We called Slate towing and they responded within 20 min. Bill the towing guy was exceptionally friendly and super knowledgeable. He helped us pull out our truck and camper out of the mud and even got it turned around and ready for us to take off in the morning! Their prices were very reasonable so I’d definitely recommend their services. Thanks Bill!

Easy to use--was able to call and schedule pick up, then just leave the key with my car so I didn't have to wait around and they took it to mechanic and left key with them. Easy payment, fair pricing, everyone I talked to on the phone was extremely personable. Overall, one of the more painless towing experiences I've ever had!

This was a wonderful towing service and I highly recommend them. My car slipped into a ditch during a winter storm. Within about an hour I was able to get my car safely back on the road and on my way home. These guys were honest, fast, and reliable.

Literally the best service I've ever gotten from a tow. Had a flat and the spare was out as well. I can't remember my drivers name but he was kind and got his work done fast. It also meant a lot that he called and checked on us even after he dropped us off at our destination. Highly and genuinely recommend. Hands down.

My husband had an accident on a Tuesday evening. The cop had his car towed to Slate while my husband rode the ambulance. We called them the next day and the total was $575. On Thursday afternoon we went to get the car and the total had gone up $100. They were charging us for 3 days of storage and it hadn't even been two. They paid us $150 for our car. So learn from us and pick up your car immediately or call someone else if possible. But they're probably all a racket. Several items from our car were missing including a tool set from the trunk.

Slate towing saved the day. When my tire blew out on my way to Columbia they responded and was there within a half hour. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend their service. And to anyone having Onstar they are the only company that were willing or able to respond. Hope they have a wonderful holiday!

Slate Towing is the best in Mid-Missouri. My car was stranded on I-70 in Warrenton last weekend. All three wrecking crews my insurance company dispatched canceled. One call to Slate, and a wrecker was inbound to return my car to Columbia. Real, kind, professional people achieved what technology couldn't on the side of the highway. My Jeep radiator blew while traveling through Columbia Missouri. Kiffer from Slate Towing showed up quickly and greeted me with a much needed ice-cold bottle of water. He recommended a great auto service station and was very courteous and professional. The top-notch service from Slate made the whole breakdown very easy and stress free. Great customer service is not dead!

These guys are awesome!! My car had been there for over a month and I was pretty much hopeless on getting it back, the tow bill should have been $1000 or more but the owner really cared and wanted me to have my car back ... So knowing I didn't have much money and being the nice understand man he is .. He knocked my bill down to under half of that!!! If I could I would give them10 stars!!!

Captain got to us in a quick time, was very informative on what he was doing so we felt comfortable and handled our truck like a pro given the situation it was in. This company was called for us by a state trooper after someone rear ended us. The guy was great. He made sure we had a ride coming, and when my ride was taking a while to show, he offered to give us (my boyfriend, dog, and me) a ride home because it was on his way. It was starting to snow so we really appreciated this! Will use Slate for any future needs.

Slate towing was incredible, my granddaughter was Iocked with the keys in my daughters car. While on hold with AAA, a Slate towing driver stopped, unlocked the car so we could safely get to my granddaughter out of the car. The most incredible thing was since he was already in the area he said he was happy to help us and that there was no charge. Slate towing will be my only yow service from here out. Slate Towing was a shining beacon after a bad day. When my car broke down on the side of the road, after calling multiple other companies, Slate came and got us to safety. He took us to a shop he suggested as fair and honest, then took us to a motel that "is cheap but not creepy." The driver, I forget his name sadly, was exceedingly professional and understanding and a great help in what had been becoming an increasingly frustrating situation. Nobody wants their car to break down and strand them on the side of the road, but Slate Towing is my first recommendation for anyone looking for professional yet kind helping face. Thank you again!

Traveling across the country has its own stresses. Breaking down on the side of the interstate at night just adds that much more. Kiffer was courteous and considerate and really went out of his way to help us. He recommended a great repair shop and suggested a close by hotel, then drove us to our hotel and patiently waited while we unloaded our truck. Would highly recommend calling him if you are stranded and need towing.

I want to say Thank you to Chad for towing my truck off of 170 tonight. This is the first time I have ever had to use a towing service and he did amazing. He was able to get to me in a timely manner and safely transported my truck to a shop. Thank you again!

Called for a tow today during lunch time madness in columbia. The driver came in the time he said it would take to reach me and towed my car to the shop across town. We agreed on $60 which was less than the other 4 I priced today. Was very pleased the operator seemed to know what he was doing and all and all great service. Btw highway patrol uses these guys and my friend who is an officer said these guys are reasonable and fear the job done right.

James showed up faster than any tow truck operatior I've ever met in my life. I broke down at about 2:10, called a shop who said they could get me in if I could get it there by 3:00. Called Slate a bit after that and James showed up in literally 10 minutes! We rolled up to the shop, car in tow, just before 3:00! Wow! Thanks so much! Truly! Highly recommend!

I would most definitely recommend Slate Towing. Kiffer Slate was very kind and helpful. Dan the tow truck Operator was most helpful. He went out of his way to help us. I appreciate that. You dont see people and businesses like this anymore. If your broke down, outa gas,or just need your vehicle taken somewhere,give them a call 24/7.

Matt was super helpful. Turns out that I ran out of gas and he was so kind about it, didn't make me feel like an idiot and arrived within 15 minutes of me calling roadside service. Recommend them anytime and ask for Matt!
