What clients say about Andersen Wrecking Co., Inc. in Kearney (NE)
Very disappointed. After many years of doing business with this company. Will never come back, was treated. Very rude spoken to very rude. Almost wanted to slap somebody. Thankfully, I got self-control.
Anderson Wrecking is a great place to pick up salvaged vehicle parts. The customer service is great! Their staff have always been polite, honest, and very patient with my questions and part search requests! I will continue to call or visit them first whenever I'm in the market for a car or truck part repair!
The man who answered the phone for me was very friendly and helpful. Even though I called fairly late in the day, he took the time to go take the part off and have it ready for me, even calling to let me know when it was ready. Excellent service!
For the parts needed and the timeframe they said they'd be ready was amazing. Granted, they didn't quite make the deadline, but nevertheless, it was still in my hands at a more than reasonable time. When I called, they were upfront about everything, including the quality and interchagability. I could go on... highly recommend.
Great folks, Great parts, this place is our go to for replacement parts. They have a family operation like a lot of small businesses located here in Kearney. They keep our shop supplied If we need a part OEM quality used. Great people!
Messaged them about a rare part and they shipped it to me out of state. Fast and easy, had the item bought 5 minutes after inquiring. Quality part and fair price. I recommend.
I always save my aluminum cans and turn them in so that I can get gas in order to mow my yard. The guys in the back that weigh the cans are always very friendly. And, the man that pays out the money is friendly/personable, too. And, they pay in cash, unlike the other place, which issues a check. And, normally, they are also $.05 higher than the other place.
Absolutely awesome people! We drove here from Central Indiana and got exactly the part we needed for Silverado! They pulled it off quickly and had it ready to go. Great folks to work with. 😁
These guys got me a part that even the Chevy store could not! Part arrived in excellent condition and shipped quickly to me in a neighboring state. Pricing is excellent and everyone I talked to was very friendly. Without them my car would still be bricked. Thanks so much!!
Great place to go, the guy operating the scale is friendly, helpful, and informative. Crane operators were very careful and efficient. Whole experience was very straightforward and simple. No complaints.
My son likes to save cans and bring them in here to sell for a couple bucks. It helps teach him how to do business with adults, be environmentally responsible and follow through with projects.
Good in-person service when picking up parts for my company.
Tried using their online services to find probably over two dozen parts. Give the exact part number aswell. Never responded to a single one.
They always great to deal with. I've been a dedicated customer for 40 years now and never had any issues. Friendly bunch they are. I've never once dealt with their local competitor.
Just make sure that the parts you get are going to work for what you need or you are just out your money. So i responded just like it said below. I admit Michael was nice and got me the part from the main area like he said he would in the email. He asked me to change my review and i was going to until i went to change it out and kirby was rather rude. I stand by my post that says make sure that it fits your vehicle or you are just out your money. I also want to point out that on their website it says that they have a computer that can guarantee that you get the right part well apparently that computer is not always right. Sure they will take the part back and give you an instore credit that expires in 180 days so you have to either need another part from them in that time frame and hope that they actually have the part that you need or you are out your money and in the meantime they are selling that part that they took back from you to someone else. So not only did they get your money after using a program that is suppose to guarantee that the part will fit your vehicle then they turn around and sell it to someone else. I think you might want to look up the word guaranteed so you understand what it means.
If I would give David 6* if Google have 6 stars.
David is a super nice man. He delivered the best service, thorough and spent time to give you advices which worked best for you. He worked for your sake as well, not only just wanted to sell his stuff.
I was panic when my back-glass was broken, it was my only transportation. Called around to find part for it, everybody turned me down. David had what I needed, but he clearly told me that it would be broken if he sent it to me.
He searched in his system and advised me another place that closed to me. If I could not get it from there, I might contact him again.
Contact Andersen Wrecking Co, and ask for David. He is the best.
It's a salvage yard. The place is dirty and messy. I could never do it. I have been going to them for a year or more for metal, copper, aluminum, motors, unfiltered copper and other items to be recycled.
Nice people. Especially, Mom. She sits in the office and loves it when I come to recycle. She calls me Me. Handsome.
Of all the junkyards I've ever been to, this was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had.
The behind-the-counter guy was rude and condescending, repeatedly stating that I could LOOK at the vehicles in the yard to make sure of the parts I needed, but was to touch nothing on a vehicle without their knowledge.
I know some people steal things, but the insinuation that I would, really hit a nerve.
After we spotted our parts and went back, the guy started with the same sort of rhetoric, to which I finally shut him down, after that he realized I had had enough of his attitude and changed his tune.
The prices were so high, that, unless you need it THAT day..I'd just Ebay them.
I doubt I'll EVER go back to this location.
The other location across town is way better.
It's a great concept..the younger employee at the checkout office..he was very helpful and polite..respectful since, apparently they do not get many women in to get their own car parts. The other employees tend to over charge and are reluctant to help find the area needed. I send my male friend up to pay for the parts I need so I get the fair price instead of double unless the one employee is working. The prices are a bit too close to new prices on things like cam positioning sensor..the new one was less then what I paid for the used one which I found out after the fact. And the average time trying to find the vehicle you need is 30-40 mins..why are they not open on the weekends since tha t is the time when most 8-5 working individuals are able to go? That's throwing away a huge money maker..8-12 on Saturday is enough time to hurry and find your vehicle and quickly try pulling the part if it's even still there. If you have to search down each car to check if your part is there..don't bother going on Saturday. And, I searched for a year and a half for a body part my car needed..they knew it..yet I paid $2 each time I went to look when they could have easily told me whether they had gotten the car I was looking for in via a phone call instead of a trip out. They'll help my male friend with this just by a call in..what's the difference guys? Not all girls have the funds to have their car taken to the shop..isn't that what the parts yard is for..to save a bit of money?
A later note, if a customer is trying to remove the say---the glass out of a hatchback on a tahoe--and the glass broke due to another part such as the window wiper mechanism being removed prior to the current customers attempt..and was removed incorrectly , is it true that the customer still has to pay for that window regardless of how or why? Or is it one of those losses Andersen's understands they will have tons of at a self service parts yard? I wonder if all customers have the same rules, prices, and treatment or is it just certain people that are forced to pay for these circumstances and others are just waved through without charge of entry and several times have left with parts in hand..i wonder how many people belong to the bypass lane for those special parts? How do i sign up for these membership rewards program?
Its too bad these guys trust their employees so much to not question or maybe they do know..idk guys..something needs to improve but I am quite happy to see the weekend hours open past noon! Business picked up triple hasn't it!
I use these folks frequently for various parts needed for R&D - junkyard harnesses and connectors, various ECUs/PCMs from certain makes/models/year of vehicles. The people that man the front desk know EXACTLY what parts came in which vehicles which helps me out a lot.
They are friendly and provide quick and convenient service. I can't speak for their internet/online service but locally and in person they are absolutely top notch.
