This place was a joke! Recycled a trampoline and got $9.60. Over 200 lbs of good poles. I would never go there again. The guy gave terrible instructions on where to dump it then complained when we unloaded in the wrong place. First and last experience with this place!
It would be cool if they would change the outgoing phone message, or the website, or answer the phone, or indicate in some way that they don't accept recyclables any more. The lady seemed irritated that I pointed these things out. They wasted my time and gas to get here; she could have at least been polite.
Inconsistent info. Their website lists a long list of materials they accept, but multiple people have reported being turned away unless they’re just dropping off cans — and only if separated. The site also doesn’t mention they close for lunch, which has caused issues. If the policies have changed, the website should reflect that. Feels misleading and wastes people’s time.
Please everyone beware this place is a joke the the 2 employees I dealt with this morning are definitely not respectful very rude and I want to warn you the roads behind this place are riddled with sharp objects and scrap that hasn't been cleaned up you are going to get a flat I have one on my truck stay away from this place they don't pay you fairly you will get robbed
The drive through is a nice feature. However I dealt with about 3 people there that were toothless idiots. Not uncommon here but just saying. I took roughly 25 computers there and asked if they stripped them or just ground them up. They referred to "the boss" which I never saw. They said "the boss" takes some of them home and they don' know after that. I am definitely not convinced they do anything useful other than trash. I will be seeking other solutions, not for the money but the planet
Don’t waste your time or gas driving to this place. They are rude and have an attitude like they are doing you a favor. Apparently having to actually do something is a huge inconvenience to them.
If you’re looking for a recycler who will try and beat you out every penny they can- this is your place. They will pay you shred steel price for your aluminum, copper, brass and hope you don’t notice or won’t say anything. By the time you see what is going on? You’re unloaded and up a creek without a paddle. Not to mention their yard is treacherous for your tires and truck. Bring a couple spare tires. And good luck.
Something has happened in the last year (ish) went there at 9 am this week,to find 1 person ahead of me,at 930 I walked up to see when or if they were gonna open,was told they still have to go to bank,to get cash..that it would be at least another 30min..nobody rushing around..they were eating breakfast inside..so after wasting 30 minutes already ,I wasn't gonna waste 30 more,and left.I would be more understanding..but this isn't the 1st time,historically these guys were the best around,now this happens more often than not,if you go early( advertised open at 9am) you gotta wait for them to go to bank....if you go later they are closed because they ran out of cash,I like to be loyal customer,but out of the last 5 loads I have taken there,4 of them I ended up taking across town,wasting my own time and fuel,alot of the people I know have stopped going here at all,they pay better on copper and non shred.but not enough to cover the wasted time and fuel.i understand times are hard..I get that...I think retaining your customer base would alleviate alot of this,as the lost business is considerable,if corporate bookkeeping is trying to determine how come business is down at this location...given that times are hard..1 would think business would be way way up for you guys
Use. To be decent now there yard tears your vehicle up. They screw over on price of copper steel aluminum. Way worth your drive to go to the other. Scrappy yards.
I have always had good experiences here. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Nobody has ever made me feel stupid. That is IF you can find them open. They will close fir any reason with no notice. Especially on the Saturday they say they're open. And now it looks like they're not paying for shred steel, since the price is decent. I used to love this place but I think driving across town may be worth it.

Hadn't used their service before, and had quite a load of miscellaneous junk. I had sorted and bagged several kinds of cable and a variety of electronics for recycling after purging the 20 year stockpile in the garage, not knowing there was a mix of conductor metals in a group of cables that looked the same. He patiently explained the differences in those cables, and sorted through each of the several bags. Also patient with me when I missed a step in the weighing process!! Appreciate the important work in recycling!!
Be prepared for a wait, as they are usually very slow. They provide an important recycling service. I was thankful to have a place to recycle my text books and electronics without a fee.
Thos place is amazing! I was looking for cheap steel to make some things and they had multiple things I needed. Very cheap prices per lbs for like new steel pieces. Shafts, plate, angle, and going back today to find some bearings. Very friendly woman working the register. They let me walk around on my own diging thru metal for hours. Highly recommend this place for steel or aluminum scrap.
