WALMART DID NEARLY $1600 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. In early December 2024, I got all 4 tires replaced. A few days ago, 3/13/25, my car started swaying on the highway. My back right tire was wobbling. If I hadn't have pulled over my car would have flipped. We pulled over to check it out. When we pulled the hubcap off, 2 of the lugnuts came out with it, destroyed along with the holes they came out of. The rest of the lugnuts were barely finger tight. They had cross-threaded them. After getting my car towed to a shop, they checked out all my tires and NONE of them were properly torqued. I have been trying to talk to the manager at the auto shop about this since Friday – he keeps promising to call back then leaving for the day without a word. The excuses I've heard so far are "it's past your 90 day warranty" (it's not about the warranty, the rubber's just fine, it's about how you installed the tires back on) "We have a triple-check torque check" (they would have seemed torqued if they were cross-threaded) and "it's been 3 months so something else could have happened" (3 months is the perfect amount of time for my lugnuts to gradually loosen & I'm a VERY safe driver).
I have to get whole parts of my vehicle replaced because of their work, including the tire hub. DO NOT GO HERE.
UPDATE 5/8/2025
For nearly two months, this auto shop and their manager Mike Truitt in particular has done everything they can to avoid me. They did not take any of my proof of their mistakes when handing my case over to their insurance department. All they've told me is "it's up to insurance, we have nothing to do with it" but their insurance department says they can only make decisions based off of the information the shop gives them. The info that was given to them was a video of them tightening my lugnuts (completely redundant since they were cross-threaded) and a report that says that my odometer was at 111,111 in December – clearly a placeholder number – and with my odometer at 161,000 in March, it would have meant I drove 50,000 miles in THREE MONTHS. I've been endlessly trying to get back on contact with Mike about this, and he has done everything he can to avoid me. I went up to the shop in person about a month ago and gave him my email address and told him to give me a way to provide the proof from my end, including video and picture evidence taken by another shop. He promised to contact me, again, and I got no response, again. Walmart's shop has not contacted me EVEN ONE TIME during this whole fiasco; I've had to call every single time or go up there in person, and every single time, they tell me they'll contact me back, and they don't. I even mention that to them every time – "you guys never contact me and it's always up to me. Will you actually contact me this time?" They tell me "yes" and then I never hear back. Every. Time.
I guess they're expecting that I'll give up eventually. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Do NOT get car work done here, because if they make a mistake, THERE'S NO FIXING IT OR GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK.
I have always did oil changes here, I come in this morning 4-26-2025 and found out you have to make an appointment as of February 2025. They could have worked me in but 3 to 4 hour wait, only 2 technicians were working.
Forget about what you heard! My main man Josh got me in in a timely manner gave me the best customer service. When I went to pick up my car he told me there would be no charge I tried to tip him and he said that's just part of our service. Assistant manager Michael was very helpful as well great job guys!
I waited for 40 minutes without being helped. I saw 3 or 4 employees walking around the shop during this time, but none of them even bothered to speak to me. I won't be coming back.
Edit: I visited two other Walmarts today; the first one was all booked up and unable to provide service, and the second was able to get me in. Both of those locations sent someone to help me instantly, as soon as I pulled up. I was wondering if I should write off Walmart Auto Centers entirely, but thankfully, it seems to be just this particular location.
This auto center used to be well run. There are a few guys that still do their best but generally the women are hard to deal with and argumentative. Ethel was my check in person. She inevitably always adds extra time and struggle to get anything done. This time she skipped me in line and went out to check others in that were behind me in line including people who were just pulling in. We have a problem with her every time we go so we won't be returning until walmart takes her off checkin. 2 hours and still counting for a tire patch.
Staff here were SUPER friendly and helpful. Mike was awesome and answered every question we had and then some. I got 4 new tires and an oil change and it only took about an hour and a half. Would DEFINITELY recommend- the women at the counter were funny and friendly and so was everyone else.
What they do takes time people- don’t go if you don’t have a few hours to spare.
I will never go here again. Waited in line for 10 minutes while 2 associates helped 1 guy, then when I was finally helped I said I needed an oil change & tire rotation. I was told to go back outside (in 100 degree weather) & wait for the guy who was writing tickets. Waited out there for another 10 minutes, by my car while no cars were in the bay & no employees around at all. I went back inside where now 3 employees were helping 1 customer, I waited for another 8ish minutes, no one as much as spoke to me, so I left.
Never going here again!! Bunch of clowns! Right when I got there they were way disorganized. Also I waited for an hour just to get news that they couldn’t take my car in because of a broken key fob. Shockingly enough, we have taken this car before to this same location with the broken key fob and they were able to fix it. Aaron one of the repair men told me this news in a very rude way and pretty much blew us off. What a disaster. If you want great tires and services I would prefer discount, plaza tire, or any local tire place then this abomination. NEVER AGAIN!
