Very poor customer service. They are very rude. I've called in there twice, each time I've been spoken to like I absolutely had no business even calling asking the question. When they first started selling what they could to salvage from going to the junkyard, the prices started out great, and then they start pricing items very high and their attitudes went south... They are rude to women as well. Its a shame the owner allows his employees to act the way they do towards people who bring things there to scrap? Which in return pays their payCheck, maybe they ought to think about that or a bit. Keep being rude to customers eventually , you won't have a business , which means your employees won't have a paycheck.

Great place for all your recycling. I really like the resale being moved to the front, it looks good.

Not a good place for recycling scrap metal. At .01 cent per lb I felt cheated. I had a good amount of metal saved up through the years of modifying trucks. Several Brake rotors, drums, sets of HD upper and lower control arms, exhaust manifolds, spildles, etc... 961 lbs worth got me $9.61 lol I know where not to go if I'm trying to recoup some extra cash. That would have landed me roughly $200 at the recycler I used to live by. If I'm just trying to get rid anything and everything to clear space and expect nothing in return then this place looks like a well organized place for that.

They recycle almost everything and SUPER easy to back up the ramp for the assist to unload. They also have a sidewalk sale for items in fair condition. Very friendly staff and signs mark directions well along with informative website

Great recycling center. They take a broad range of items. Some items they pay you, others you pay them a modest fee but seems like it gets recycled properly. Very good to work with. Highly recommend.

This is always a fun place to visit. You can drop off scrap metal and paint or buy scrap metal and paint plus they have a thrift store with a lot of books. Watch your steps since there's a lot of traffic. But you will see one of a kind things outside for sale. And the staff's pretty friendly.

These guys that work there are rip-off artists. I took two adult aluminum swingsets with the bench swings in totally clean and neatly cut up with some smaller pieces of aluminum. The guy at the register removed four pieces of aluminum before weigh-in. After weigh-in, guy at scale tells me 13.4 lbs and offers me $1.35. Total liars and especially toward women. Go somewhere else for recycling. These guys are total losers.

Excellent recycling center!!! There is always a great team to help. They are community oriented and participate in the Eureka Scarecrow Festival.

Wish more places like these existed so that we all can be more sustainable while helping the local economy and future generations. Great team works here. Please use their services. You could make some $ depending on what you recycle and even buy used stuff.

Dropped off a great deal of things that had been taking up space in the house. Very friendly staff with reasonable prices!

Yeah, i had to pay for them to recycle typical recycled goods. I was not happy at all. Never going here again. Here take my stuff that you will make money off of and let me pay you to make money off me.... NO THANX!!!!

Was looking for a place to get rid of my old antifreeze and Earthbound Recycling took it. Had to pay a small fee but well worth it. Fast and friendly service also. Thank you

This is a great place to recycle old paint cans. I took over several almost full samples even. Hopefully someone else can put them to good use!

I had a really nice experience today, and all of the staff were friendly and kind. Their prices are fantastic! They have a wide selection of books, which was a nice surprise. Paint is so affordable, and they even have some shelves with free paint. I'll definitely be back!

This business is helping to really reduce landfill waste and they take almost anything (some restrictions apply o f course). You’re not gonna make a lot of money, but you’re also not gonna pay to haul your stuff away. They have always treated me right and I have taken things there many times. I have not found a business like it that takes so much stuff and finds a way to have it reused. I’m really happy they are in our community. They also sell some things, so possibly a good source for odd steel or metal parts.

I wish the big bald guy was a lil friendly. He always looks like he is trying to intimidate someone.......never smiles. The other guys r at least cordial.

Haven't had a bad experience here - don't visit often, about twice a year to drop off electronics and metal items. Staff have been accommodating and helpful unloading. Interesting stuff for sale as well.

They take stuff for free, but they are all kinda rude. Except the forklift driver, he was way cool. We dropped of a pallet full of cinder block. The place is kinda clunky, and hard to get in and out of for as much space as they have in front.

This place is great! Dropping off things for recycling is super easy. The workers are friendly and the drop off area is very clean. They really do recycle almost anything.

