Walked in and said, “Hi, how are you doing?” to the three teenage boys in conversation, and proceeded to be ignored. We decided to go to Napa instead. It was probably one of them that did the lame peg leg burnout in the parking lot.

Went in to purchase a battery for a car. The one they brought out was already a year old. I questioned it and he said the warranty will cover if it doesn’t work. They didn’t have another. I was in a pinch and paid them the $225. Get home. Won’t start. Had to jump. No big deal. Drove around a while. Dead the next morning. Tried to put on a charger and wouldn’t hold a charge. Had to get a refund and go to Walmart. Bigger. Better battery with an extra year warranty was $180 out the door.

Run by teenagers who are unprofessional and have only the most basic knowledge of cars. I have to help them find even the most basic parts in their system, while they one finger type in parts numbers. If you go in the evening it’s a hangout where they discuss only fans girls, use excessive foul language in front of children and neglect the overflowing trash can outside. They also huff and puff about even the most basic requests, like alternator testing, battery testing, etc. Go to NAPA instead. A place run by adults, that know what they are talking about, and don’t need to know if it’s 2WD or 4WD to sell you windshield wipers.

Sold me the wrong part and since I can't find the one receipt out of 1000 receipts from there. And they will not refund me the money or credit my account. And they say that they don't have proof that I bought it from them. But they had to order them so that is proof that they should need...

Have stopped in twice now, once to get a diagnostic (they were right on the money about my issue) and again for new windshield wipers. The guys there were able to find my wipers (not the hook style) and installed them for me along with a tutorial.

Very courteous and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable in mechanical components.today 2/23/2024 I needed a battery. I already tested my alternator it was good battery was bad. Employee there close to my age I'm 66 , came out and diagnosed my battery and confirmed my findings. I had to remove the battery myself and take inside. He tested the battery again and said it was bad. The same employee that was close to my age ask younger employee there to please help me. After buying oil,oil filter and battery, I had to carry and install the battery myself. That's after I spent 276.00 Dallors. It's hard to find young people who are willing to do their job,and serve customers for a great company that gives them a good job. I have health problems that on the outside you can't see, but I have back problems.

Sorry to say in 67 years this is the poorest, rudest, most useless service I have ever encountered from any business. I just wanted my battery tested before I bought a new one. I carried it into the store and carried it back out again after they slammed it down on the counter with a sigh and never welcome word of any kind or even looking me in the face. I said sorry for the hassle and went to NAPA , who were happy to check the battery and sell me a new one. I am a business owner myself and would never put up with an employee treating a customer in such a way, very sad for them.

A drive out of town is well worth it The people in Smithville are awful and this store is a reflection of that..... Good luck getting any help and expect an arrogant face at checkout. Go see JC at advanced auto in Liberty. Believe me you'll notice the difference. No amount of gas cost will keep me from going anywhere else from now on.

I purchased a battery for my Toyota 4Runner last night (11-14-22 around 8pm) and the service I received was amazing!! I didn't catch the young man's name that installed the battery, but I appreciate him so much. The way Toyota designed the battery to be put in is not easy at all. This young man struggled until he got it and got it right. It was cold and snowing, which made the effort even more appreciated. There's no way that battery could have been installed at home on our own. Thank you so much to this employee!! He deserves more than a shout out, I hope this review gets back to him and the management at O'Reilly appreciates his work! Thank you, again, for all the work, time, and effort you put into installing this battery for me.

While on a round trip to Texas we were just 120 miles from home when a hose carrying coolant sprung a leak. We managed to get to this location and the staff and some locals here came to the rescue of some very weary travelers. They were not just friendly and knowledgeable, but more than willing to do what they could to get us back on the road. There is no way to adequately express the highlight this turned out to be in these two weeks.

I had to get a battery to start my car. But it didn’t start my car so I got a starter and it started my car. The people there told me I needed both to start my car and they were right. Because after I got my starter I tried it without the battery and it didn’t start but now I have both and it starts. Valvestems

We just spent a very long time at this store and are now having to leave to go to another store to get a regularly stocked item. This store only has two woman working and it appears they have no clue what they are doing.

This past Saturday, I went to the Smithville O'reilly store. There were two employees working, neither wearing face masks. One of them was continuously yawning the whole time that I was there. I don't know what the mask policy is for employees, but I won't be going there again.

I've always been treated well at this store. Younger staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great example that we still have good kids coming up.

I was helped by AJ. He did great with a substitution for my wiper blades. The critical parts I needed were in stock. It's always good to call ahead or check online for parts availability.

ok..service,,,went to get a replacement belt,,the counter-man measured it with a carpenter tape...they had a slightly shorter belt in stock..but it didn't have the "scallops" ..I asked about an exact replacement i.e. order it....and the fellow did not answer... much better experience 20 minutes later at NAPA,,the counter lady scratches off the dirt on the old belt..got the correct number..they didn't have it but ordered it and I picked it up that afternoon....

Really good selection and order system, but this guy working took a half hr trying to change my wiper blades. Finally some 90yr old guy pulls up and did it in 3 mins.

Absolutely awful. I dropped them off one night expecting them almost 24 hours later. I arrive at the store and find that no one had touched them. Had to wait for an hour and a half for them to complete the job I pre paid them to do early in the day. Naturally the claim they "didn't see it" until I walked in. Absolutely horrid customer service. I will never shop this crap shack again. Kearney, Mo store is 100% better.

It's usually a good store, clean & organized. My trip on (2-7-17) late evening was pretty much horrible. The only thing I think I came away with is knowing my Battery & Alternator tested fine. The employee was new and seemed nervous I wish the other employee would of helped him.

Love this store so much! The employees are very helpful and polite and will help you diagnosis your car and install little stuff like windshield wipers and check your oil. It's awesome for someone like me who doesn't really know much about cars. Five stars!

One star is a stretch here. On August 7th, I stopped in for a new battery after the technician where I get my oil changed showed me on the computer I had a bad cell. I hope the following will be used to train employees better. I am not sure if it is because I am a woman or if it is because the employees have no idea what they are doing, but I am disgusted by the experience at O'Reilly's in Smithville. 1. Hunter sold me and installed the wrong battery. I expressed concern that it was half the physical size of the original one. My car would not even turn over nor would it bolt in correctly. 2. He removed that battery, returned it, and I paid the price difference for another battery. He installed that. My car would turn over and die immediately. 3. Zach then joined the "fun" saying it was a coincidence my car would not start now. I told him it was cause and effect. My car was running when I got there. He insisted it was my alternator and I needed to buy one. 4. Zach then said he tested the battery I came in with and it was fine. Just needed a charge. I left while he did that. He said I would still need to buy an alternator. Obviously costing far more than a battery. 5. Zach called saying the original battery was bad it turned out. Now, I need a battery and alternator according to him. 6. More than upset with the service and fact that I was clearly being lied to, I returned with my dad and my brother. I asked Zach to explain to them what was going on with my car and he refused to speak to them. 7. Hunter did speak to my brother who is a mechanic. There was nothing wrong with my alternator. The battery sold to me was not charged. My brother re-installed the 2nd battery I had purchased and my car has run like a champ since then. My alternator is and was perfectly fine!

I do a lot of business with them because they are handy, normal chain parts store, I have found that it is better to go elsewhere when it is a more difficult part I need. Part of the staff is very knowledgeable and some not so knowledgeable, then it can take a while.
