THE BEST IN THE BIZ! We have been taking our cars here for the last few years and are always so pleased by the work that is done and service received. Nic, Zach, and the whole team know their stuff and always treat us so well. I had to have some repair done to my new car due to my own fault and they quickly got it back to looking brand new. I highly, highly recommend them!
Zach went above and beyond to help me out with my new Subaru. Unfortunately, someone put a big scratch in it before I even made my first payment; but he got me right in and about an hour later it was like he waved a magic wand and was able to make the vandalism as if it hadn't happened. Zach is a GODSEND!! The real deal, you want someone trustworthy and honest??? He’s your guy. So far he has fixed both of my cars with no issues. He is fast, reliable and honest. BEST PRICES AND SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD. As a car rental business I always have cars that need fixing and so grateful I found someone who knows what they’re doing and I can trust them!! My family has been taking all of our vehicles here for as long as I can remember. From hail damage to unfortunate scrapes and fender benders, Zach and team have not only fixed my car perfectly but have gone above and beyond helping with insurance and also having my car back to me earlier than expected. No hassles ever, no upsales, but most importantly, just fantastic work - and I am super picky! Couldn't be nicer and easier to work with on top of the great work! If you love your car like I do, only let the best work on it.
I will never NOT use this place! Zach and Nic went way above and beyond to get my van road ready after a year of it sitting with front end damage from a deer. These guys never tried to upsell anything, listened to our concerns, completely respected our budget due to out of pocket expenses, and it now looks like nothing ever happened! They truly turned a nightmare year into a dream! From the moment we walked in to the minute we walked out to our beautiful vehicle, we felt heard, respected, and truly appreciated! Had a little finder bender happen to my truck. Took it into Ding & Things, and right away was met with friendly faces. Zach helped me out and he was very transparent with me about what it will take to fix it. Went beyond my expectations. Even cleaned the inside of my truck and got the whole thing done fast. 10/10 recommendation.
My car was in an accident from the snow in January. Despite negative Yelp reviews, I called D&T on 1/16 to discuss working up an estimate for all the damage, informing them that I might be paying out of pocket for the repairs & would be fixing it even if the insurance company refused to pay for it. Zack ensured me that they would be happy to take my car & have a look at it. The car was delivered to D&T on Friday1/17 at 9 am. I had not heard back by Monday 1/20 so called to see if they had looked at it/prepared an estimate. I was informed that they couldn't find the key the tow company left on the vehicle. After helping them find the key, I was told they would have an estimate right away. Several days later I called for an update & was told that from a visual inspection it would be totaled, again I requested a full estimate, including suspension/engine damage. I was told they would put it on the rack & have a look but would email me an estimate for what they could see just from looking at the car in the meantime. This was sent on 1/28. I am a surgical nurse without the ability to use my phone during operations & also work the exact same hours they are open, M-F 8-5.
I patiently waited over a month to hear something, without my car or even a rental the entire time. At the urging of a coworkers, I decided to have the car towed to another body shop she had positive experiences with. Again, because of their hours, I had to send my daughter to oversee the towing & collect the key from D&T. When she arrived she spoke with Nic, who told her the estimate they conducted initially was adequate b/c they considered the car totaled & also refused to give her the key, stating she would have to pay $125/day for holding the car for over a month. The tow truck left after she was unable to collect the key & was then told by Nic, the owner, that he might be able to work out a deal for the "storage fee" (which at no point during my many conversations with Zack was ever disclosed) if we wanted them to do the work. Which sounds an awful lot like extortion NIC, if not at the very least a disgusting attempt to bully a 19 year old girl. I called Zack, he remembered our conversations, stating they never did a full estimate because the car was deemed totaled from a visual inspection. I again explained that I needed the estimate for ALL the damage, as I would potentially be paying outright for the repairs but also to compare estimates from other shops. I also reminded him that a storage fee was never disclosed during our conversations & if the key was not turned over to my daughter immediately that I would be reporting the car as stolen. He told me Nic, the owner, was handling this now & that I would have to talk with him. Nic returned my call, condescending, calling me honey, & reiterating all the things I had already discussed with Zack. He attempted to mention doing the work & working out a deal for the storage fee. I let him know that I was no longer interested in doing business with them & would be reporting the car as stolen, as well as reporting him to the BBB. He screamed at me to get the car off the lot & proceeded to yell at me over the phone, at which point I disconnected the call. I called my daughter to let her know to call the tow truck back & while I was on the phone with her overheard him screaming at her & her friends that they had 5 minutes to get the vehicle off his property. He forced her to drive a car that his shop deemed totaled, refusing to allow her to wait for another tow truck. I highly suggest going literally ANYWHERE else. The negative Yelp reviews were spot on. Zack was nice and respectful but unfortunately has to defer to the completely deranged, unequivocally unethical, dishonest, misogynistic, rude & DANGEROUS owner. To force a young girl to drive a totaled vehicle off your lot to prove a point & throw a tantrum is the most disgusting display of a business owner I have ever encountered & I am very anxious to hear what an attorney has to say about all of this.
All around amazing. Zach is an honest, open, and authentic person who genuinely wants to help people. I took my RAV4 to him after sliding into a tree and messing up my trunk/bumper. Zach came out and assessed the damage, talked me through the process of what repairs would look like, and when I asked if I could call my insurance in his store he not only said yes, but stood by and helped me talk to my insurance company. Dings & Things are also friendly with the Enterprise on Sunshine and so Zach was able to help me with having someone pick me up from his shop to get a rental car as well as returning the rental afterward. When I picked my car up from his shop my trunk and bumper looked brand new and he again came out and looked at it with us and talked us through everything they did and made sure we were happy. I hope nothing else happens to my car, but should something happen, I know exactly where I’ll be taking it!
Thoroughly impressed with the work done to repair paint damage on my vehicle. The process from talking to Zach initially was professional and all of my expectations were met after receiving my vehicle back from Dings & Things! Very happy with the restored product and the fact that they stand behind the work. Highly recommend them---really top notch work, and I'm very happy I brought my vehicle in! Thank you, Zach!

