Don’t waste your time with these guy. I’ve called 3 days in a row trying to get a fender that they have that would color match my jeep. Each day they come up with an excuse of why they can’t go check to see if it’s good. Seriously just call some place else.
The people are rude came in once they were really helpful, second time we came they wouldn’t even look up the area of a car for us. After searching for 2 hours we finally found the car we’re looking for then they kick us out before we can even get the are stuff
I just called today and I'm not a paint expert but if a person calls and is willing to make a trip to get parts and not just a part , you should be willing to have the paint code of a vehicle in the books , which only takes a picture. Well there just went alot of money for a simple answer. Do buisness better , we know your salvage but supply and demand is so much better when you have your ducks in a row
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Every time I call they say it's muddy and they won't let anyone in the yard and they won't go in until it's not muddy. They might as well not be open.
I ordered parts on Monday And Provided credit card information. 8 days later 2 phone calls still no parts. Called this morning was told they were too busy I probably should get my part elsewher. Now my customer is upset thanks guys.
Love going here to get parts for my lovely Toyota Corolla. I didnt have a strong enough tool and 1 of the guys in the back went out of there way for me and helped me out and that guy deserves a raise. And he also took gas out of his own vehicle and time to help me try to find some hubcaps at the junkyard. I couldn't tell him thank you for going out of your way enough times.
Unless you are a commercial account or buying something expensive you won’t get much help here. Was told they were to busy to help me look for my jeep parts, then proceeded to send my disabled rear out in the mud pit that is “the yard”. I nearly fell several times and was stuck for a while as well. My fault for trying I suppose but still the poor demeanor and dismissive attitude of these people make me wish I wasn’t disabled. They need slapped a lot and I would have if I had seen someone in my situation being treated like that.
I was referred to Reeds by a friend; I was in search for a motor replacement on a car of mine. Since my first call to Reeds I've become a frequent, loyal & trusting patron.
NO ONE has beat their honest economy prices! And no salvage yard I've called &/or used has removed the parts for me. FOR FREE. EVER.

Being a female, a lady might be treated as such calling a yard or store regarding parts. Not here. Either on the phone or in person to pick up my requested parts (because they remove my parts AT NO CHARGE ❤), I'm treated just like one of the fellas.

Oh! Another great plus (+) I almost forgot to mention . . . all my purchases from Reeds have been of great quality - NO COMPLAINTS!!
Currently my travel time to Reeds is on average 30 minutes. With gas prices as high as they are I've been looked at half cross eyed by friends & family for driving this far. Not buying new or using a yard closer to home (we have many in or near my hometown) is thought absurd. It simply takes me boasting proudly & aloud my price with Reeds verses the price at the local yards & the new prices at the local part stores to shhhh them up! Ha!!! And to seal the deal I add . . . 'annnnd they take the part off for me. FOR FREE!!!' 😁

TRIPLE CHECK WHAT TIME THEY CLOSE! Called looking for a specific part for a truck that I'm working on and they said that they had the part available. Told me that they closed at 5pm so I drove from O'Fallon 2 hours away for them to tell me that they actually close at 430. I have not been there yet but I assume Chuck's Auto Salvage has better customer service. (MIND YOU THAT I ONLY NEEDED A HOOD AND 4 BOLTS AND 7 MINUTES I WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF THERE)
Bought a complete motor top to bottom for a 2001 f150 supercrew 4x4 with the 5.7 triton for $500 and a small core charge. Sorry don't remember the exact core charge. Called them up on a monday they said they could have it out by Friday. Showed up Friday and there it was. Got it back to the shop guy put it in and started right up. Been running strong, bought it at the beginning of the summer. Thanks Reed's I appreciate the good quality parts at reasonable price's. I Will and looking forward to doing business with y'all again in the future .
So we called the day before and they said they had 4 then got there and they said they had one and then after they not really wanting to get the stuff off the vehicle (i know they don't normal but she is pregnant and the other lady was a older lady) so they told us to come back in a hour and a half. came back they still had not went and looked then after looking nothing there. I gave 2 starts mostly for the guy that actually went and looked and apologized for not having it he was kind and respectful to a car full of women and children. So moral of the story be prepared to get the stuff your self if you are a women or have a gentleman come with you if possible
They were very fair in their pricing and easy to deal with. They were friendly and honest about the parts condition. If I had to think up one complaint I'd say they could be a little more communicative but that could also be my fault. I highly recommend this yard! Thanks guys!
Large inventory of a wide variety of salvage vehicles, great guys who know the place well, was able to find exactly what I needed in great shape and priced well. My beloved truck and I are grateful.
THEY WILL ALWAYS CHARGE YOU MORE MONEY THAN WHAT THE WEBSITE PRICES SAY!! You ask them about it and they don’t care. They have done it for yrs. Mike Reed is rude and doesn’t care about customers that work hard for their money because he just scams them for almost double. I’ve been going there for 20 years and I won’t be back! I’m also contacting the FTC and the Better Business Bureau. So hopefully it helps future customers that aren’t aware of this place.
Love these guys! I read through the comments and there are a lot of whiners.... Never had a bad experience. Long time repeat customer. I will keep coming back. They treat you like you treat them. Nothing is sugar coated. Bring a thick skin, a crude sense if humor, gloves, boots, tools and cash. It is truly an old school no BS operation.
Had what I needed. Reasonable price. Scotty was awesome and super nice. Took my part off and put the new ones on for me. Thank you Scotty.

