I always got a disrespected for asking for the reason why I was docked for a little water in the scrap metal in a barrel I brought in with other appliances that had a little amount of rain water in the scrap metal load I dropped off and I asked why I lost a little money that deducted from my load I took in after weight in before and after I was unloaded the second I had asked why I lost a little weight getting paid they got a disrespect answer for my question for doing that and I said what about the people who throw trash that is not metal and they don't get lost for the same thing just I had a little water from the rain that day and I was answer the most disrespectful way for no reason I got disrespectful back to them about it and started getting threatened from the office lady and told me she was going to hit me with a weapon if I didn't leave the office after I said I would like to talk to the person about her that is the boss and the other workers started to lie to the boss that I was causing problems with them about losing a little weight because of the water and I asked what is the reason she didn't take the same stuff with the other person who throw the trash down there and it's not metal and not do the same as she did me for some water that was half of a cup full less than the trash from the other person next to me at the pile of scrap metal unloaded down where it goes when she saw both of us down at the same time as she said that over the speaker I said that I felt like she was taking out sometime on me for no reason other than asking her a question why she didn't do the same as she did to me that I know she saw him dumping trash with the metal to only say I was in the wrong for that I don't believe that they treat customers with respect that well and I was told I was not allowed to come back afterwards ban for life for asking a simple question why I was the only one she did that to every time other than that she was disrespect and rude to me till I had enough rude and disrespect from her that I argued back to her and cursed her out because I had enough for her every time I brought in metal she was rude to me for no reason even when I asked a question for price for something about bringing in for buying stuff till I had to do it back to her before I was kicked out for ever afterwards I was lied on her when she called the police on me accused of making threats to her when she said to not be back now because I called her out over the entire situation that was started about losing money
It's a terrible place I used go in and have a decent experience. Everyone is slow and lazy. 12 years ago I would bring little truck beds of junk and get a pretty good price. This last few times I have been in there I have had a loaded bed of junk and got 23 dollars It's not worth your time to go un there take it to someone else because metal prices are way down. Your paying them to take your recycling. Maybe prices are down but this place has crumbled. Never again

We took a large load of ferrous metal here yesterday. It was easy and the people were very nice. They were training a new person at the front counter. Also, I felt comfortable driving my good truck and trailer through their facility…. plenty of room and the drives were kept clear of debris.
Been in the place 1000 times same guy in there one new guy, I had no plates just a company logo on my truck every time. Now they discriminated against me because I was trying to scrap to license my new truck. Will never return and beware folks they rip you off.
Very very rude from the get-go and I was just upset because they ripped me off on copper and brass saying my number one copper and that they would give me number one price if I loaded it all back up came back around and had it sorted which it was sorted and my mind was just on that but then I look at the receipt and the weights were totally freaking wrong like impossible wrong so not only did they give me number two copper prices instead of number one and a bunch of other stuff wrong things with the brass and all that and then when I ask he's very rude I would recommend anybody to use anywhere else or drive 30 mi to moberly to sell your scrap because not only was it bad experience they rip me off bad
Seems like folks are trained to rip off the customer???definitely don't recommend this company I will drive 30 minutes to Moberly and get treated fairly with expert staff
I would not recommend coming to this place the old guy there was rude to me and my friend and they made us do everything by ourselves with no help and we had to go weigh a fridge and we had to do it ourselves with no instructions
I was very much taken Advantage of had 4 tons of number one I beem. I got 171.00 dallers. And I was maed to unload in to a bin. And I brought it loaded in a dump trailer. So when the Crusher Down and (YOU PAY)!!!
First time visit. Got offered $10 for converter said I'll keep it. He offerd 30. I new betyet and that i was being robef.took converterto another rcy center and got $175. Crooks liers and thieves.
It says they close at 4, but when I pulled in at 3i was told they were done for the day. Very frustrating and I will go elsewhere that honors their business hours.
The man that collected the metal was extremely nice, helpful, and took the time to better explain the recycling process. I had some metal that didn't belong but he didn't turn me away and helped me pick out the wrong pieces. Overall, it was a great 1st time recycling experience. Thank you Advantage metals for having really awesome employees!
I use these guys pretty often, there's been some slow times and times where you could see people weren't very happy but generally it's a great place to go. not everybody can be happy all the time and not everything can go smoothly all the time that needs to be understood by customers when going to any scrap yard.
Very fast got through easily paid.. B* was very professional she did a good job.. dollar bill came to the window fast got me through line.. would highly recommend this place to recycle.
Been going for here for years. Not sure why people are so uptight with their reviews. Get in, dump your scrap, get paid, leave. Real simple, no thrills, people need to chill out with the negativity. Bring your I.D.
Accidentally showed up near closing time with a large load of cans from the Boy Scout recycling bin and they processed them all for me and treated me very kindly! I use these guys three to four times a year and never have any problems!
Showed up just before closing and was turned away. Customer service is garbage there. Then again, it is a garbage recycle area, so maybe you shouldn't expect much. Will take my business elsewhere. Do NOT recommend them for anything. I will go to another recycle place even if it is out of town, before I ever come here again!!!! Even after being told to go back to turn it in, I was turned away by the guy at the weighing area. Guess he was ready to go home on a Friday. I get it, but it was still within the scheduled business hours. TERRIBLE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. GO ELSEWHERE, TRUST ME GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION!!!!!
Just left this facility. Blonde woman smoking in front was dismissive. Employee at the back of the building stared at us until we finally asked where to pull in. Guy on forklift looked pissed off at the world, and he acted like it, too. Have 800+ pounds of expensive steel and aluminum equipment. Brought in Hobart specs, but Mr. Angry was going to toss it all in one miscellaneous bin. I said no thanks. Service level is 0. Attitudes stink. Fair prices not offered.