Zach and Nic were extremely helpful in fixing a large dent and scratch a runaway shopping cart put in my Z. Came in and got a quick estimate, talked over options and set up to have it repaired that Thursday. Went to pick it up and not only was it $100 less than the estimate, they had buffed out my headlights as well. Chatted with Nic about the car and understood that he really cared about it and enjoyed it.

Can't say enough good things really. I'd recommend anyone to go here. Great job on my car and great guys!!! I'll definitely be going back for a few more things.

If there were more stars, I would give them. Nick has always went above and beyond for anything I have called him about. Recently, I was in a rear-end collision. They took care of everything and my car looks brand new. Not only that, it was completely clean inside and out! Had another small issue a week later- wasn't related to the original issue, but Nick figured it out in minutes and fixed it when he didn't even have to. Top notch service, this place! Thanks Nick & Zach! Appreciate you guys!
10 out of 10 would recommend! Zach and the entire team were wonderful to work with from the very beginning. We had 2 vehicles damaged by hail and they helped make a stressful process feel very stress free. Extremely accommodating to the scope of work we wanted to get done and helped educate me on the insurance claim process.
Nick and Zach go above and beyond any expectations you have to provide top notch service. Nick, the owner personally took care of two very stressful situations dealing with the insurance company and the car rental company. He was truly a life saver for me in a stressful situation. Would highly recommend! Just picked up my Bronco after it was literally destroyed by baseball sized hail, and it looks brand new. High quality work and high quality people, Zach greets you as you come in and thoroughly explains the whole process to you! They took care of everything after my initial discussion with my insurance company and then my estimate from them. They were quick to get it in and repaired and the results absolutely blew me away. I had gotten into a car wreck and had some serious damage to my car. Zach and Keith were able to get my quote the next day to give to insurance. They did an amazing job and my car looks better now than it did before. I had some coding errors that took a bit to figure out but Zach went above and beyond by updating me every single day. Letting me know the status of when my parts were arriving and any other issues he found. I appreciate them, a lot of company’s will simply just do what they are paid for and nothing more. But, they made sure when I got my car it would be in perfect condition. They didn’t charge me a penny more than my quote and deductible. They’re amazing!

Zach and his crew did an amazing job fixing my vehicle and blending what turned out to be a difficult color on my vehicle. My vehicle looks good as new! The Customer Service and Attention to detail was superb! They caught things that other shops missed, and kept costs manageable. Zach stayed in constant contact, keeping me up to date on the process and progress.
I will most definitely refer family, friends and my customers to this shop!
I read the other reviews before choosing to go with Dings and Things because of their stellar reputation. Let me tell you, they have EARNED that reputation. They went above and beyond in getting my car better than the condition it went in at. Zack was extremely friendly and kept me informed through the process. I will 100% be recommending them over any other shop (I had work done at Hammer years ago and DID NOT NEARLY receive the same level of service.)
