Been there many times. Good folks to deal with. Processing junk metal is a dirty and dangerous job. The guys that unload and weigh your stuff might look / sound a little crude and rough, but they are typically courteous and always make sure YOU are kept safe!
Rude and shady people from the guy inside to the employees outside! Give BOTTOM dollar and cheat you on weight (hints why weight readout is never on) don't bother with common courtesy and/or decency, they have zero! Jus gave me $0.15 a pound for cat6 wire. Been all over the country and never got less that $0.80 a pound. NEVER will i do buisness at this joke of an establishment again! I'll drive all the way to Fayette,MO. Scrap yard or Higbee, MO. Salvage... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!
I just got of the phone with this company. I was told that his business is more important than it's customers!! What a wonderful place. I was just calling to make sure they was open!! And to be disrespect like that!! Wow way to go that is a hell of a way to stay in business!!
Shows all the questions but no answers on this site ,y? Plus just cuz my daughter turned n some wire from my son n law that works for a cable company , fusselmans call the cops to turn her in. Thank god my son n law was around to clear things up! This was ridiculous but we hav still given them another chance mostly cuz the other scrap places have closed
Most of the time they are rude, but seem to be fair on prices. Skimming on the scale weight has been suspected but with no real proof who is to say. Convenient and pays in cash under $100.
I buy all my metal for metal art and other projects at Fusselman's - have done for years. I mainly buy stainless steel and aluminum for outdoor art projects. I buy 3/16 and 1/4 steel plate from time to time. The staff in the yard are always helpful, particularly moving and loading heavy stuff with their forklift. The office staff (owner) is a pleasure to deal with.
These people are absolutely RUDE. They didnt explain anything to us. When i called for help when at the dump site I was told "the guy on the ctane you need his attention" and was hung up on. We sat forever and ended up giving up after spending half the day trying to do deal with this. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE.
I have done business with Fusselman Salvage for years. They are a great place to take metal you wish to recycle, or used car batteries. I have never had an issue with them.
