask questions. I didn't get a lot of money but I really just wanted to recycle.
When I asked about the material they helped me sort it.
I think a lot of the other reviews are just grumpy people. :)
This place is a joke! I've been going here for 10 year's! Now I no longer recommend doing business here. Employees couldn't spot clean or dirty if it hit them in the head. Such a shame but management clearly has their head firmly situated where the sun don't shine!!!
Their scales are off, their workers don't know the difference between prepared aluminum and tin metal their intent is to cheat you out of your money

They were off on the weight by ten pounds, in their favor and when i requested to have my metal reweighed i was told no...because they already dumped it.
