Had my vehicle break down at a gas pump called AAA... Elliotts refused to tow it due to inclement weather. Not 10 minutes later, I'm getting a phone call from the gas station that it's being towed by none other than Elliots for impound, and I can pay to have it out when he literally said, no to AAA three minutes prior. Of course.It's a business and it's all about money, but he is a joke
He wasn't interested in making it right. He wasn't interested in his contract with the company that I pay. He is not a company or man of his word to anyone obviously. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else.
Randy Elliott overcharge me for a wrecker service. When I call he said $60 but he charge me 250. I would never use this company again. I found a guy same type wrecker service charge me half the price I paid him.
The owner is a complete jerk. My car was left on side of the road cz it was having issues and someone stole it and it was impounded. The police released my vehicle to me. This is literally the only thing my daughter and myself have left cz our home burned just a few days ago and the dude can't meet me to give me my car after hours even tho he lives next door. I highly suggest that people use Harrys towing bc at least that man has a heart and is a heck of alot nicer than Randy Elliot.
Today is the 3rd time in just a few months I have called them. The first time they winched my car out of the mud and due to where I live getting out here could not have been easy but he came and never complained. The cost was very reasonable. The second time they towed my car to the garage in Potosi because my transmission went out. AAA paid it and today they towed my truck from a garage in Potosi to a garage in Park Hills. AAA paid for this tow too. They have always been very professional and polite and very patient with all of my questions. I highly recommend them and will not hesitate to call them again.
It's a rip off. It's 2023, and they don't take credit cards or bank cards. Cash and local checks only. Really...... And your vehicle get a thorough going through. I guess so they can see how much to charge by what you have in your car that is of value.
Forced by the local PD to use them. Horrible customer service amateur operators damage my vehicle worse than the accident then charge me twice as much as any other tow companies say they would have for 10 minutes of work two blocks from their shop and yard. Nothing but thieves!
I was in an accident on 185 right before Potosi Missouri they came to tow the car and clean up they make sure they got all my belongings in the car and towed it to their lot I didn't actually jobs everything was there they were very helpful and considerate and helping me get my car towed and the insurance company to pick it up
called to get a quote to pick up stinger axel, quoted 100-200 on the phone, this compnay goes and picks it up, then decides its a $500 job, no phone call, just a new total!!! heads up!!! bring more money!
Boss Hog of towing, 900 dollars to tow a motorcycle that didn't need to be towed. Hoping it wouldn't be affordable, refuses to hand over any belongings unless he's handed the title. Hung up on me when he was laughing about applying for a title so the bike would be his and I said good luck getting past the lien. The Washington county Police golfing buddy, non-commercial towing company with 3 employees. Also a salvage yard/junkyard, perfect set up for any chop shop whether he actually gets a title or not, with the cops being buddy's, who's ever going to look twice other than the ones he screws over, which are quick to have his friends lock up if they shake any feathers. Tow bill is up to 1500 btw, and as I said from the beginning, 900 was outrageous especially when there was no need to tow it to begin with. He said he needed to bring a trailer and a special truck to get where the bike was, and it was urgently needing to be towed or damaged. Not my fault if he can't drive, he's in the wrong business. Area wasn't affected, and wasn't the owner that called (that would be his buddies,) wasn't due to an arrest, wasn't in the way or affecting there job. Boss Hog is the best way to describe the crook, but any way I know who it's not going to work out for.
By far the most ridiculous towing company I have ever delt with, if my car ever needs to be towed again I would rather push it 10/15 miles to where it needs to go than to call this joke of a business... Firstly, bring cash or checks because they dont accept plastic (the sign of a failing business & money laundering) Secondly beware of your social media! They send offensive messages to you, your family and even children via facebook & Twitter. Absolutely psychotic!!!! Now insulted, threatened and harassed I may have to get a restraining order too. Unbelievable.... If you have any automotive needs contact Jerry Beck Auto has A+ and 100% professional. Trust me, save your self a nightmare!!!
I like these guys. We've had to use them many times, and the drivers have always been friendly and polite, whether they are moving a car 5 blocks, or 20 miles. Only had to pay them out of pocket a few times (because my insurance normally covers it), but the price was pretty fair. Local for me, and get there pretty quick. I've used others before (not by choice) and was never as happy as when Elliot's do my towing.
It is not that I hated it--it is that I was overcharged an unimaginable amount and then poorly treated after I had asked the obvious questions of how in the hell and why. I paid $180 for my truck to be winched less than 50 yards out of the mud. He drove a total of no more than seven miles to reach the property where I was staying and after the job was done I met him at an atm in town. When I told him I could only pay $100 due to my working man status, he became very rude and impatient. After I told him he sure gets paid well for almost no work at all he just stared at me and then told me how in Imperial, where I live, they would charge $300. Sure makes me feel much better about the $180… This guy was quite the jar-headed fellow; couldn't even remember what his boss had told him 15 seconds after getting off the phone with him. I would recommend calling the Navy or Army before using this towing company.
