Do not take your scrap to Reed's. They are unethical and have shady business practices at best. I called them on Wednesday afternoon to ask what the price is on something to scrap. I took it in the next morning and was initially told the same price. During unloading I was told it would be 20% less then what they said the day before and 15 minutes earlier. I scrapped it cause it wasnt worth my time to load back up and go somewhere else. This review is to let people know the type of unethical business this place practices, that they are liars, and hopefully drive a little business away from them and towards a better company.
Took my boys to sell some copper and brass and the workers they took the time to teach my kids how to clean it up to make more money in my book that goes a long ways with me. thank you again to guys upper there for taking time to teach them
1:30 in the afternoon. 3rd time I’ve been up here they have been closed. Their damn hours says open till 4:30 even if ya call that’s what it says. I won’t try this place again. If I could give no stars I would.
I took scrap copper to them...had just over 200 pounds. They deducted 98 pounds from the total weight. They said it was dirty. I have never had that happen at any other scrap yard. I will never take anything there again. What a scam...
This is a place that takes advantage of its customers. Zero transparency. Zero professionalism. Cost me more in fuel than what they paid for high quality clean aluminum.
Just showing up and asking for help is a burden on the people who work here. They also don’t know their prices for metal, and all say something different. Will not be returning.
Was able to get rid of my water heater. No pickup services, but there was someone to help me unload it once I got to the yard. They take a lot of “junk” which is cool! Fairly friendly. And hey, $5 is better than nothing!
Looked up the hours this morning website says they close at 11:45. My son showed up at 11:30 and the man closed the gate in front of him and left. Rude! If there is another recycling center we will go there! As you can see from my post it is only 11:39 right now!
