I have been selling semi loads of our NF from a smaller yard about 4 hours away. Lyle and Brad have been great and easy to work with, if there is a small problem with the way I or they have graded something they bring it to my attention before they settle the ticket, and we always come to a mutual understanding. They pay quickly even though I have never been to their facility and are easy to do business with. Their prices are fair, like anything else I could get a penny or two more out of some items at other yards but overall, my total load price is more. With the relationship I have built I find it hard to chase and turn many other companies down.

Traffic at the plant was low. It picks up during the warmer weather. They accept desktop and server computers. A limited Saturday drop off time are available call them to ensure they are not closed for the holidays. The staff are very helpful. This location has heavy machinery moving about, please do not bring persons (child and adults) who require constant monitoring. They may get hurt or injured. The traffic patterns are defined with street signs. Please read and observe.

Shout out to Danielle at the scale window and Heather in customer service for low pricing my 1700lb piece of iron at 2 cents/lb. and ignoring my concerns for over 10 days now. This quiet time allowed me to find and take a matching piece to Wrecking Crew Salvage in Winfield, MO. WCS paid 6.5 cents/lb. a $75 difference! Wrecking Crew also provides a pick up service for large items using their rollback tow trucks. Wrecking Crew Salvage has picked up a 9000lb broken Grain truck, a 12000 lb Backhoe, and a 3000lb soybean planter all paying 6 cents/lb. while I got to stand by and drink a frosty beverage. WCS also picked up a 1994 dodge pickup ( not running) that paid $400. If in Lincoln county, or a neighboring county you might consider calling Wrecking Crew. Response from Owner was honorable in protecting his employees, but lacked substance as I have been a customer for decades and brought many pieces of large product including scrap cars full of plastic, rubber and glass and still received full sheet pricing without required extra processing (..from one of the areas largest scrap company). Very disappointed..

I have been going to Didion Orf for over a decade. They have always taken good care of me and even taught me ways to get more out of my scrap. Knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to coming in for many decades to come.

Truckers, especially Independents Owner Operators, If you ever to pick up load of scraped aluminum cans here just FYI, they do leak and smell horible!!! I had my food grade trailer messtup and I wasn't be anle to pick up a decent load because of it. When I asked loader if it is dry he assured me that those cans have been dry for sure and shouldn't leak. YOU ARE WARRNED!

Just take your best guess on where to check in or navigate through this place...all kinds of signs pointing this way, that way or turn here, don't turn there...totally unorganized and confusing.

We've sold large amounts of copper and the weights and prices were always what we'd agreed on. Very cooperative people and good to deal with.

Cheated me on a load of around 900 lbs of gutters. Gave me an extra 5 cents a pound when I complained... I called ahead of time and asked what they were willing to pay for tear off aluminum gutters and then after I got there and unloaded they shorted me almost 18-20 cents per pound. Then when I complained they gave me an extra 5 cents per pound. That's called stealing.

I pre-weight my scrap so I can compare their weight to mine. With one exception, we are in a pound of each other favoring them or me. One time they were off 15-pounds of bare bright favoring them. When I challenged the discretion, they didn't argue and paid the difference. I appreciated that but makes me wonder about the guys weighting scrap. Skimming off the top from 100+ pound seller's? I do a lot of machine and electric work so I usually use five-gallon plastic buckets and unfortunately Didion places a 2lb tare weight on a bucket that really only weighs 12ozs. My buckets usually have 120lbs ~ when I bring them in, so don't use a bucket for light scrap. Response to Didion: the place is busy, your guys start weighing while I am unloading. They never physically do a tare weight on buckets, just charge 2lbs a bucket for them and everyone's buckets, boxes, or containers usually end up in a pile outside the door for the seller to sort through...

I have been going to Didion Orf for over 15 years and was in there Friday and someone threw away brand new water troughs for animals. I carried one to the side of my trailer and walked over to the person operating the magnet and asked if I could purchase this like I have done in the past with no problem and he said he done called and TOLD that I got it and said "You cant take that ,I already called" WOW, acted like he was a police officer and had a attitude. It just goes to show me that if you stay true and loyal to a certain business instead of going to a place closer that even gives more money for your scrap ,that they may look out for their customers. I even offered more money for the water trough and was told no and the dude jumped on a machine and straight smiled at me as he smashed them in front of my face. I can understand not letting people go up on the scrap piles and digging stuff out, but there was 15 brand new tanks 4' from my trailer. I still cant believe that people would treat a customer like that for real but ,if I dont like it there is always some where else to sell my things to. I never have seen anywhere that no items can be sold after bought for scrap. heck I see items on the online store of Didion that is reselling items that was sold as scrap. Great pricing, quick in and out and they bought everything I had. Usually can't find anyone to take E-scrap but they did. Guys in the collection area were very friendly to deal with as well. I scrapped all Over the US last year almost every week and this place was the best so far from my phone call to ask pricing to getting paid.

Very efficient place. While it did take me a minute to figure out where I was supposed to drop off my recyclables, I was in and out very quickly. (For those who don't know, you can drop off your recyclables at the second building on the right. There is a sign that says 'Public Drop-Off.' All you have to do is pull up into any of the four lanes there and the staff will pretty much handle the rest.)The staff was friendly and nice and getting cash for my aluminum cans was a huge plus.

Be cautious. Brought in some odds and ends. In my prior life I managed multiple scrap yards. The place was pretty chaotic. I was just taking in stuff to clear out junk. Did not know it until I left but my computer motherboards were graded as power boards. If you are familiar with electronics you will understand that they would not be confused. I do not understand why the employee would take liberties with grading scrap.

Didion's takes care of their establishment & their customers. I'm in & out quickly with the help of their crew. They are all such gentleman!! I have learned so much from them. Very polite & helpful!! Great customer service & consistency. Best prices for your scrap out of everyone.

STAY AWAY!! Another business trying to make money through confusion and intimidation instead of equitable quality product and service. Lights don’t work at scale so you’re waiting on one hurried clerk to wave you forward while she hands money out to other customers. Creates confusion. I didn’t stay on the scale long enough I was told. I stopped while an employee checked my load and told me where to unload my scrap. Went back to the scale to collect money and first they told me they didn’t get my weight because they were busy and I was “supposed to wait for a thumbs up.” Guidance of any kind isn’t given, posted or otherwise. Then they told me I wasn’t even close to 300 pounds (their minimum.) After weighing my load independently prior to arrival AND according to their scales, I was at 320 pounds. THEN they said they would help me out by giving me $85.00 / ton. After I disputed getting $85.00 / ton for a cast iron bathtub they finally decided to give me their “Mixed Iron” price of $100 / ton. Prices fluctuate but this seems low. Multiple lanes and bins all over the place with employees zigzagging everywhere. When you ask one of them for directions you’re likely to get a incorrect or condescending response. I’m assuming because I don’t know Didion Orfs site traffic pattern or material piles that as far as I can tell are not posted readily. They didn’t pay me what they should and had to argue with two different people and wait just to get that amount. This they earned this negative review.

Pro: They pay better than some and the people are really nice. Usually in and out. They do get busy though. Con: The nails all over the ground. Have had several flat tires from here.

I was there yesterday and found the workers helpful and very nice . I told them I had more and liked there hours of convenience. They gave me a price list to save me money. Since when I mentioned bringing a TV there and they told me that have to pay them. The only thing was I had never been there before and had to call them after getting there not knowing where to go and what to do. Might need to have. instructions on web site for first time users at site.
