Visited for the first time today. I have used several recyclers over the years and when I phoned to check pricing KC Iron was paying the highest prices.
I stopped in and the process was very smooth. The employees were very friendly and efficient and when I told them this was my first visit they were very helpful letting me know what the process was.
I will be back.
Today was my first time there without my husband. Going to the scrap yard is a little intimidating for me, but the workers there were very helpful, friendly and fast. They are very fair and the pay is good for your scrap metal.
Been coming here for years. I left before they could pay me one day. I didn't know they had 2 bins. Anyway left and 6 months later I came back and they had my ticket hanging there and payed me.. Integrity all the way.
Best scrap turn in place hands down, the owner Josh has great communication and makes the quickest work out of the whole process along with some of the highest pay. Workers are great as well !

Took in 340 pounds of ballasts today and they called them steel case transformers only got paid 34 bucks for them...less than half of what Langley would have paid...won't be going back
Have been coming here for the last 2 years or so, to get my ethernet cables (low voltage cabling Cat 5/Cat 6/ etc). Every time they get me situated quickly no matter how busy they are, friendly staff as always!
KC iron and metal is the only place you should be taking your scrap metal. Always super quick, in and out, and Josh has always been good with his prices. 10/10
My husband works in the plumbing trade and over the year has accumulated scrap that comes out of jobs he completes. We tried KC Iron for the first time today and we were VERY impressed. The level of professionalism, organization, made for the EASIEST trip he’s ever taken to scrap. He literally didn’t even need to leave his truck until he went to cash out. They took their time going through and paid TOP dollar. The last scrap yard we went to paid him less than half of what he made today and he had about the same haul. TRUST ME go and make the most of your hard work! Trade jobs are so hard anyway, these men out here deserve the best service and KC IRON has our business for good Thanks again guys!
My grand kids and I had a great experience recycling aluminum cans here! The staff is very friendly. Their process is very efficient, and we got almost twice as much per pound than we were quoted by another recycling company.
It's tight and busy area, the staff is friendly, the brother whos foreman, escorted me & gave precise backing instructions, Been doing this 10 plus years never seen guy who that good at they job and can actually instruct truck how to turn etc, usually wouldn't trust a none driver, this guy was on point, and got me in and out so Salute to him.
Came here and I was treated with respect. Haven’t been before they told me what the process was and how to be more efficient with it. Good place good guys definitely will be going back.
Worth the drive and your time saving precious metal for this place. Had places try to take advantage of me cause I look young and inexperienced but not this place. I was treated with respect and my stuff was sorted and weighed very fairly. They have no problem educating you if you are new and have questions about how to make the most money out of what you have.
Everyone here was friendly, operations are transparent, PRICES ARE THE BEST IN TOWN and I'll NEVER go anywhere else again.
I was a ten year customer of Langley, and thought I was happy with them. Kc Iron is an infinitely better operation and experience.
First time using this place, and what a breath of fresh air how professional the whole place was. The yard guys and the office were wonderful to work with. And their prices were very good as well. I definitely will be going back
Been going here for generations. The best place to take your copper and brass if your a plumber. They also have heavy duty carts to make it easy. Park on the street. No flat tire risk.

I was able to drop off all my scrap metal, and everyone I dealt with was extremely kind and patient with me. There were several workers in the open yard, and I wasn't sure what to do, but two of them led me through the process (where to park, unloading the metal, taking the invoice in to the office). The young gentleman in the office was extremely professional and helpful; he created a professional account for me and explained the company's process for remuneration. The experience was just as pleasant as I expected, and I am definitely now a loyal customer!
The only difficulty with the location is temporary: the city is doing a LOT of roadwork on 19th Street, so it's a bit tricky getting in and out of the yard. But the workmen were again very helpful in guiding me through the construction safely.

I just want to say "Thank you!" to the wonderful young man who answered the phone today at KC Iron & Metal! I had not used their business before and was calling to find out their location, hours, and specific procedures. The gentleman was extremely friendly and helpful, giving me guidelines about what types of metals were accepted and how to determine the type of metal I have.

Best recycling center on the planet. I have been going to this place since 2001. My father went there throughout the 1990s. The owner, Sandy, is personable, friendly, honest and remembers his customers. The staff are efficient, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Don't go anywhere else.
Wonderful people!! It was the craziest thing, I planned to go 10 minutes away from my house, but after calling around about pricing, i ended up making a 3 hour trip here because their prices were so much better.
I was a little nervous going up here without my husband and it being my first time selling metal.
However, the people were so kind and helpful. even while being super busy...they were rushing around helping people with smiles on their faces.
They made the process so painless.
The money was great but honestly having such a great experience here made my day!

Best place to recycle. Very friendly and helpful. I have been to everyone and this was the only place to take the time to treat me with respect and answer all my questions. And no shady payouts, everything is above board. Extremely honest. We will never go anywhere else!!
Well established business in the heart of Kansas City. They're fastidious about keeping records so you can trust they do what they can to abate theifs. Bring your business here.
Quality place!! Easy to find, but parking can kind of be a pain as you might end up out in the street. Although you might end up parked curb-side, they grab the skid steer and a bucket if needed to come unload you. Staff was professional, helpful and fast. Explained the process, what I can do next time to help things move along faster and even helped me separate my junk pile because I showed up un-organized. Good solid place to do business.