I wouldnt give them one star but i had to so i could leave a comment call for a part i had to pay first for them to look they said they had it 3 days go by called they said it was to muddy to get part he said he would get it the next day called the next day still didnt have it off called a week later and still didnt have it off said he was gona get to it 3 days later called back and he said he didnt have on it was gone in the mean time i could have ordered one and her car has been sitting cause we were waiting on that part and he so he said he was getting the same vehicle in later that day it was a year newer but the part will still work so waited 3 days and called today and he said they sold the whole car and 2 weeks waiting could have ordered it and they couldn't even call me to tell me a**holes
I have to say that the Crew at Reed's are professional and courtious. The part that I needed was right there and the Price was$50 less than another local Yard. I won't mention the name but I will continue to deal with Reed's from now on.

To be honest every employee I've dealt with there, with the exception of one instance, has proven to be rude and/or dishonest. Like any other impound lot or salvage yard, these guys have the typical "we couldn't care less whether or not you but from us just quit wasting our time" attitude. Also, being the ever so unscrupulous opportunists, if they're keep it?m, you've driven some miles to sell scrap metal they'll low-ball under the going rates because what choice do you have.
Very bad people skills. RUDE. Was there 3x and still didn't have part for me and they knew I came over 100 miles one way. I was going to get parts for 3 different vehicles. They lost our business.
Really helpful employees. I have been bringing recyclables here to keep them out of the trash. Very helpful in sorting some of my aluminum and pointed out a few things I could strip out to get more money. Really appreciate the help.
They're slow as hell. The one gentleman is rude as hell. Waited 15-20 minutes before he finally got off The phone to help me. Then the part I had to pick up for someone else was the wrong part
They have what they say they have. Since your pulling your own parts off I wouldn't come after or during rain unless you have to. Red mud will get everywhere.
I asked about a bracket for a 6.5 turbo diesel starter and guy says you'll just have to come look. Then I said "well I guess you have 6.5 turbo diesels then?" With our missing a beat he said "oh probably not" he was going to have me drive all the way out there for a part he don't even have wile knowing he doesn't have it
Worst customer service experience ever. Called asking about purchasing a part from them and when asked if they could check the mileage of the vehicle since it is for a transmission they seemed like it was a inconvenience for them to check and asked for me to call back tomorrow I was at least expecting them to take my name and number down and call me back when they got the chance. When I explained that it was poor customer service to have the customer call back when it was more convenient for them I was told to never call back again. I will never do business with them again.
I was told on a Friday that they would come pick up my vehicle but they would call first. Come Monday, still no word from them, I come home at 3PM and my vehicle is gone. No note, no call, nothing. When I called trying to find out if they took it, the man on the phone acted defensive and abrasive. They did not honor the original price stated. I understand metal prices change but they had given a firm price and changed it last minute. I feel they were dishonest and deceptive. I will not be referring them to anyone.
