Called them to get a quote and they just took it upon themselves to go get the car. Cops told us since we called them that it was now a civil issue. If you call these guys for a quote do yourself a favor and don’t tell them exactly where the car is until you plan to hire them. Plenty of other honest towing companies around though. I would avoid these guys

Just found out that affordable towing sold my contract without my approval and without permission from me.
The car went back yesterday because it wasn’t a good car put over 1,500 in the car since getting it last Aug 2022. They said when we bought it had a new motor and transmission that was a lie. Would have been better if they didn’t do people dirty. Will be filing several complaints with the attorney general and FTC and BBB. Now we are stuck with paying a car loan on a car we don’t have. The tow truck driver tore up our yard nice girl’s in the office they do try their best for people.
MO Attorney General hasn’t had a response from both companies that tried to scam me. They sold the car for more than what was in the contract and they took off with the balance that they owe me. So now may have to go after them in small claims court.
Do NOT and I repeat Do NOT use this company. I have literally waited over 2 hours and each time my roadside service provider calls them, we are told it will be another 30 to 45 minutes. I asked for their service call to be canceled because their customer service sucks! I am being towed less than 10 miles and they were literally getting paid for a minimal job! Never again. Lesson learned! A tire that was nearly flat is why I couldn’t drive on it.
If I could give a 0 I definitely would!! The tow truck driver was VERY inexperienced, yes he is a new driver but for what happened he should have called someone else to come help him!
He put my husband's car on the L arm of the tow truck instead of putting it on the flat bed, biggest mistake ever! Our driveway has a dip in it when pulling out and he high centered our car which ended up breaking the tow strap in half and dropped our car and pulled it several feet down the driveway!! He then had the nerve to ask my husband if he was mad and my husband couldn't even say anything because of how shocked he was. The driver then proceeded to BACK UP out of on coming traffic with our car at a 45 degree tilt, whole passenger side was completely off the ground.. he then hooks up to winch it up the flat bed and the hook rips off the underside! Absolutely WORST experience ever!!! Next time I will call someone else and send receipt to my insurance. Don't waist your time with this company!!
Alan was awsome, he stayed in contact several times informing me of his progress to get to me. He called once the tow was set up to let me know he had 1 in front of me, called when there was a delay with that truck, then messaged me to let me know he was on his way. Very knowledgeable and easy going.
We had the pleasure of dealing with Chuck, Mike and Carroll. These guys were amazing from the time they arrived to the delivery of the vehicle. They went beyond what their job called for to help make sure the job was completed correctly. Chuck stuck through the insurance transfer when he could have left. I'm so happy we were able to deal with such an awesome guy who did this job with no complaints and sincerely wanted to help the situation. Chuck and Mike found a solution to the problem and with Carroll's help, all went smoothly. 100 stars guys. Way to go!!!
The only good thing about my experience was the cool tow truck driver. Everything else I experienced from this company was hands down the worst I have ever experienced from a towing company. I called them at 2pm and they gave me an ETA of 3:30 pm BUT then showed up at 6:30pm. This is because they kept on accepting other towing jobs to take on and kept putting me on the back burner. This company did all of this without keeping me in the loop and without telling me what was going on. I had to call the number they gave me to call just to find out it was a disconnected number that is no longer in service, so i called their head office instead. when doing so, the first lady hung up on me and the second lady told me "Sorry we just got busy" After the guy was already apparently on his way. (This happened 3 times over and each time the ETA grew by 90 minutes). This company did not treat me as a priority as they claimed they would and did not work with integrity when it came to helping me get to where i needed to go, which was only a mile away. This Company is in no way affordable if you value your time . I highly suggest everyone to look elsewhere if you do value your time.
The alternator went out in my 2012 Journey and the entire electrical system was dead. Couldn’t roll the windows up. Couldn’t secure the doors. Couldn’t even put it in gear to move it.

