There is a guy named Alex that weighs when you when you come in in your car and you really have to watch him when he weighs because he takes pounds off of your copper in your brass and your aluminum and if he doesn’t like the way it looks he says it’s dirty and you never know it unless you pay attention to your money so beware of the guy name Alex
Very efficient way to get recyclables liquidated. Obviously they need more space to keep up with supply but considering location don't see much they can do about it.
All the people that work there around nice the only thing I don't like about that is if it rains it's a really muddy but other than that I have no problems with them they have been real helpful when I needed it
The pay out and recycled can areas are fast and friendly. The ferris and non area terrain can be challenging at times with the uneven dirt surface trying to navigate the carts or drive on but their location in the community the friendliness of staff makes up for it and if you avoid the peak days and hours the yard goes quickly as well and they usually have someone there to help direct you safely. The cleaner the metal the higher they pay.
Everything was kosher got in and out quickly well the pay could have been better but scrap prices is low everywhere...the workers are polite and courteous.......
Its a wonderful place you take a little scrape metal there and leave with your pockets stuffed with cash and the scale guy knows every thing about scrap
Just got 9 dollars for 16 pounds of bare copper wire and they called it insulated. Had no insulation tho and was relying on this money for medication I have to have. Shoulda offered me some grease before they effed me.
Website said closing at 11:45 they closed early :/ keep yr website updated, boo hoo employees have to work late boo hoo i guess they dont care about making money. Turned away a bunch of customers :( never ever going back unreliable.
I had 10 years worth of aluminum cans, and wow, we drink a LOT so it was a pile. I also had an aluminum wheel. I debated which place to go to since there are a lot of bad reviews for other places so I chose 12th Street.
I went on a Saturday morning about 8:30. It's a small yard, but there were only about 3-4 people there. As soon as I drove in, a guy came up and asked what we had, and told me to throw the wheel on a scale over there, and then take the cans up to this other shed where they would be weighed. He grabbed the wheel and by the time I was out of the car he had it weighted and gave me a paper slip with the weight and type of metal. Then I carried the cans up to the other shed about 30 feet away, and those were all weighed (150 lbs). I got another slip there, and then I took the two slips to the cashier window and they wrote up a receipt and I got .42 for the cans (more than I though it would be, I was expecting about .35) and I got .50/lb for the wheel. She gave me cash and we were outta there!
Everybody was helpful and nice and the entire visit took less than 10 minutes. I would not hesitate to go here again.
The blonde lady was very rude and not helpful. I called the number google lists last week to see what all they recycle. Th lady today said they don't recycle anything I brought, after driving 20 min, and was very rude. It's cramped as well. Disappointed.
