First- what is this new environmental added charge they now have? Where did it come from and why are the patrons paying to enter and then being charged extra for purchases under this subject? The last 2 times I've been at this place, I've been charged way more than the parts price they advertise, plus the other fee, taxes we expect. The gate fee is now double, but we deal with it. Yes the prices have gone up, and with everything else added, new parts are not that much more of a cost in some cases. I've purchased many parts from this location, and up until this past year hthe prices seemed fair enough. With the raising of prices the addition to the entry fee along with this environmental fee, it's actually not worth the hassel if you have to take the part back. Seems we forget the time spent installing, removing and returning to get another part which may or may not be functional and have to repeat the process again. True in some cases the parts may not be available as OEM parts, and are cheap after markets., but they work. Yes, I enjoy working on my own vehicle, and like to keep it all OEM if at all possible. Still, with installing, Uninstaller returning to pull another part, then reinstalling the part(s), the cost is to close to new to take a chance. No I won't be back at this establishment anymore. I'll buy after market if the need arises. I ask everyone to make their own decision, but ask what the new fee is for. I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with the environment that the patrons should be handed the responsibility of paying. Also in their own code of conduct and operations, they plainly state their recycling procedures. So what are they doing? Getting paid twice for the same thing. All I'm doing is pulling a part, I'm not spilling any fluids because fluids are not supposed to be in the vehicles at the time I'm pulling these parts.

$2 admission fee. They also charge an environmental fee and then a core fee on top of it. Unless they are running a toolkit deal a lot of parts are cheaper on rock auto!

Worthless, they are zero help I would not recommend anyone waste their time. I would give them zero stars if the option was available.

Nasty mess not nearly as clean as buddys . Having to pay 2 bucks to go in and look is a joke .pay what ever they want even if it's not what it says on reciept

Cheap admission of 2$, wanted 60$ for a window motor that is 56$ or oreilys brand new….its not worth spend your time to come here. Just buy the stuff from the internet and save yourself the hassle.

Staff is very rude and unhelpful. Didn't have my parts and the guy told me his plans as he denied my services. Go to any other salvage yard and they'll pull it.

I drove a little over 4 hours one way to get a hood for a 2014 Ford Focus Titanium. They showed 2 red cars one was 2014 & the other one was a 2013 both had the hood in the color I needed. I called up there and asked if both cars were still there. I told the guy I was coming from Little Rock, Ar. and I was told he didn't have anyway of telling me if they were there I asked him to go if he would go out and check and he wouldn't. So I drove up there and they ask what car and part I was looking for they printed out a list of 10 cars and the row they were on but they only had 2 cars and they didn't have hoods. And they still show 20 cars on the website with the 2 I needed to get a hood off of. They have poor customer service I wouldn't go there if I was you.

This place doesn’t know what they have on the lot. You look with an incorrect list pay to get in and don’t have what you need.

Went to look for a motor had 4 people with me and had to pay an entry fee. Not a big deal but I told them I needed a standard and every car they printed (15) were automatic. This place has poor service and they don't know what they even have! Went on a 2 hour drive here for nothing.

Paid to get in just to be lied to, needed a standard transmission and checked more than 10 vehicles that in fact did not have standard transmissions that they said were standard transmissions

I drove from Lake of the Ozarks to Springfield just to check out the inventory and arrived at 5:32 p.m. According to their schedule, they close at 6:00 a.m. I wasn't buying parts; I just wanted to see if they had what I needed so i could pull them the next day on my way back. On June 3rd, at 5:32 p.m., the no good for nothing guy working the counter wouldn't let me in to look because, according to them, their yard closes at 5:30 p.m. and there hours say they close at 6 pm. What a wasted trip to a place where I've spent a fortune! Yes, they lost my business.

I picked up a lady friend and pulled her into my truck there.. Turns out that she was not on the menu. Got that straightened out with the police and left with a new headlight switch. Great place just not for picking up chicks!