Ladies these people are there for you. I was broke down on 65 I walked to a nearby gas station which told me they where closing and I would have to wait outside. It's 10:30 pm and they turned off all the lights outside while they clean up inside. So i sat in the dark trying to find a tow. I called 2 other tow company's that when to busy to help me. But then I called Affordable Tow. I explain what was going on. The lady on the phone said don't worry I've got you girl. I was so happy to here those words. She had a truck there in 15 minutes to pick me up at the gas station and take me to my truck. The driver Jonathan K. was very nice and professional. Had my truck loaded and me safe at home in no time. THANKS AFFORDABLE TOW for looking out for us ladies it's nice to know that someone cares.

Our 1961 Shasta had the wheel fall off on rt 44 late on a Friday afternoon. I called half a dozen emergency tow services and they all said they couldn't tow our trailer, but recommended Affordable in Springfield.
Affordable said they would send a Roll-up right away. Jonathan called soon after and said he was returning from another tow and was in the area. He came quickly and repaired the wheel enough so as but to damage the trailer while it was being pulled up on the flat bed. He towed it back to Springfield to a repair facility.
I highly recommend this company and their driver Jonathan.

Update 11/11/22: Still 5 stars! Have continued to use them repeatedly and they consistently have the best pricing, customer service, and all around friendly.
I have used them many times over the years and in fact am getting ready to call again since the ice and my car didn't agree lol.
I saw there is a lot of negative reviews and was shocked as aside from one time they have always given great service. The one time I had an issue was they lost my ticket or whatever they use and never came to pick me up, but whoever I spoke to was kind and dispatched someone asap to make up for the delay.
They are always kind and helpful and have picked up my clunker off the side of the road many times.
What a company!! We had a very complicated circumstance that required "out of the box" thinking and Dennis and his team really came through for us. If you are looking for integrity and professionalism, look no further. Thanks again.
My son hit a dear 280 miles from home. Alan was willing to drive two hours to pick up the car and 5 hours to bring it back home so we could get it repaired locally. Alan called when he was on his way to pick up the car. He just wanted to let us know he was going to pick it up which was very nice to communicate. He wanted the phone number of the salvage yard to make sure he wasn’t going to have any issues which was great that he was thinking ahead. Once he got the car picked up he wanted to have the phone number of the body shop to make sure he could drop it in their preferred location and make sure they had a key drop box in case they left for the day. I called him to make sure everything was in good order and he was very pleasant to talk with and reassuring he had everything under control. Once he dropped off the car he text me a picture of the car sitting in the parking lot. It’s wonderful to have a towing company so interested in satisfying the customer. I would absolutely use Affordable Towing and ask for Alan.
We needed a tow Sunday around 5 PM and through insurance were hooked up with affordable towing and ALAN. It took a little bit of time, almost an hour, but I wasn’t surprised. ALAN got there and he was very friendly and communicative, he made sure to load the truck safely, he took it to my mechanic and even sent me a picture showing the after hours envelope that he had filled out. Honestly he did everything I expected and did it well.
Worst experience with a towing company. Called for a tow was placed on hold then hung up on.After calling them back the man was very unprofessional when I asked how much was tow in town he stated $70. I asked if rates had gone up he told me duh because price of gas.
When driver Brian showed up he literally almost hit me while I was standing on corner to flag him.
He never stopped to greet or confirm vehicle for pick up. He immediately tried to squeeze bye the vehicle hitting the side of it and damaging a fence.
I could have informed him that he could have came from other side to avoid this accident from happening.
I called back to office to let them know what happened was hung up on again. Had to call police have them come out. Driver Brian admitted to hitting fence said I was lying about my car being hit. Very unprofessional and rude.

