I ended up here due to unfortunate circumstances. However, thanks to policies these guys have in place and their integrity as a business, my unfortunate circumstance wasn't as devastating as it ultimately could have been. The people that work here are amazing and all-around genuinely good people!
No one wants to work all way close early and never had that shit posted closed on New Year’s Day. Don’t make no sense and close early the day after New Year’s Day makes no sense.
Rude staff. I weights are wrong in non ferrous. I us to like going there. But lately not to much. Pay has declined. When other scrapyard are paying mlm ore. Do your research before giving them your hard earned work.
Love this place. The employees are wonderful and very helpful. Steven in the scrap yard does a great at his job!!! He cares about the customer and puts in the extra effort to make sure all goes well. Thank you!!!
Staff was wonder full attentive the vibe was chill my pork chop was fantastic like melt in your mouth good I gotta go back for more it's worth going through a bit of construction for it

Wish I could leave zero stars. Drove 45 mins to crush a car and they claim they closed at 11:30 however online it says 12pm. What a waste of time and fuel.
Top prices and a friendly staff makes it a nice experience, I've been going here for 10 - 12 years

Absolutely the best in KC. They are always polite and professional. They have the cleanest yard and plenty of staff that are friendly and available for any questions. The prices are fair even with the small quantities we bring in. They follow COVID-19 safety recommendations so wear your mask. They ask you have it presorted before you get there and I like that it keeps down on lines developing like other places in KC.
I've been tryn to find a scrap yard in town with good prices, they seem to be the same with other local yards. The only prob is they realy need to clean up, i go 2 screws in my tire. But the staff is good and they don't yell at you like some other yards iv been to.
They're a good place for all your scrapping needs. Lots of people always in line to do recycling, so there's that they all come back and glad to have a recycling station that pays as good as anybody, and convenient.
I have been selling metal to them for over 6 years. And at least several times a week at that. Used to be my go-to place. Was a five-star rating. But every time I go lately it gets worse and worse and today just pushed me over the edge. I didn't even have that much aluminum to sell and it was 11:49 on a Saturday and they said no they would not buy it even though they don't close till noon. My one-year-old needs formula or milk or something and now I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do other than borrow money which is not even cool. I don't know if I will ever go back to their non-ferrous
The people that work there are rude and unprofessional. There theives and RIP you off if your not paying attention or dont know what your doing. I recently took a huge load of clean aluminum to them and it was 110 pounds the receipt said 85 pounds tare so I was only paid for 25 pounds. there was no tare for it was clean aluminum they stole around 180 dollars from me. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.
I needed some quick cash and after unloading found out no cash just check . sucked into to that . a sign would of been good. I would of just went down the road
They are pretty nice people to do business with. They are not handicapped accessible. so you will have to have somebody walk up into the trailer so you can be paid for your materials. That you take in. Otherwise it's a great experience.
So I decided to test this recycling center. I had 6 pounds of copper with a few ounces to spare. 100% bare bright. They weighed it out at 5 pounds and tried to tell me certain parts of the copper were number 2. Have photos of the scrap I turned in. If anybody wants to dispute this.
This place at manhester suck i took a car to scraped it took them 1:30 to thell me that tghe car had a .Lien but it was relase. So they told me that i had to wait a little more. So i got mad and left. I took it tho the advantage on 7 st kc ks. It took them 20 minuttes so i can junk it. So i really dont recomend no body to go the advantage on manchester. They . the are too slow
The ferrous shred area is run well. Unload fast and good customer service.
The non ferrous area rated my extruded aluminum as sheet Aluminum .70 verses .09 a pound.
The paid me for an aluminum motor instead of a copper one. I complained and they got aggressive and intimidated me. Like most people stealing.
Very unethical in non ferrous area. Don’t trust them at all.
They paid me for junk metal and mine was top grade! Rude office lady also. Drove 20 miles out of my way to go there instead of Lee’s summit which was way closer
Very professional and easy to use. I usually take anywhere from 2 tons to 4 tons at a time and have never had any trouble or problems at all. They have all the right equipment to unload your scrap quickly and easily or you can unload yourself either way works out great. They can take anything from a car trunk full of stuff all the way up to an 18 wheeler.