Very informative and quick in and out. Found everything I needed with their help

Do not sell your car to them, they will scam you if they can. They have a misleading questions on their form that lower how much they'll pay you, and even if you fill it out again they won't pay you properly. Their drivers also tell you that you have to keep your plates on which is not legal. Found that one out too late.

The one star is not a refection of the people that work here, I've always got along with the staff. Unfortunately I can no longer afford to shop here and the $2 admission fee adds up especially when I can never find what I need. Buying new will save you time and cost roughly the same.

Rude employees not a wide selection if the employee doesn't know what it is they just charge you for something more expensive my $1.50 grounding block just cost me $7.50 for a small headlight switch. You go pick n pull. You notice when you give a review nobody writes back cause they know it's all true and they choose to do nothing about it

Tried coming here to see about a engine. Walked in an was ignored and even passed over by a guy that walked in behind me. Would definitely find another salvage yard to find parts.. H &W is across the street. I've gotten good parts from them in the past

workers are super rude to the women that walk in. it’s very discouraging because some of us girls don’t have a man in our life to help, so we do things ourself. i’m grown adult but i was continuously chastised about being 16. and then the guy was rude about needed to have tools. i told him i’d never been there before so i didn’t know what to expect. i got my part without a tool anyways. i probably won’t be coming back because i felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. my stepdad was my mechanic, he passed away earlier this year. it was nice to do something like this for myself but it’s unfortunate i was treated the way i was.

Went to Springfield location to buy a tire for my wife because belts are showing. They only had one tire my size and as I went up to the counter I noticed it had a nail through it so I asked about getting a discount on the tire. The kid goes asks his boss then comes back out and tells me it would be 35$ dollars which is what they now charge instead of the 20 they have charged for the last several years. I thought they were joking with me so I asked are you serious and they said yes. Mind you I have bought many tires from them over the past several years. They lost my business just now and all my friends will now not be going there as well. Bad business decision in my book. Not only are you not trying to help your customer they are trying to sale a tire with a nail in it at the same price as one without a nail in it. Maybe I’m crazy but to me that is ludicrous to say the least

I will NEVER go back!! After getting 3 different starters for my car none of them work. They are more concerned with keeping your money than keeping a happy customer. I used the last bit of money I had to get this part and made 2 extra trips (45 miles one way) to get one that works but it still does not start my car. I have wasted an entire day dealing with these crooks. The day they go out of business will be the start of my biggest party ever

Good deal. Guy was helpful. Awesome employee. But bulk buyers come in and buy them out crazy quick, ship stuff to foreign countries. I mean in an hour of them getting parts, that quickly. I understand it's a business to make money, but they enable draining the local used items away from US citizens and shipping it to foreigners, which isn't cool. There's no shortage of locals that need the items. They aren't the only junkyard that does this. It's the reason you can't find the used part for your 10-year-old Chevy for example. This is a poverty stricken area because all our jobs went overseas, and now all of our used junk which is all many of us can afford is going there too, all so some CEO can make $11,000 an hour and whine it's not enough.

Cheap, quality parts. It’s an adventure when you visit the yard. It is a salvage yard and it does have its obstacles so please be cautious and watch where you step. Be sure to research your part and bring the appropriate tools so you don’t have to lug a huge tote and be sure to bring water and stay hydrated. The staff are up to date on the inventory but, you sometimes catch an item that hasn’t been updated. Good luck and I think your at the right place for good used auto parts and tires. Remember this is a pull it yourself yard or I believe they pull it for a fee. I think your experience begins with your research before you hit the yard. If your prepared and have done your due diligence,I believe your experience will be one that you will benefit from.

First off wear your mask. You well get chastised by front desk gal if you don't.I didn't recall seeing sign on outside to wear mask but a soon as entering you are treated like a child for not having it on.One person already in didn't have his on either until she made a fuss For goodness sakes its a salvage yard. Anyway large selection of picked over junk. Nothing to really jump up and down for. Prices are high. Can buy some stuff new cheaper than used. Cost a dollar to enter and look around. I have been to better places and some a whole lot worse.
