I accidentally posted this in the wrong location at first so I'm moving it to this page to properly reflect that this is for the north platte location. Rick the owner? Guy who runs this location? Rick Bialek harassed my family member on Facebook messenger after he found out we were paying 250$ a car. Also because we said we paid more than this location which was not intended to be a slam but just a truthful fact. He promised he pays more than that. We discussed offering him business with the cars when we were done with them for demolition derby or parts. We went in on a Friday and discussed prices. Even though he felt the need to come after us on Facebook messenger we soon found out his price was infact lower than the 250$ we paid for the cars (which was fine as we used them for our purposes) just not sure why he intentionally lied. Even still we offered to do business with him if he matches the price another location offered. That was end of the day on a Friday and the price was 140$ a ton. The following Monday we proceeded to bring in the two vehicles. He did not in fact follow his word with offering that same price. He gave us 110$ a ton. Which equated out to 150$ and 187$ for the two vehicles. So not only did he feel the need to lie to us claiming he paid more to try to get our business he wouldn't even back up his word in person. Would not recommend anyone in the North Platte area to come to this store and am very excited that Andersons salvage is coming to town to do business with.
well I just got robbed at alter metals. National going rate for scrap batteries is $0.10-$0.30 per pound. I showed up with 205 pounds worth of batteries. That should equal out to $20.50 - $61.50. They gave me $8.20 .
Side note though. The front Office lady was very friendly.
Very rude front office person. Asked questions for dropping off a rv frame and other questions as far as other towing places or scrap but was almost cut off every time we asked question. No help at all we will never go there again, hopefully there other locations have better customer service skills.
I'm unhappy with inconsistency and quality of service there always seems to be a catch 22 when it comes to payment it varies depending on who you are sometimes they will wright you a check if it's under 100 but today the requirements were producing an ID with the correct mailing address because apparently without out it there not willing to make any transactions very inconvenient and if inconvenienced they have no problem telling you where the door is. I appreciate using local business but man it would be nice to go get a check without the hoops to jump through again I can't find logic or reason as to why service isnt simplistic especially when I'm bring them my business I feel like they find its hard to do good business but it's there business they don't like being asked question no question
Well watch out, they pay way below national rates, took in #1 copper, they paid #2. Should be illegal. Told me I could come back & go over it. Bunch of baloney.
Lady behind the desk is incredibly rude. Ive been here a few times and she is always rude. Zero customer service skills at this place, including the rude ass workers
