⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolutely Exceptional Stay. Best Hospitality I’ve Ever Experienced! Family-owned & Full of love. I travel constantly for work and have stayed at well over a hundred different hotels, but none have come close to the experience I’ve had here. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail have been absolutely outstanding. You can truly tell that customer satisfaction is their number one priority. The rooms are spotless, beautifully decorated, and smell amazing, not like the typical “bleachy” hotel odor you sometimes get elsewhere. Every aspect of my stay has been handled with genuine care and pride. When my work trip got extended, I had the option to move to a hotel much closer to my job site, but I chose to stay here simply because of the phenomenal service and warmth I’ve experienced. The on-site 1940’s Soda Fountain, Luncheonette, Ice Cream Shop, AND Mercantile is such a charming touch. It feels like stepping back in time, and the breakfast and lunch are always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I’m honestly going to be sad to leave, because this level of hospitality is rare these days. It’s clear that this place isn’t just a hotel. It’s a passion project built on genuine care for every guest who walks through the door. - George (William)

Christy and Everett have really done a great job with this building and this business. From the check in, until check out, the experience is great. Service is excellent, rooms are clean, food is wonderful and their staff is great. Don’t know if I’ll ever be back in Marble Hill, but absolutely would stay here again. Even if you’re just passing through, Marble Hill is like stepping into a Time Machine that transports you to 1945 and EC Reed captures it perfectly. Worth the stay.

Me and my kiddo stopped for lunch The reuben was excellent and my kiddo loved the grilled hot dog. But the biggest wow for me was their housemade pickle which is an old fashioned pickle like my grandmother use to make. It took me back?

We were in town visiting friends. This place was only 15 minutes away which was very convenient. We were told about the place and had to give it a try. We checked in around midnight. When we called about the late checking they said that was fine they will.leave the front door unlocked and our key with some papers to check in. The place was very clean and updated. It looked like it was freshly remodeled. The room was well stocked, the shower had great pressure and the bed was pretty comfortable. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

This place is like stepping into a beautiful time capsule from the 1950s to 1970s. From the classic soda floats to the vintage furniture, every detail brought back that nostalgic charm. I stopped in for breakfast and was genuinely impressed the waiter was quick, super helpful, and most importantly, seemed happy to be there. That positive energy really sets the tone for the whole place. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced (check out the photos I posted for reference). What’s even better is that the hotel and gift shop are attached, filled with quirky, retro items again, all affordably priced. The surrounding area is small but full of character. If you’re staying nearby, whether at an Airbnb or the hotel itself, this is a must-visit. There’s also a barbershop next door and several antique and thrift shops close by, many hiding awesome treasures at great prices. Highly recommend swinging by EC Reed’s it’s a whole vibe.

Boutique hotel with a charming atmosphere. Stayed here while looking at real estate in the area. Service is very friendly and will answer the phone, however do not anticipate staff to be at front desk (they are always nearby). Rooms are well kept and decorated nicely. Will gladly stay again and would recommend for anyone visiting the Marble Hill area!

After a full day of floating down the Castor River, EC Reeds Hotel was exactly what we needed. The 1940s theme is absolutely adorable. It's like stepping into a charming time capsule! Our room was spotless, and the beds were super comfy. But the real star of the show? The 1940s-style soda shop! We’re still dreaming about the biscuits and gravy and the French toast—hands down the best we’ve ever had. And don’t even get me started on the old-fashioned sodas… pure, fizzy nostalgia in a glass. The owners were so kind and welcoming. It felt more like visiting family than staying at a hotel. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed there a week ago. There was nobody at the desk, just my room key and reservation. The room was clean, but, the door didn't even latch close. That was a bit scary at night. I notified the owner but got no response. Also, the "continental" breakfast is nothing more than a few prepackaged muffins.

