Absolutely unprofessional and incompetent. I brought in a DPF system from a 2011 Ford F-250 6.7 — a unit that is widely known to have solid value — and was told it was worth nothing. I personally entered the code myself and it came up immediately. When I asked the employee to double-check in case he mistyped it, he refused to even get out of his machine to verify it and simply said they didn’t want it.
Zero effort. Zero accountability. If you’re going to be in this business, at least know what you’re looking at and be willing to double-check your work. This experience felt lazy and dismissive.
Love this place I try to visit 2 or 3 times a day, doesn't always happen great folks work here very friendly honest and helpful been to a lot of scrap yards over the years this is the best
Been going here for the last 2 years great customer service quick and efficient with scrap prices plus truck or car bumper sticker for them gets you a little more can't beat that Great Company All in All 🙂

Show up at 3:50 with your son's 2 trash cans full of aluminum cans (a transaction that takes 5 minutes at most), and they say they close at 3:45.
Change your hours if you're not going to honor them. That way people aren't wasting their time and money - gas isn't free. More than one person said "we close at 3:45". So either it's a literacy problem, or a work ethic problem.
Driving around was a bit confusing, but they are open to small deliveries, dopped off a couple of car batteries, and a handful of old copper pipes, $90. It's worth the drive, just as a note, you don't need to be in the line with the trucks, that line is for steel/iron by the ton, anything else is the gate on the left.
OTP, she wasn't the nicest or meanest person I've ever talked to, but I'm just going to give information on what they take. I hope it helps.
I called to ask about getting rid of several things we have that have just been laying around. I have a list my husband told he wanted to get rid of and I asked if I could read my list and she could tell me what they take. She said they only take metal.
1. I said okay, so you don't take lawn mowers because of the plastic. She said anything connected to metal was fine.
2. I said will you take a propane tank. She said it has to be cut in half.
3. Lawn mowers and weed eaters... no gas or oil in them.
4. Tires... just the rims
5. Long (10') metal tubes is fine
6 Gas can, metal... empty and cut in half
I understand closing the doors 15 minutes early on a Friday. But the way we are treated and basically run off the parking lot by the main manager is ridiculous! I own a very successful jetting and plumbing company in the St Charles area and was actually wanting to talk to somebody about bringing the thousands upon thousands of pounds of scrap we have every month that we need to unload for room in the shop. I can't see ever treating a possible customer the way we were treated because he wants to go home. And because of who my shop manager is and the way he looks is the other reason! I don't appreciate it at all and will tell every teamster and multiple union hall members to boycott this business!
I EQUATE IT TO GOING TO MC DONALDS AND TRYING TO GET ICE CREAM. THEIR EQUIPMENT IS ALWAYS BROKEN AND THEY REFUSE TO UNLOAD YOU. NOT VERY FRIENDLY EITHER.
If this could be a negative star I would make it -5 we pulled up at 3:48 to orange cones at the entrance yet the doors were still open my friend got out of the vehicle to ask if we were able to cash in a small amount of aluminum the guy inside said sure. My other friend got out to get the aluminum out when another guy came over and ask my friend very rudely if he could see the cones my friend replied yes he said then you should notice we're closed. It wasn't 4pm but they were closed
Prices are fair and staff was friendly. Only issue is they only accept any type of fencing as donations. Go down the road Warrenton or Jonesburg, they pay for chain link fence.
The 2 workers was rude and very disrespectful I will take my business else where for sure because how are you going tell a costumer to hurry up and grab their ID and unload fast because he said they wanted to go home and on top of that they lock up the gate for the night with me inside my truck in the fences still for 15 minutes and I finally got their attention by yelling threw the gate as they was walking towards their vehicle to leave good thing I got their attention and got let out of the gate and get a sorry from either one
Best price on scrap metal for a convenient local place. They seem to be good guys. I've been using them for a few years. Truthfully thankful they came out this way.
Fair prices for metal scrap. Convient process. Friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint was they paid us for irony brass instead of the clean brass that it was. But that is the only problem we had in the 3 years we have been going there.
