I've had good experiences before with them which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1.
I called today to get prices on steel scrap. They gave me a price so I drove the 30 minutes up there
. When I got there I was told that both their scale and loader were frozen.
I wish they would have told me before I made the trip.
They said we could unload it by hand. But I wasn't unloading 7000 pounds of steel pipe by hand and if their scale was broke how would I get paid.
I guess if it's below freezing I have to find somewhere else to. Take scrap
It depends on the guy you deal with. If it is the one who I assume was originally running the place, you're good to go. There's another fellow there that will not be honest with pricing, though. I've been short changed several times. Additionally, I was charged minimal value for items that he incorrectly classified more than once. I'd take my business to Jonesburg. Great prices and honest folks.
You're probably good if you bring somebody that does scrapping a lot but if you go by yourself and you don't really know they will screw you over every time. I went up there with the Cadillac converter and I went to two different recycling companies in Warrenton. This company gave me $40 and SA recycling gave me $84. So watch your back because they won't..fyi. same converter.
Great service fair prices. I sent my son there after he was ripped off by the big name on the outer road. He was treated right and that speaks volumes.
First they are open on Saturday! I work during the week and this helps. I work in the plumbing field and always have scrap. So I knew the scrap prices before showing up and they where spot on. They are friendly and helpful. I recommend this buissness over others in the area.