My mom and I took a road trip to Bentonville and weren't planning on visiting Marble Hill. We took the long way skipping St Louis and ended up in the Bollinger County specifically because of EC Reed's. Thank goodness we did because I fell in love with this little spot and the town. The room was clean and cozy, the little breakfast counter in the lobby delightfully fulfills every breakfast and late night snacking need although save yourself for the cafe, seriously! ||I'm first and foremost a food tourist so Everett needs a shout out. His lunchette counter is comprised of entirely restored, original soda fountain machines except for the 5 gallon ice cream machine which is an exact replica. He was trying out a new flavor, Pistachio with a raspberry/blueberry swirl. 10/5 stars. And the strawberry pie..... Fabulous. ||Plus, everything for sale in the mercantile is local first to the area then state and, if they can't find a MO version, made in the USA. It's like stepping into the American small town Hollywood promises where the people are kind, history is remembered, and American industry is peak. Kathy can also recommend all sorts of cool places in the area including Ava Crafter Center in Burfordville, which has been antique floor looms to weave rugs for over 50 years. Now all from upcycled fabric! You can buy OR learn how to use yourself. I'm obsessed.||I love digging through antique and thrift stores and poking my nose in random bits of history and Americana so I am so glad Kathy and Everett's hotel pulled me into this town. I found three additions to my vintage kitchenware collection including a plethora of original Aladdin Stanleys (that's right the original Stanley cups!). Jay's BBQ is a fabulous spot to sample the famous MO pork steaks, and how cool to see dino skeletons from the same collection in the Smithsonian!! They were found right outside town.||So if you're passing through to explore the Ozarks and Trail of Tears State Park; on the MO antique trail; or just happen to be in the area, stop by EC Reed's Mercantile and Hotel! Do it, do it, do it! This place captured my heart, and I'm already thinking about my next trip down.

Book this place! 1000%! I cannot express how awesome this stay was! Me and some family flew in from out of town for a show that was close by & ended up being later than expected but they were so accommodating to make sure we were still able to get checked in as smooth as could be! Adorable hotel! The rooms were decorated so nice, and the mini fridge was a nice surprise cause I didn’t recall seeing there would even be one! The bed was so comfy, I didn’t ever want to get up out of it! The shower & A/C worked great which is always a toss up with hotels, & the onsite diner and store were also amazing. 1000/1000 customer service, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy in every way! If we are ever back in that direction we’ll be coming back here!

Excellent! The room was very comfortable, the bed slept great. It was quiet, and the AIR conditioner did a great job. Christy was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and quick. We just really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place.

This little town is diamond in the rough. My husband and I were passing through on our way to Utah and we were both amazed with the uniqueness and beauty of this hotel. The second you walk in it’s like you took a step back into the past. The 1940s style runs through the lobby to the soda shop/mercantile with the rooms having a much softer tone. The family that owns the Inn are friendly and great to chat with. If you get the chance definitely find the time to chat with them.

I don’t even know where to be begin, from the 40s themed shop, barbershop and general decor in the restaurant this place is so calming. Absolutely perfect match for anyone looking for the small town vibe. The hotel room was clean and perfect for my pet, wife, and I! The restaurant had a delicious breakfast, highly recommend trying the French toast and omelets! Overall this mercantile Hotel is a great choice!

Cannot say enough about this place We made a 9 hour trip in the midst of 2 major storm systems to the area to pick up our puppy and this place was so beyond helpful in this. They let us check in almost 12 hours early! The room is smaller but this is exactly what we needed for this trip. Just a place to crash and rest up! The bed was super comfortable. Shelby even made sure we had the furthest room upstairs so we could get some sound sleep during the day I spoke to both the owner and Shelby during our visit and they are the nicest people. If we ever make our way back through, without a question, we will be booking here again We now have our puppy and couldn't be happier

We were in town to see family. This was closer than Cape Girardeau and the same price. The rooms were nice for a small town hotel. The lobby is nicely done, and the restaurant is like stepping back 50 years, pretty cool. The beds were actually really comfortable to us. I would have like to have had some hot chocolate or apple cider for keurig style coffee maker.