I went to have my oil changed and get new windshield wipers. I waited in the store while this was getting done in the automotive section. I asked multiple times if my car was done because I had received notification that it was. Blade that I said she did not see my keys so it could not be done.. She did not go ask she did not check in the back.. I finally had to call the store manager before she would ask somebody. When I received my receipt I found out that they were done with my car 20 minutes after I was in there. I was waiting for over an hour and a 1/2. I called corporate and was told the store manager would call me back this still has not happened.. Do not use them.
My windshield wiper clip broke and they replaced it for free. They also fixed my passenger side wiper as well. The gentleman that fixed it was down to earth and extremely nice. When I got my income tax refund I went back to them and they did a great job helping me get the best tires for my money. I am very pleased.
I have always had good results when using Walmart Tire Centers. Today was my first time at the Kearney location. I asked them to replace the front two tires. When my car was ready, they began to ring me up for 4 tires. I pointed out the mistake and they said that they had put 4 new tires on the car. They called the person up that checked me in and he said, "I thought you said four new tires." Then someone else came out and said that since they put four new tires they would just charge me for 3. At this point, I had two choices. One, I could let them put two tires back on, but how would I know if they put the right tires back on? 4 tires for the price of 3 is a good deal, but it wasn't what I asked for. In the future, I'll skip this location.
Lady at the counter (Lin I think?), was rude and unprofessional. Pulled up the car and she rudely, borderline yelled “Turn it off” to me, as if I was supposed to know that I was supposed to do that. Would not communicate with me if there was anything I needed to do while she was tapping away on her tablet, while I’m still outside waiting on her to do or say something, as cold as it was outside. As soon as I mention I need to get going because someone’s waiting on me, she said I can’t leave in a condescending tone, as if I were stupid. She couldn’t even be bothered to know how to find the hood release for my car so I had to show her, and she acted like I was the jerk for having to show her. We go to check out, we’re waiting in line, and she lets the person who came in AFTER us go before us. I’m sorry but the sheer amount of ineptitude displayed through a single transaction is astounding. Not sure who trained this person, but obviously customer service and social skills were not part of the process.
I have visited Wal-Mart Tire and Lube Express locations throughout the United States. This one wins the award for slowest service. I don't know why I continue to give them another chance. This morning, there was 1 car ahead of me for oil change, no other cars in the bays, and I was told 1.5 to 2 hours for an oil change. Ridiculous. This is par for the course at this location. On a different visit, they weren't doing oil changes at all because they had too many tires to install for people. Crazy! They just don't try or care.
Waited 3 hours for tires. 4 new tires and only 2 tickets ahead of me a battery change and an oil change. Till 30 minutes just for them to get yes machine to with as well as getting my paperwork done. Ridiculous. When in Colorado the small family owned tire shop changed 4 cars tires so that's 16 tires in 30 minutes. Come on guys plus it's Christmas. #Outrageouswaittimes #poorcustomerservice
Don't go here if you're in any sort of hurry. Seriously, they are so slow it's rediculous. I've waited upwards of three hours before for something as simple as getting a new tire put on. The employees move at snail pace and are woefully understaffed so it's just a terrible combo. There is a TV to watch while you wait half the day but still... just don't go here unless you have no other option.
They had a wait of almost 2 hours to get a tire patched and would not let me make an appointment to come back. Went to the Walmart on Kansas and got in right away.
Very disappointed I knew better than to come here anyways so I guess I got what was coming to me. They have 6 bays to work on vehicles and not a single car on the shop they told me I'd have to wait because they were busy and had 5 vehicles in front of me. After an hour of watching all the "techs" stand around and no other vehicles have been worked on the shop is still empty. they decide to pull my truck in. It has a Manual transmission and after about rolling into the car behind the truck in the parking lot they Rev the engine up to what sounded like 5000rpm they proceed to slip the clutch all the way across the parking lot and into the shop. 2 hours later after watching them lean on my paint they tell me it's done... I go look at it and they drove wheel weights on the outside of my chrome aluminum wheels that now have tools marks around them and the only thing they had to say was "we did the see a note saying to put them on the inside of the wheel..." it is very frustrating to me knowing that they do this to people every day. I will never be back and feel bad for anybody that comes here. A professional shop could have done a perfect job in about 30 minutes
Came up here to get my terminals replaced on my battery. Waited for 2+ hours and then they said the vehicle is ready and didn’t even do the terminals. What a waste of time. Asked how long does it take them to do it if they run it back up and they said the guy who would do it isn’t back from lunch.
I took the skunk in for a routine oil change against my better judgment. Thought I'd give them a chance. Some kid snapped the top off of my dipstick. They didn't even offer to comp my oil change. That's what I get for going to Walmart I guess.
The absolute slowest place I have ever been to get tires done. 4 hours to do the 4 tires on my truck. They literally took the tires off then started on another car.

They don't honor warranty for tires or batteries battey lasted 5 months On a historic truck that dosent have anything electric
And I've been just today I was in there it seemed like they were just a tad bit understaffed and Adamo Department but I still got a good service mansard any questions I had about my car which is a lot of questions be answered that's why I gave what I gave
