Received great customer service with having my car towed to the local BMW dealership. Wes was the technician/driver and he was extremely professional, polite and friendly!
Do NOT use this company if you have any other options!
When we called regarding our vehicle, they claimed they did not have it - we ended up having to have multiple back and forths with them before they finally agreed that they did have our car... then they would not allow us to pick it up because “their office was closed today”, even though it was mid-afternoon, they had been answering our calls and had towed our car only about an hour before, but sure, I guess they were too busy to do anything besides tow the vehicles since clearly they couldn't even keep track of what had been towed.
When we went to get our car the next day, the inside of their office was *filthy* and very dimly lit. There was a large puddle of standing water on the floor and an awful smell filling the room.
They asked us for nearly $300 for a “full tow service and two days of storage”, even though they literally towed the car less than 200 feet, as their lot is directly behind the gas station where it had been towed from due to the snow storm and the car had not even been on their storage lot for a full 24 hours. After some discussion about the cost being too high, they suggested we commit insurance fraud to save ourselves money… this is an overall shady and corrupt business.
ATR is NOT honest. They towed my car to the wrong place and then refused to move it to the correct place at their expense. I had no idea my car was at the wrong place until a guy called me wondering why my car was there. My car is a Subaru and they towed it to Toyota instead of Machens Collision Center East. I have three witnesses that heard what I said to the dispatcher. When I realized what had occurred, I thought that perhaps we should take it to Subaru, but my car made it nowhere. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and I'll approach the MO Attorney General's Office next. ATR will reply to this review and try to cover their backside. LOL.
Car towed to the WRONG PLACE and refused to tow it again WITHOUT being CHARGED AGAIN? What kind of practice is this? When my best friend's family used to own Ecomony Towing, at least they made things right. Insane.
This is the worst company that I have everr dealt with! They are rude and don’t give a shit about their customers. Charging 200 per day for temporary storage of an accident vehicle. I’m a retired combat veteran and this could qualify as extortion! Who the hell has 1000. just laying around. I can see 50 per day, but 200 is nothing less than excessive. People wonder why insurance rates are do high, this is a contributing factor and I will work Tirelessly with my State Representative to establish legislation that will limit the amounts that these companies can charge!
Zach did great customer service. I had a towing due to a flat tire. When the first stop for tire fix did not work out, he escorted me to another stop to fix the problem.
It took a while for them to get to me, however Zachary was very friendly and helpful when he arrived. I would call them again or recommend them to others in the future.
Today our car broke down on I-70. With 3 kids in the car, we were highly stressed! I believe Zach was the name of the tow truck driver that came to our rescue. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe. He helped my husband install a new battery and made sure we were good to go before he left us. We were so grateful for his help!
I unfortunately crashed when turning at a light and both my left side tires popped immediately. I called and got a tow within 8 minutes by Michael. The experience couldn’t have been better. He was very professional and kind and had me to a tire shop within 15 mins for a charge of only $75. Will highly recommend if you’re in a tight spot and need a tow!!
After I requested a tow from my insurance company, Zach immediately called to let me know he was nearby and on the way. He arrived within minutes and quickly towed my car to the repair shop. Throughout the process, he was professional and very friendly. I'm truly grateful for the service Zach provided. Zach towed my truck after my brakes locked up. He was very kind and went the extra mile to ensure that my truck didn't get any extra damage. Great guy and great service. Definitely recommended!

ATR Towing and recovery was dispatched by Ford warranty app in Columbia MO. Zach (driver) was onsite and had car hooked up within 30 min. Zach was very professional and allowed me to wait in truck while I figured out rental cars, dealer, etc. Highly recommend Zach and ATR Towing and Recovery in the Columbia area.
Zack is an absolute hero he went above and beyond to come get us and was more than kind and helpful to me and my children I seriously can't say enough good things about him and the company the world needs more places like Zack he deseves and raise and a promotion!
My truck broke down on 70 on a Friday afternoon. The response time was incredible. The roadside assistance ap showed 30-60 minutes but Zach called to me he was on the way and within 15 minutes he had my truck in the tow truck and we were on the way. He was very friendly and courteous.
Zach was an absolute amazing gentleman who kept me safe on the side of the interstate in construction. He was there in less than 30 minutes when he realized the dangerous location I was in. So thankful and grateful for him.
Zach was very quick to come get us. Great guy with great equipment. They were able to take care of my family and I after we broke down alongside the road, and it is much appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone.
My truck broke down on a Saturday while driving across the country. They came out and even drove us by the hotel before dropping the truck off at the dealer so we could unload our truck. The service was very helpful and friendly. After not getting help at the dealership I called and asked where a good place to get my truck repaired. They sent me to a great repair shop and then towed me there. They went beyond just towing to get me the help I needed. Would recommend them for all of your towing needs.
They arrived faster than USAA's suggested ETA. The gentleman was friendly, fast, efficient, and safe. ATR saved my bacon, and I'm grateful for their help!
Paul was quick and very personable! He worked so hard to charge my battery and when that didn’t work he had to find additional jumper cables! He worked diligently and was very kind! Thank you!

My wife and I were headed back to Chicago for work this past spring and broke down at the intersection of Hwy 54 and I-70 . Immediately called ATR towing and called and spoke with Riley. He was very polite and arrived not long after we spoke on the phone. He was able to get our truck back to their shop in Columbia and get us back on the road by the next morning. We have already referred ATR to others on several occasions. Riley was very hardworking and professional and made us feel relieved that we would be well taken care of and could sleep good that night!!! Thanks a million ATR Towing and thank you Riley again for taken care of us when we were stranded and helpless!!!
Thank you Michael Hartman and team for handling towing my car after an accident. And putting my receiver hitch in the vehicle so I wouldn’t forget it when I retrieved my personal items. Office staff and other staff members were super friendly and helpful when I called repeatedly and then came with my son to get our things and say farewell to our car.
ATR responded to tow wrecked vehicle. Tow guy shoveled all the debris of both vehicles onto my car's back leather seats. Refused to tow my vehicle to collision repair shop of my choice, unless I paid him up front, even though I have comprehensive coverage. Disappointed.