We were in Marble Hill for a little day getaway with some great friends of ours. They had eaten at EC several months ago and recommended we go there because they remember it being quite tasty. The looks of the place were awesome. Old school building on the main strip of town. The inside has been renovated/restored to look like an old mercantile shop and also like an old school soda fountain bar. Now back to the food. I had the Club Sub sandwich and it was extremely good. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that she said she enjoyed immensely and our friends both had the chicken salad sandwich. They both said that it was great and they would order it again for sure. I apologize for not taking any pictures of the building. We have already said that we will make plans to go back and stay at the hotel. I will get plenty of pictures then. Thank you

We stayed there the 2nd week of November 2023. We found it clean, friendly and very comfortable. The owners and staff are very helpful. The hotel successfully integrates the old with the new when it comes to decorations. Their Lunchenette serves the best food in town and the old style soda shop brought back memories of some good times. Beautifully decorated for Christmas now.

Really beautiful place! Christy was a great hostess, very accommodating and helpful. Cookies and coffee when you check in (or whenever you want)! I had room number 5, which I thought was so cute - I liked the wall art, it had some interesting furnishings, and it just made me smile when I walked in. My brother had a bigger room, #2, and he was equally pleased. Memory foam mattress, good water pressure and towels, clean, lots of electrical outlets - hard to ask for much more. FYI, the hotel is on a corner with a stop sign, and the odd number rooms are more exposed to that, so there is a bit of street noise, but once I started running the wall unit, I didn’t hear it at all. Also, there’s only street parking, but that was fine with me. Good value, and certainly a place I would stay again!

Had lunch there with husband and friends. The food was delicious, and the management and staff were very friendly and interactive—sharing the history of the building and surrounding stories. They even let my husband and I peek in two unoccupied hotel rooms. We already plan to go again

Had lunch here today with some friends. The tiny cafe is adorable and the food and service excellent. I had a BLT and it was one of the best I’ve had. They didn’t skimp on anything. Their homemade lemonade was delicious. Update: We went back the next day for dessert. OMG! I had the pumpkin cheesecake and it rocked!

My boyfriend and I rented a room here for a weekend away for a wedding. Very clean, and decorated adorably! My only complaint is the mattress protector was very hot. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. Easy to find.

Live in the area, so have never stayed in the hotel. Have ate there a few times, always great food. Above the food, is the amazing service. We have three daughters and they are a handful. Today our daughter was complaining that her four leafed clover looked sick. She received a bowl of water to make it feel better. Awesome place, with awesome service!

I stopped in for their lunch. Did not stay at the hotel. Although I can say I would like to possibly stay there sometime. I wanted to say how wonderful the cheesecake is. It was one of the best cheesecake I have ever had!! Worth the drive just for the cheesecake!!

We did not stay in the hotel but had lunch in the mercantile. Service was amazing. My chicken salad was so good along with the old fashion soda. I wish I could give 10 stars. The made in house waffle cone with chocolate ice cream was our #1 favorite. Thanks to the man working at Munchies for recommending we go here. Don’t sleep on this place it is a jewel. The entrance is through the hotel lobby.

My wife and I stayed here on March 30th and we were very impressed! We’ve stayed in literally hundreds of chain hotels but never a family owned and operated type accommodation. It was so refreshing to walk into a place that you could immediately tell was very well taken care of. The owners were super nice people and you could tell they worked hard at making sure their hotel was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities that made for a great stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Quiet litte place with awesome country charm. Newly renovated, exceptionally clean. Comfortable beds. Hostess/Manager is one of the most polite, respectful people I've ever dealt with. Bends over backwards to make sure everyone has a pleasant experience. Definitely a wonderful place to stay.

My partner and I made an unplanned stop here as we were passing through town on a road trip, what a gem of a hotel. We have absolutely nothing negative to say, lovely staff and great service, complementary snacks and coffee (with the convenience of some additional items for purchase, eg soft drink), comfortable and clean rooms. The cafe due to be opened down the track will be a great addition for grabbing some breakfast. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

My Husband and I enjoyed our stay at the quant little place. The room was adorable, clean and comfortable. Fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls for breakfast and good coffee. Shelby is just the best. Thank you for making us feel welcome!
