Today we visited the hot springs, and we met a wonderful person named Steve who works here, he was very nice, and even gave us some hot chocolate, he gave us a tour of the springs he was always smiling, and made us feel very welcomed, because of him we will definitely come again.
Steve is the man, he was really kind and experienced at what he does. One of the pools was really hot and I asked if he could put the temp a little down and he made the temp perfect in the matter of minutes!
We had so much fun last night, Steve the man helping out in the hot tubs and pool area was so kind, giving kids pool noodles and was so knowledgeable about the temperatures of the pools for our little ones. This place is a real gem and so fun for kids and the pizza from the restaurant was amazing. Kids loved it. Oh can’t forget about the nice lady helping kids get bracelets on to swim she was very kind as well. Over all great experience!!!
We had a wonderful 3 days’ vacation here. It was a Christmas Holiday, not crowd. We went to hot spring Spa once, about 1 hour. Very relaxed! Highly recommend.
I am writing this at 7am - I've been awake since 2am. Babies below us, next to us - and the walls are PAPER THIN. Now, I get it, I'm a parent and I've been there. But to stick a couple on an anniversary in between 3 families of 4.. . seriously!??
These walls are PAPER thin and the curtains don't black out the light, so don't expect to sleep in.
The Hot Springs were average. Wish they had a co-ed Sauna so you could relax with your spouse.
IF YOU STAY HERE: Request a corner room with no neighbors. If you get a horrible night sleep request the resort fee to be waived.
Don’t ever have your wedding here, they will screw up your room, your rehearsal, your cocktail hour and promise you things they can’t do. Not comunicate accordingly and guess what…. When you speak to a manager they will deny it all and accuse you of being in the wrong. The most disgusting corporation (the holiday inn) with sleazy worms running the place. Not worth what should be the most beautiful weekend of your life.
Do not plan any event here they are unorganized and un willing to help. They canceled almost room with out notification and then charged me an excessive amount of money to rebook the room. The wedding wasn't even set up as quest were arriving.
I hope they get the place more cleaner. The hot spring is not even hot or clean they have lots of bugs in it. Even going to our rooms we have to go through tons of mosquitos before we got inside.
The audacity of this establishment to make you stay two nights and then charge you extra on top of that to use the facilities is sickening. The pools are nothing special and all in all the experience doesn’t compare to Carson Hot Springs.
Came in on a Saturday and couldn't eat in the main dining area because they only had one server for the while place. Was directed to the saloon(bar) where the worst live music was playing under fli kering lights! Only had one drink because one bartender was delivering food and drinks to the whole place. The food was terrible(seafood Mac and cheese worse than Kraft from a box). Noticed the live music guy had a bathroom garbage can for tips! Sad, but probably not going back ever again and used to love the place. If I ever get my check to leave!
The unit was spacious and we appointed. Loved the hot springs and the restaurant on site was convenient and the food was very good. A wonderful experience!
We were surprised to discover, at check-in, that hot pool access cost extra, same as a day pass ($55). Since we were checking in at 4pm, that meant we'd have only until 10pm, minus unpacking and dinner time, to enjoy the springs. Seemed unfair. Fortunately, an employee took pity on us Valentine's Day weekend celebrants and comped us. The location is amazing, the pools are great (and not too crowded), we liked the little store at the pool entrance, and our room was spacious and clean, with an otherworldly view out the window. The bar was small and friendly, dinner was acceptable, and all employees were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Only other problem was that, next morning as we awoke, we found that the only coffee provided for the in-room machine was decaf. :^(
Walleys is a great place to go for a five star dinner and a soak! The prices have gotten ridiculous at 50 bucks per person for the hot springs. Look for Groupon deals and they do have specials for dinner/hot springs deals and night stay/hot springs deals. Still one of my favorite places to take friends for a fun night.
