At the end of September My car was displaying a service engine soon light. After replacing the fuel pump and a couple sensors myself, the car was still dying and sputtering! I called Stauffers! Which i should have done to begin with!! As with every other time I've utilized their services I was in and out quickly with Amazing customer service! Always kind and a caring attitude. Everyone at the shop, or in their Trucks helping you on the road are dedicated to one thing, ensuring you're safe and takin care of your needs! Always blessed when utilizing STAUFFERS!
Stopped on state hwy h in mo to try to help a young man with blown tire. Call staffer towing they looked up location got us numbers for someone closer for this young man.he got help in 45 min. The staff was courteous and went beyond for him on their day off. Good job. Thanks so much!!!
We were stuck halfway on a busy 2 lane blacktop with a truck with blown motor and hauling a camper. Contacted Stauffer and from beginning to end it was the best towing experience I have ever had. The gentleman was kind and efficient and the prices were absolutely reasonable. You WILL NOT regret calling if you need their services.

I was having problems reaching a towing company through my insurance so I called Stauffer Towing & Recovery. They went above and beyond and helped me through the whole process. Was the most helpful and friendly. They truly care about helping people out in their bad situations. I recommend to everyone and know if I need something towed, I’m calling them. GREAT communication, showed up as planned and on time (on a rainy Saturday morning) , the young man did a fine job of parking the vehicle in front of the bay door to make it easy for the repair man to get it in the garage on Monday. Having vehicle issues when you are far from home can be a frustrating ordeal, but thanks to Stauffers Towing and recovery, I was able to get my van to a shop and fixed the same day.
Often, I've spent hours wondering when a tow truck would arrive, but they were headed to my location as soon as I got off the phone with them.
They took great care when loading my vehicle and coordinated where exactly to drop it off when they got to the auto repair shop. They work with many roadside assistance companies, including progressive, so I had no out of pocket cost or paperwork to do.
This was the first time that a roadside assistance issue went smoothly. They knew where I was and got there right away, and they knew where the garage was I was being towed to. Friendly, fast, and professional! Highly recommended.

I was in Missouri visiting family and an unfortunate accident happened. I was extremely upset afraid so far from home. This was not just a tow...it was comfort by a family that truly wants to help you. This garage treated me as family I had brand new tires and 1 was compromised in accident. Honestly told me that thus tire was not safe, would not get me home. Working with my insurance in anyway they could. Gave me calm and knew just what to do. I can't thank Stauffers recovery and towing for helping me not only with my car but understanding my fear so far from home!!
The brakes went out on my vehicle on Saturday, August 17, 2024. I called this tow company and they arrived within 30 minutes. Micah was the driver, and did an amazing job getting my truck out of a ditch on a very steep hillside. He was friendly, professional, and drove me all the way to Lebanon, Mo to a repair shop. I hope I never need a tow in this area again, but if I do I will call this company. Thank you for your great service, and god bless you all.
My husband and I had a flat in an area with very very low internet service. I managed to get to the top of a hill in rural MO where I found 1 cell bar to call roadside assistance. Seth from Stouffer's Towing in Urbana, MO was unexpectedly quick finding us on an unknown county road with a mailbox # where we pulled off road. He was polite, quick to get us going again with genuine concern even calling to see where we could get a replacement tire as our sidewall he quickly found had a hole in it. He followed us to a gas station to assure we had no more problems. Stouffer's Towing is now in my contact list and hopefully will not have to use them again. But if I do Seth's face will be a godsend. I would recommend Stouffer's Towing to anyone remotely close to Urbana and surrounding areas. Thank you, Seth, again for your help, politeness, quickness in doing what you had to do to get us going again, and your concern on such a extremely hot summer day.
Marlin Has always helped us out in a pinch when we get locked out or stuck on the side of the road. He’s there in minutes. Does our oil changes for our trucks and super friendly people.
Marlin was an absolute guardian angel a couple weeks ago. My mother and I were traveling from Texas to my Grandmas in Hickory County, a trip we have been taking for the past 19 years and even before when we lived in KC.
The trip went flawless until we got to HC Road 6, where we didn’t know they had ice two days before and didn’t melt. At first it just looked wet since the whole drive it had been raining.
Long story short he saved us with my 2.5 yr old daughter and my Grandfather and Uncle who attempted to come to our rescue.
Even occurred to check and see if he had chains for my size tires if we needed for the next day since we weren’t able to get to my Grandmas that night.
I know who to call if ever in a situation again, friendly, efficient and honest!
Overcharged and then gave permission to go in property then charged extra for doing so while he wasn't there. Overlooking the car they also damaged the back end of the car unnecessarily with the winch. As pictured. He did accomodate an early pickup on the car before hours. But Wouldn't recommend.
2nd experience with our family. Marlin made 40 mile trip to Springfield to attend to our son's stalled pickup. He towed it back to his shop and replaced the electric fuel pump. Total bill, towing and repair, less than $700. Prompt, courteous, dependable, fair, honest........
I have been a member of AAA for 15yrs. I needed towing services and was told by dispatcher that the roads weren't safe. Within 45min of calling Stauffer Towing, I was back on the road.I was only 2 miles from home. The driver waited at that location and asked me to call him back when I arrived safely at home. Highly recommend.

We were stranded on the side of the highway in a classic car on a Friday evening. Called Marlin and in a very short time he was there with his truck. I had waited for over 3 hrs to hear from my insurance company about a tow, then the sheriff's department called Stauffer's and they showed up immediately. They were courteous, professional and took the time to make sure my car didn't have further damage from the tow. I would use Stauffer's again and I recommend it to everyone!
Marlin and his team went above and beyond to help us with our truck. They were friendly, very responsive, arrived on time and took extra care of our property. I was stranded near the Pomme de Terre Campground when my jeep broke down. It was 90+ outside and no shade to be found. I googled the nearest tow truck. I was in a panic, more worried about my 13 year old service dog than anything as the pavement was too hot for her to walk on. Luckily, I had a change of clothes, 2 tarps for shade and more than enough water. This young man and his son were there with the tow truck reasonably fast considering where I was and hard to find. They were amazingly kind and waited with me until my folks arrived to pick me up. They couldn't have been more patient and made me feel very safe. I think they would have taken me home with them had my folks not been on their way from Springfield. My mom was so impressed. She asked me how I found them, I know I was blessed to have googled the right people!!! Thank you for your amazing customer service!!!
I was on the way home from Bennet Springs on a Saturday morning with the family and my alternator went out. I called Stauffer towing at 7:00 am and he was there within minutes. Good guy and excellent service. Definitely recommend to anyone.
Marlin and his staff at Stauffer Towing are the best! I was recently involved in an auto accident. I was three hours away from home. Marlin allowed me to sit in his nice waiting area while I waited for a friend to pick me up. Since the accident, he's gone above and beyond to help me. I truly believe that Marlin and I were meant to cross paths that day!

A previous post on my account was not done by me, and I am giving this review to make it right with the people who own this business. I can honestly say that it's been years since I have met a nicer, more helpful young man. There was not ONE negative thing that came from this experience I had with them. I'm 59 and I was given back some hope in the human race. My situation wasn't a happy one, yet Mr. Stauffer was the silver lining behind my cloud. Marlin did a great job working with my hectic schedule, into his business schedule. He completed an oil change, tire, rotation and balance. He did a great job, best this set of tires have been balanced!! Marlin made suggestions on how to keep them balanced. I returned the next week for new brakes and rotors.
