Very bad experience!! Middle of the week night we called at 9:00 p.m. Because it said it was a 24-hour service. Could barely understand them needed a tow for a Nissan ev. Told she would be 30 to 60 minutes. To pay my credit card we had to voice okay that for any cancellation we can charge for 50 to 100% of what we paid for the tow. Picked up or not. 11:00 p.m. We called to check on why it hadn't been delivered it's only a few miles from our house they told us it wouldn't be until 8:00 a.m. the next day before they can come pick it up. Had to call them at 9:15 a.m. To find out what's up. We're then told that for an extra $158 they could come. pick up our Nissan Leaf . Because the battery was dead and they didn't know how to put it in neutral. After some discussion with them we were told they would refund or money. Good luck...
After calling around I'm told by more than of their competitors clrw towing had called and presented themselves as my insurance co. To get THEM to pick it up. At that point we knew nothing of the neutral problem.
If they had just been up front to begin with and said "We can't pick up your car because..." I could have told them how to get it in neutral manually. It takes about 3 minutes to accomplish. VERY SKETCHY!
These guys and gals are the best. I was an idiot and put 15 gallons of gas in my diesel and they had it towed to the shop within a half hour and had my truck ready the next morning with 2 new filters and a full tank for $730. It would have costed me more to do it myself after they towed it to the destination. Bo and Kathy saved me big time. And the other tow truck driver that I forget his name. Definitely call them if you need help. You will be satisfied. Thanks friends!
Dead battery at 4:58pm when they closed at 5 - they came and jumped the car, replaced the battery, rebuilt the terminals, got me going on a holiday weekend - saved my rear! They went above and beyond!! Thank-you!!
On vacation from Oregon & broke emergency brake cable on our trailer. We were told this was the place to go for help. Front desk cheerful, helpful & efficient. Ben was able to patch the cable back together. He said no charge but would I make a Google review... In & out in about 10 minutes. Five stars because there's not six!
Ben was awesome! He bailed us out at 8pm on a Mon after we had 2 RV tires blow within a few miles of each other. We were 15 miles north of Seeley Lake and he had us driving again in under 90 mins. Highly recommend Ben and his service. Very nice guy too—he was able to make a few jokes and lighten the stressful situation for my wife and I. Lastly, Ben charges standard everyday competitive prices compared to a standalone tire shop when he could be charging extra for his ability to mount and balance a tire in his shop in just a few minutes. Thank you Ben!
We were driving up to Whitefish for the 4th of July and blew a tire on the way. Clearwater Towing and Repair was closed at the time but agreed to come back to the shop and meet us to replace the tire. They had the correct size in stock and graciously helped us out in this unfortunate situation. Great shop with wonderful service and people.
This place is awesome! Last night I was stuck on the side of the road in Montana without gas due to a bad fuel in my Honda. FRIENDLY, fast, respectful! Thanks Ben!

Call them! you won't regret it! Long story made short: my daughter slid on wet roads into a ravine that left her cold in the rain and weather and in danger of losing her truck - or worse. Mayday call to me resulted in 18 different tow companies called to help her keep from freezing to death overnight. No one could or would help except Ben. What a great family business! They understood the panic of a mom 1300 miles away from their kid stuck in the snow, kept in communication, and winched her out. We are so grateful they helped us out of a situation that could have ended really bad. THANKS! Forever grateful!
I got myself into a jam on a Saturday morning out near Ovando by getting stuck in a snow drift. I could not dig myself out no matter how hard I tried and was completely unable to move my vehicle. Fortunately, I was able to get one bar of service and googled ovando towing. Clearwater towing was the first option and they answered kon the first ring. Ben came out with his rig and winched me out no problem. I'm grateful for companies like this that are available and willing. Ben saved the day.
My truck broke down Saturday just a little before 5 pm. I called Kathy, she talked to Benjamin, and he not only agreed to come and help me out, but got my truck to his shop after hours, gathered the parts and got me on the road that evening!!! These people are the truest examples of Montana's!!

