Herb Mignery made many bronze sculptures. The sculptures portray the life of cowboys and native American people during the late 1800's.

This is an amazing garden that is well kept. If you are lucky enough to meet Bob Nichols while you are there, have him tell you about the pieces. Don't forget to leave a donation so they can keep the place looking nice!

A Perfect Stop as We Passed Through in Our Mini-T Campervan While exploring Nebraska in our Mini-T Campervan, we came across the Mignery Bronze Garden when stopping at a small-town roadside garden and picnic area. What we thought would be a quick break turned into a fascinating and effortless stop—one that became a highlight of our journey. Located in Bartlett, a town rich in history, this artistic treasure offered a peaceful pause from the road and a chance to experience authentic Western artistry up close. With no admission fees and a welcoming atmosphere, it was the perfect place to stretch our legs and take in the incredible sculptures. After strolling through the garden and admiring the detailed bronze figures, we continued our journey through Nebraska’s scenic landscapes, historic sites, and charming small towns—grateful for this unexpected find and highly recommending it to fellow travelers!

Herb Mignery made many bronze sculptures. The sculptures portray the life of cowboys and native American people during the late 1800's. They are permanently mounted outdoors. It's a nice garden atmosphere. Well worth the drive. Donations are welcomed, but there are no fees.

What a treasure. We got a personal tour from the curator, who was so knowledgeable about the art and the sculptor. Fantastic collection.

I was surprised to find this little gem on the country roads of Nebraska. If you like bronze sculptures (not sure they're actually bronze) this is a very well kept display of around 4 dozen pieces in the found of a small museum. Most are of Cowboy and Native American people.

Bartlett is just a tiny tiny village in the Sandhills, one of only a few on the long highway from Grand Island to O'Neill. You have to really really want to get there. The sculpture garden was very much worth the trip. His sculptures are yes, primarily western/cowboy based but the emotions are universal. The emotions on the faces speak to anyone. I especially enjoyed the animals but that's me. From the immigrants to the "Douser" to the boys reaching for apples from horseback, all the art is intriguing and captures ones imagination.

Such a Great display of Bronze sculptures by one artist Herb Mignery. There's around 50 of them. We spent several hours there. His sculptures are so lifelike. They portray pioneer life very well. It's free, but take donations.

On our way to a short stay at the beautiful Danish Alps State Recreation area near Hubbard and a golf outing at the new Landman Golf Club near Homer, we stopped off at the Herb Mignery Sculpture Garden in Bartlett (on Highway 281 in Wheeler County). More than 50 bronzes from one of the greatest western artists in America. The bronzes are delightful and the work this tiny community put into the garden is impressive. I highly recommend a stop.

If you like hidden gems and travel to central Nebraska you will be impressed. Brochures are outdated because there are many more bronzes than the brochure shows and what an opportunity to visit with a volunteer guide Bob. Herb Mignery is from this tiny little town and shares his love back home with this free bronze statue walk.

This is a national treasure. Sculptures by a renowned artist, free admission, and a guided tour by the artist’s friend since childhood who knows the story behind each highly detailed sculpture. This should be on your bucket list!
