Got there before their closing time and was told they were closed (after I weighed in). They need to change their hours of operation if they’re not gonna stay open when they are supposed to be open.
Only went there cause it was closer to Olive branch and hauled off two front load washers with pedestals 42 inch craftsman riding mower and a refrigerator and for some reason they gave me the Bulk price did they pay for cars and tin which was the lowest $0.31 And then ticket only said 700 pounds. I’m not a human scale or a regular scrap metal guy but I know two front load washers with pedestals refrigerator and a 42 inch craftsman riding lawnmower weighs far more than 700 pounds. And I’m not even going to get started on the operator who completely bent one of my side rails on my trailer and my weedeater rack trying to knock the riding mower off instead of just using the magnet so I went home with a check, not cash and it was only $41 and the closest Wells Fargo is on the other side of Southaven or other side of Memphis. I guess you can do what you want and charge what you want even if it’s at your customers expense when you’re the only scrapyard in that area around here will definitely be taking a few extra miles going to Memphis from now on.
Martin Brothers is a good place to take your scrap metal when you’re cleaning up your place for the Spring and Summer. It is close by and really accessible. So do your spring cleaning and think about Martin Brothers as a good place to make money after you clean up your place and make it look good
They close earlier than the website says and I just asked why and they were very rude and said they can’t help that and told me I should have made it there on time. So they close at 3:30pm or whenever they feel like it
Not being familiar with how to get the most out of my scarp the kind folks there gave me some pointers , the place was busy but the line moved quick and I got a little over $500 for my two truck loads of cleaning up my yard ..cool place, cool people
They have a pretty organized system, if you have bulk scrap metal they unload it for you with a giant magnet or claw but, it was not very clear what to do when I arrived. Once I figured out where to take my scrap it was a good experience.