We had a great time. Even seen someone from my old job. Chuck found some bikes. And I found the new living room paint. And a few this and that's.

Apparently I'm going to have a difference of opinion. Earthbound Recycling has been on my radar for months. I live in Central Missouri and have been unable to make it during Earthbound's hours until today though. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the difference this company makes daily and annually. It exceeded our understanding and expectations. We were also very pleased with the employee that met us upon our arrival. I wish I would have gotten his name. He was very helpful! That's where our good review ends though. We were standing in line ready to check out. We had picked up a few cans of free paint and were purchasing stir sticks and paint brushes. The customer in front of us had a small balance ($3.28) she paid with $20.30. Long story short, the employee (Craig) tried to give her change for just the $20.00 instead of the $20.30. He seriously struggled to realize that he had to give her $17.02. He fumbled with the desktop calculator a few times each time getting the change wrong yet again. That alone wouldn't have upset me as, unfortunately, most people aren't taught how to count change anymore. But, and this is a big but, he started getting rude with her because she was telling him how much the change should be. I said something and he got nasty with me and then advised that she's a regular customer. Basically he said he could catch attitude with her because she's used to him and vice versa. I said it was a bad representation for the company since we were first time customers. At this point he told us to leave and basically walked us out telling us how wrong we were to stand up for her. (I echoed the $17.02 and suggested he figure the total again.) Voices were raised and the owner, Bob, came out to see what was going on. The wonderful employee, again I wish I had his name, apologized to us several times. Bob, unfortunately, didn't seem that concerned with Craig's behavior however. He did say he would address it so it could be a misreading on my part but he really did not seem upset that Craig had given such bad customer service. It seems like a great company with great intentions but I will never hand money over to Craig and since it seems he's the only option, we won't be returning. (Not that it matters since we're out here once every three months but we were trying to support a good cause and a small local business.) I'm so glad the rest of you are happy with Earthbound Recycling. I hope you never have to encounter the customer service we witnessed and became part of today.

They have a good crew. James and Mike have been there a long time now and have always been helpful. Bob the owner is a great guy too.

They are always so nice. I've found fantastic deals at the resale shop. Free paint is awesome if I want to test something out before buying it. Lastly, they are the only place that accepts plastic/glass recycling in my area. It's only $2 per garbage bag which is more than worth it to me.

Always find great deals on rejected electronics or take yours there to get rid of! If you need a CRT television or computer monitor for Retro Gaming, they are often FREE! They only get 4 stars because their place is quite dusty. Prepare to get your hands dirty! Great staff.

Just a great place that makes sense. An example of how places like this should operate. It would be nice to see one of these for every community. It extends to the staff as well, they take their responsibilities and contributions seriously, and they seem to derive joy from the fact that they're doing their part. Some stuff is even free. But that doesn't mean you can steal from them, and apparently it's a problem. So people need to stop hurting people who are actually trying to help.

I have used their services as I believe in what they are doing to help the planet but that has come to an end. My daughter went there for an interview and was told she did not look normal enough. Please explain to me what does normal look like and who is this man to judge my daughter. As you guessed my daughter has tattoos and piercings but she showed up for the interview in dress slacks and a blouse. She is currently employed as an assistant manager, which is the position she was being interviewed for at Earthbound. The interviewer told her she looked trashy and that it is acceptable for a man to have tattoos on their arms but not a woman. I call this discrimination against woman and those who have tattoos. The man never even interviewed her, so he judged her based on only her appearance and not her abilities. The adage to not judge a book by its cover still applies today. The man was rude, hurtful and judgemental. He should not be in a position to work with people.

The best prices in the St. Louis metro area. They're a bit far out but the low taxes they pay comes back as savings in your pocket. They are really nice country folks. I brought in just a little bit of scrap and walked out with $15 I was shocked they give so much compared to the other St. Louis recyclers.

Good experience. We recycled a dehumidifier (they paid us $1.80 for the refrigerant!), two vacuums, a steam mop, and some ink & toner cartridges. Can't go wrong when saving the planet and getting paid for it. Will use Earthbound in the Future!
