Decided to change my review. I did not know that it was a family/locally owned business and so I can show some patience. They do seem to have better prices than the other recycling center. And the staff is quite helpful and friendly.
I've known this family for a long time now since they were in Vegas... They have been fair with prices and competitive how a business should be. My pops and Chuck sir both may R.I.P. both of them have done business since the 90's
Can't believe it says that they close at 12pm on 1 sign on Saturday l, And then they close at 1 o'clock on another sign on Saturday. But yet, their yard fences closed at 11am 1 weekend and then 1130am the next weekend. Guess that's how it goes when it's a family operated business.
I been going here off and on for years. The people are very kind very helpful I was sorry to hear about the owner passing loved that he was a biker also and now his kid's are running it and are amazing people. The worker's are great Sal and Bobby have been there since the first time I went there and they are always always really nice and helpful.
2023 STILL MY #1 PEOPLE . Bring your metal here family oriented always fair. It would be hard to live without all of you...loren hope your road your on is a happy one ill miss ya always and to the rest who has gone wether in reaily or spirit your always thought about there for we can never really be alone....awesome people
I have bin going hear for years this place is always fare and all the people are very nice and treat you with respect recommended this place for all your recycling needs
I have been dealing with Chuck and his family since they set up business here in Pahrump. Metal markets fluctuate and I always receive the best prices in the area including Las Vegas. Even if you are just recycling cans or loose metal from your property see Pahrump Valley Recycling.
Took cans there one time, they paid me 4 cents a pound. RIP OFF, everyone else was paying 80 to 90 cents. Didn't give me a price until they got my cans. They don't advertise prices for anything. But copper goes for 2 to 2.90 a pound right now from what I read so brass goes for 1.38. Let's see... So I called and asked how much brass and copper were being paid for, explained what kind I had. Guy says 1.70 for copper and 1.07 I believe for brass. He says " we have professionals that can tell you what you have when you get here"
This "professional" dumped everything I had in a bucket, didn't tell me squat, and paid me .45 cents a pound for 11 lbs of brass. Then shoed me away while I was trying to ask about the price difference. It's a large scale SCAM
The city one pays better I did a scale test with copper the rates are lower at this one the the first one in reality because thay R.I.P. you off the city one pay a little better Because there on point this one drops and aults there scales and down play clean copper