They were able to get me in right away and we're very polite. The driver of the tow truck was communicative, well mannered, and patient. I was coming from a different town and ran a little behind and he was very understanding. The driver handled my car with care and delivered it quickly an hour away to a mechanic. Will definitely use them if I ever need a tow again. Also you can't beat their rates!
My tire got slit by dysfunctional neighbor. It was wedged on from incident. The company sent this young man out who turned a very upsetting experience positive. He was amazing. Beyond pleasant to be around & changed my tire in a few minutes. Thank ya'll for the very positive & friendly experience HIGHLY recommended!! Wish I could give a 10* rating. God bless ya'll!!!
My car was stolen and Mike Phillips was the tow truck that showed up to the location it was left and did everything he could to get it out. He was able to get it out of the massive mud rut that it was left in.
I was in a car accident with my son and we required a tow. I wasn’t sure who to call and I said Affordable because we had used them one time before with no issues. Apparently, if the police dispatch a call for the tow Affordable charges you a fee but fails to tell you that. I wish that was this extent of our issues. When our car was being pulled onto the flatbet we heard a loud snap and they got back under the vehicle and hooked it back up. At the time we didn’t think there was an issue we trusted they knew what they were doing and if there was an issue it would have been addressed. We were undecided on a body shop to have our car towed to so we requested it be taken to our house, exactly 5.9 miles away. We were charged $167. For 5.9 miles. We weren’t told about the additional fee for the police dispatching them out until our vehicle was on our property. To add insult to injury when our car was picked up by another tow company they refused to touch it because Affordable had busted my exhaust hanger...the snap we heard. I attempted to contact affordable about the situation and they make it very clear and give you the run around regarding availability of people who can handle the situation. I emailed pictures of the damage and was told I would hear back from the manager. Christie emailed me blaming the accident and the age of my vehicle as the reason for the damage. All of the damage to my vehicle from the accident was isolated to the front passenger fender the damage they caused was on the back end where they hook up the chains to tow my vehicle. She had no clue what she was talking about she stated my vehicle was a 1999 Chevy S-10 and I drive a 2017 Ford Escape. Not even remotely close. Christie was EXTREMELY unprofessional to say the least. I asked to speak with Dennis and she tried to avoid that as well. She would not let me speak and when I addressed that she had a problem letting me talk she yelled at me and hung up on me. I’ve since been informed by numerous reputable resources that unfortunately they’re not surprised with my experience with them and actually surprised it’s not worse. I was told the information will be passed along to the owner. Something tells me that won’t happen. 100% guarantee I will make known how Affordable treats their customers and the quality of service they provide.
I get it. We parked in the wrong spot and got towed. $150 to get the vehicle back. Could have been worse. I'm a reasonable person. But, I'm being kind giving 2 stars here.
Communication and, most importantly, personal safety are the areas lacking in our experience. At 7:30 am we were told 9:00 am is the earliest pick up. No problem, we can wait. Got an Uber over there. Called on the way, we were told it would be 1 hour before anyone could meet for us to pick up, and that I needed to pay over the phone right then. Great. Just waiting in the cold rain now. Meanwhile the area is less than desirable. Abandoned buildings, and homeless people, who may have been very kind, but who knows. Finally, nearly an hour later, wandering around and notice an open gate. Walk in there to find a guy sitting in a truck, says he's been sitting there 40 minutes. No contact from the company. I suggested he let the other guy, who's super friendly and has been on his way from Republic to help me out, know that I've retrieved my car. Guy says, "he'll figure it out." Real nice dude.
Wouldn't count on them in an emergency.
STOP!!! Read ALL the reviews on this company before you call. It will save you a lot of FRUSTRATION and TIME! There are FAR BETTER options out there. There are Towing companies that have 4.9 out of 5 Stars. Even if you feel stranded and they claim to be there quick, they left my Fiancé in a left turn lane for 2.5 hours, because they sent a standard tow truck instead of the rollback we requested for the trailer she was pulling. The wait was not worth it. The damage they caused was not worth it. The first truck was sent so we wouldn't call a Reputable company that would have done the job right. Check Case-net for Dennis Cleveland the owner, you will see how many times he has been to small claims court where customers have to sue him to recover damages. You will also see where he has a habit of selling cars before verifying ownership. Check their Facebook page, you will see where they ran over a ladies fence and have not taken responsibility for the damages. Do yourself a HUGE Favor, look at these reviews and check other company's reviews. Any positive reviews for affordable towing are the result of driver's receiving $20 for their name being dropped in a favorable review. You can imagine how many of the 5 star reviews were left by friends and family.
