Carnahan's and JD, as always provide a reliable and friendly service. I have used them since 2008 and have nothing but praise. This last service was a complex loading and tow of a 24' travel trailer. Hands-down, the worst place I have ever took my vehicle to be fixed. The mechanic thinks he knows everything and he isn’t even certified !!! what a joke went in for a simple strut repair on my jeep came out with a hole in the oil pan oil filter, housing leaking they told me I didn’t need a front end alignment after replacing the struts which you do argued with me on flushing, my transmission cooler, lines, and coolant after replacing my oil filter housing unit I then had to take my jeep to Lithia Dodge to get it repaired which was $2400 later and I will never recommend them people to fix my vehicles ever again or anybody else’s in the valley.Troy that works there isn’t honest or trustworthy and not very knowledgeable I think they should stick to towing not auto repair.
Clowns. Had a tow with them through AAA and they accepted tow, this was at 10 am. 2 pm they canceled and said they are not going to my area. Waited 4 hours for nothing.
I have allways had good service at Canahans repair service. I recently broke down 150 miles away i oppted to have to towed to Canahans Repair than having it fixed closer. Lastime waterpump on my diesel pickup. Now i think its a starter on my minivan. I recently had my drivers window fall to the bottom of the door in my minivan after i tried to roll it down when it was froxen shut during a cold snow storm while driving from Havre to Great Falls and stopped at Carnahans after 35 really cold miles at closing time and they went out of thier way and got me in first thing in the morning and had it fixed that same day I allways take my vehicle to them I trust the boys at Carnahans towing and repair. I just dont understand the $ 200 door switch replacement.
Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Repair was quick. As soon as I checked in they took my car into the shop and began work immediately. Very pleased with service and repair.
Carnahan’s is a really great car repair and towing business. They have done towing for me in my remote mountain location. They are timely and dependable. They have the right towing equipment to take great care of my rigs. No dolly towing from them! They are also extremely honest and do excellent repair work. They listen to me and work to make sure my vehicles are fixed correctly the first time. I’ve had them take care of my car repairs for about 6 years. They have never let me down. They are professional and courteous and keep me informed. They get my rigs fixed as quickly as they can. I cannot recommend them more highly.
We blew a tire on the motorhome 45 min outside of Great Falls. Kasey took very good care of us. Kind, knowledgeable and respectful. Got 4 of us humans, the two dogs and the motorhome safely to Great Falls.
Used this shop a lot. Normally very good work. Wife saw them running errands to Walmart in her car (stickers make easy to recognize). Vehicle was detailed inside before work but returned with much dirt on floormats including backseat. Lame excuse of "road test" for climate control work. Charged $15 for gas and gave back empty... $10 fills this vehicle greater than 1/3 tank.
Carnahans is such a good company to work with! They kept my car safe for months impounded and worked with me on a price to be able to actually afford to get my car out and they towed my car to my house because it wasn't able to drive. I would recommend this company for everything they have to offer!
Top notch service extremely great knowledgeable employees excellent pricing! Was in town with my semi delivering a load a couple miles north when I woopsed my front tire into the ditch these guys tugged me out in no time flat 0 damage to any equipment. Was expecting both barrels pointed at me as I had out of state plates. Nope treated me VERY fair thanks again to the guys driving Mongo! They were very nice to sharrif Bart!???
The most AMAZING service ‼️ TOP NOTCH COMPANY ?- Came in town from Havre and had our Suburban ?sitting in a storage yard for 5 years and it would not start. ? Tried everything and by 2pm on a Friday we were at our last straw. Called for a tow and although our last 3 experiences (outside of Great Falls) with AAA have resulted in over an hour wait, this service was there in minutes! This pleasant surprise was not even the best part. (The driver, I believe AAA said it was Trevon) was the best service driver we have ever experienced. If this is the caliber of Carnahan's Towing employees, ?% this should be your only choice for towing and services. For a AAA service, we understand that usually the companies may not get reimbursed fully or have to fight for payment, so in turn sometimes this shows in service. Not in the slightest for this guy and company. Patient, went above and beyond, hard working, and professional ! ?? Thank you Carnahan's for hiring such great employees and for operating such an Honorable company with super service! We will support and recommend you always.
I have been a loyal customer at Carnahans for years. Today 17 Jan I had the worst customer service experience ever. The lady that was working was hanging up the phone in my face… constantly. And when I finally called back to check on my tow, she said we don’t have anyone available and rudely hung up in my face. My insurance provider heard the entire conversation. She seemed overwhelmed and frustrated. At the end of the day she’s still getting paid to do a job. Management you need to address this behavior. I’m pretty sure it’s not the first time this has happened. Beyond ridiculous!
Bunch of good guys to work with. They really helped me out of a bind and had a great attitude the whole time. JD was really knowledgeable and went above and beyond with no questions asked. Will definitely use again (if needed). Thanks guys!

I had a crash while I was pulling a trailer with my F150 pickup truck. Carnahan’s towing gave top of the line customer service! Zach and Travis got the wreck cleaned up completely while I stayed warm and safe out of the weather. I didn’t have to worry about my belongings or anything! They were sure to do a thorough search and I felt like they went above and beyond. Towing truck guys are hero’s to us out there and are overlooked as to how much work goes into what they do. I felt like I wasn’t just a number but someone they cared about. I highly recommend Carnahan’s Towing for any of your towing needs! What an asset Zach and Travis are to have on this team! Guys came out to the middle of nowhere Montana to help us get a semi truck loaded on a trailer. These guys were on site within the hour of a phone call! Highly recommend these guys!

Very knowledgeable and helped guide me through the process, expectations were outlined along the journey, and the right people came and took care of me, my car, and got it to the right shop for repairs. Carnahan Towing and Repair flushed my coolant system and installed a coolant pump last winter. Once spring hit I noticed a coolant leak coming from the pump/heater core lines. I took pictures of the leak and even a video as the drip was fast enough to see every 4-5 seconds.
I showed them where it was leaking and I asked if they would work with me on the cost of the fix if they found that it was an installation issue, they said "we don't warranty our work."
When I took the heater core lines out of the coolant pump the o-ring on the heater core line was in bad shape (see picture). I looked in the coolant pump box they returned with "old" parts and found a new o-ring which stopped the leak as soon as I installed it.
When I replaced the o-ring I also found that they did not install a gasket between the engine and the belt cover assembly, despite them telling me they had.
At the time of service I asked about this gasket and they told me it wasn't important. I responded that Toyota put one on every car they made and that it was important. Then, they told me they would use silicone to seal the area the gasket was supposed to be in.
However, when I fixed the coolant leak I found they only put some silicone in the easy to reach and visible areas. Most of the bottom portion of the belt cover has no gasket or silicone leaving an 1/8" gap between the cover and engine.
Last, they either mixed up or lost, and then replaced, a bolt for that cover.
It was a poor experience and for my sake and theirs I hope it is not how they normally operate.