Caught a nail somewhere along the way. Was lucky to find this shop open on a Saturday. First walking in the two ladies were very nice. Then the man who I believe was the owner found us a used tire and had it on within minutes of pulling into their shop. Very nice and knowledgeable and most of all very kind for not even charging us for the spare tire. Thank you so much for your help and making our quick trip to the lake more enjoyable.
We pulled in as my truck started making a grinding noise as we got into Seeley. As soon as I pulled in and popped the hood, someone came out, drove around the parking lot, diagnosed the problem and was able to get my truck in and back on the road in under 90 minutes! Exceptional service! I got a puncture flat while pulling my travel trailer on a Sunday morning. Even though they are closed on Sundays, he met me at the shop and had me back on the road in no time.
We were having brake problems on a Saturday evening near closing time. Ben and Kathy told us we could stop by and Ben promptly fixed the problem in a friendly manner. He got us on our way in a short amount of time. Would highly recommend them for any car troubles.
I was incredibly lucky to receive Ben’s help when my car overheated south of Seeley Lake. Thought I might need a tow but Ben was able to get me all taken care of and back on the road to make it home safely. He is incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I understood what was happening. He made me feel very comfortable; I knew I was in good hands. I cannot be more thankful for Clearwater Towing! Major recommendation: If you’re driving through the area quite a bit, save their phone number in your phone! Call them instead of AAA! AAA will either take forever or not show up!

Great experience with this business. Had to get a vehicle towed from Missoula to Seeley Lake and they were on top of it from start to finish. From the office person, Kathy, to the tow operator we were informed of when the vehicle would reach its destination and if there were any delays. Customer service is top notch and they went above and beyond. Can’t say enough good things about them!!
My truck desperately needed some love and the good people at Clearwater towing and repair were the right choice! Ben, Kathy and Doris put my worries at ease and helped me keep my old truck rolling safely down the road. They fixed my brakes and an accelerator issue and got me back on the road in no time. Cleawater has my highest recommendation! These guys are the best!!!

I got a flat in the Forrest above the lake and called these folks, I didn’t initially bring it in and decided to head to Missoula to get tires changed. My spare (so I thought) was about to pull my car apart and making crazy sounds.
Waiting pulled over on side of the road 7pm, no reception, feeling helpless thinking what now…. A car pulls over to help. It was the husband and wife owners of the towing company. The husband had just gotten his tooth pulled, in his day off, he jumped into help. I can’t say enough how kind and gracious they were to my predicament.
They got me on the road in 15 minutes and gave me some maintenance tips as well.
This will be my mechanic for my Jeep from now on

Late here to share my experience with Ben of Clearwater Towing back over Memorial Day weekend. It was Sunday evening, day before the holiday, and he showed up surprisingly fast to get us back in our rig (that a friend's pup had inadvertently locked us out of). He was so efficient and kind. Genuine Montana-style hospitality. We were impressed, and you will be too!
This business deserves more than five stars!!! Our family of seven broke down 45min from anywhere. Luckily they were called by a young man I waved down and asked to call a tow. We were treated amazing to say the least. They went above and beyond for us without hesitation. We are forever grateful for this amazing group of kind folks. Thank you so much for being there for us the way you were.
My friend and I hit a deer in our rental car at 6am on our way to the airport. The folks at Clearwater towing showed up quickly to save us, and helped us make the appropriate phone calls necessary to get us on our way. They made us feel so taken care of, and we eventually made it to the airport and got home safely. I can’t thank them enough!

They give you options that don't depend on them making money. They are interested in getting you back on the road and to your destination. Trustworthy people and service.
Clearwater Towing was amazing in their professionalism. Ben went out of his way to assist me with my stuck truck in the middle of the night. Not only was he able to free my truck he was very insightful on some mechanical issues. The service was great and his willingness to go above and beyond expectations was much appreciated. The folks at Clearwater towing are incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. I needed some assistance getting my headlights adjusted before I began my return to my home in Texas. They were quick to look at my truck and take care of my problem and we’re very reasonable. I highly recommend Clearwater Towing and repair for any automotive need you may have. No one friendly or more eager to serve their customers. My only regret is I don’t live in Seeley Lake so they could be my auto repair people.
Had my car break down North of Seeley Lake. Got a ride from someone into Seeley to Clearwater Towing. They were quick to get someone there to take me to my car and load it on the trailer. Took me all the way back to Helena quickly as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable people for sure. Thank you very much for the awesome service. Would recommend you any day!

My mom & I had a great experience with this company! Ben was our tow truck driver. He was very helpful and polite. He assisted us in making educated choices as we are from out of the area. He showed compassion as we both just experienced our first accident, offered & we accepted to stop to use the restroom and get something to drink as we had been sitting on the side of the highway for a few hours! Great service & would recommend them to anyone in need!
