No signatures are collected during a tow during an accident. Fee notifications are sent out post dated. Tow company expects a 16 year old driver to know what is going on when he was rear-ended? Cmon... do better.
The girl on the phone seemed wildly under-trained. Didn't even know if signatures are collected during an accident, or if anything authorizing the tow fee and daily storage rates was given to the driver. Tried to make a payment (today, april 13th for posterity) and the girl would not accept payment from my wife (owner). Unfortunately, not an ideal outcome, but could be improved with more rigorous training (hence 2 stars). The last thing anyone wants to do after a crash is get given a bill and then not be able to stop the accumulation... do better. Train better.
I hit a pot hole today (2/15/23) in St Paul and bent 2 wheels. Called up TCTR and not only was the staff very friendly but they were extremely helpful! The driver showed up quickly and he was a very nice guy plus he saved the day! I'm thankful for this company and their employees, they do an amazing job! If I ever need to be towed again I will definitely be calling them first, I highly recommend using them!
The guy was really rude with me and my dad. He was basically screaming at us. I really didn’t care how much I’ll be paying but I care about the how disrespectful he was. When he changed my tire he threw everything next to my car and when I asked him to put everything back the way it was he said it’s not my job. I couldn’t do it since I’m pregnant. My father was struggling to do it and I can’t help him. I will never use this service again.
I broke down in my tow truck with a car on my flat bed at I-35 W and 494 in Minneapolis at the worst possible place on the off ramp, the driver showed up asap I believe his name was Mike? He has been doing this a long time he said. It was obvious he has because he was calm , professional, and was just a great guy. Nice enough people, horrible communication. Originally the job was estimated to be $125 plus tax. Truck Driver came within 30 minutes to assess to see whether he would be able to recover my vehicle, upon inspection he said that he would get back to me as soon as he and the company were done assessing the environment. Never received a call back. Still stuck. 30 minutes after another man walks up who I presumed to be with the towing company informs me that the original driver had gotten his truck stuck. I asked the man about any details of what was going to happen and more importantly how much everything was going to cost. I never received a call about cost or confirmation of planning or anything. Hours pass no calls so I call the company for any information the lady on the phone tells me that the estimated price would be $150 an hour and that that would be priced starting upon arrival which I presumed to be when the truck actually go there. 3 hours after my original call with absolutely no calls back I see a bobcat through the trees and presume that finally I would be unstuck. Two trucks and three men when I get there when the bobcat got there it took less than an hour to get my car out. Not until I meet the company in the parking lot am I informed of the price totaling $1500. I never received a call for any information or confirmation of any plan. I am thankful to be out of the predicament that I was in but nonetheless felt somewhat trapped into an expensive plan. If there was active communication I would not be as irate as I am however because of the lack of communication the entire situation has left a sour taste. The people are nice but it does not excuse the lack of proper business practice and poor communication.
While other towing businesses were quoting me at unreasonable prices and days out for an ETA. Twin Cities Towing Services kept the quote fair and we’re able to pick up and drop off in the very same evening within hours of the initial call. The driver was extremely professional and cautious when it came to low hanging power lines in our neighborhood as my truck had been sitting for a few weeks and collecting snow from the recent Minnesota storms. I highly recommend this business for commercial vehicle towing services here in the twin cities and surrounding areas.
Honestly the best service I’ve ever had from a tow service. They were polite and professional on each call. And speaking of calls, they handled everything over the phone so I didn’t need to wait with my vehicle. I drive an EV so I needed a flat bed truck which they proactively offered. The driver who called me to remote start my car was super friendly and I saw through the security camera he was extremely careful even when I wasn’t present. I won’t hesitate to use these guys again because they made a stressful situation as stress-free as they could.
Their Staff is rude…Not helpful, will take you in circles instead of clearly explaining what they need from you to get your vehicle back ! DONT BE FOOLED their main GOAL is to sell your vehicle weather you like it or Not and make profit from other people’s belonging!
Awesome service. They were quick, honest, and great to work. I know nothing about cars so I find anything related to them intimidating. The tow truck driver was really kind and quickly helped me. He even gave me advice on what my options were with 2 flat tires. I could tell he wasn’t trying to just get my money, he was truly helping. I highly recommend this company.
I've been communicating for days with them about my car I come in the lady at the front desk I speak I say hello she doesn't say anything back then becomes condescending and ask what can she do for me I said well I'm obviously here about a car she didn't decides to ask me why I have an attitude I have an attitude but when I spoke to you you did not speak what type of business is this is this the 1950s please put people in your establishment that are going to be courteous and respectable to people.
The tow was on-time, however, the tow truck driver left the key turned in my car while hooking it up and towing it, killing my car battery. When we arrived to the destination (Discount Tire), the tow driver left my car in the middle of the parking lot and then took off without telling me the battery was dead. The driver had to have known it was dead because he was in the car, preparing to back it into a spot, but took off once the payment had processed. Luckily the wonderful staff at Discount Tire were happy to help me jump my car, but this lack of communication from the driver was super annoying and unprofessional. The tow was also over $200, for a 2.5 mile ride, way more than estimated.
One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
First person I talked to (11:15), told me I could come pick up my car today (Sunday).
Calling to confirm since they have no hours posted on their Google. Second person proceeds to tell me that there is a $50 fee for every day the car is there and they closed at 11am. Then proceeds to be rude when asking why I was told I could come today to get my car.
I would NEVER use this company for any outside referrals and will be telling others about my experience.
If your car gets brought here good luck.
Worst place to get your car out of the lot. They’re only open 2 hours on Saturday and they have very rude staff waited over 3 hours to get my car out and then the driver was calling a senior citizen with profanity
They were so great! Had to pick up my motorcycle after my husband's accident and they were absolutely top notch especially in my state of mind. They took their time making sure it was safely transported and to not have any more damage and answered all my questions the best they could to help me feel better. I would definitely recommend them!
Everyone I talked to was helpful. Mark, took my call. He was polite, reassuring and communicated the timing and estimated cost. Craig, the tow truck driver came very quickly, was careful with my car. He is really nice and double checked all the info about the tow. He explained where he would drop me off and then deliver the car for service.
Wouldn’t let me get my car because the registration card was expired my title should be in the mail any day but I had insurance plus the money and a proper id and they still wouldn’t let me get my car out. They close at 5 mind you i got there at 4:30. I couldn’t make back in time so they added another $50 to my account. Which I didn’t understand if I showed that I was the owner to my car. Came back the next morning only for them to say my car was there two days which is a lie but according to them it was. They told my guy it was $230 at first but when we got there it was $347, and we got there as soon as they opened smh
Excellent service by the driver taking car not to damage anything while pulling up on flatbed. He also called me back to tell me when car was dropped off at dealer for repair. Awesome company would use them again if needed.

Possibly the worst experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m talking about every business combined that I’ve ever gone through. We first called to let them know we were here, and they said that they would be opening up the gate for us to be entered in, and once we entered, the lady at Crystal was full on yelling at us like I’ve never heard before. I actually thought she was joking at first, because of how loud she was yelling. It was literally such an insane experience. When she finally got out, she was still yelling at us. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. We then went in and the amount of trouble we had to go through for over six hours just to get our car back after being in a car accident was mind blowing. I could never recommend to not go to this place more than anything. Someone then came in and had the same exact issue that we were having in the way that she sat there, laughing at us, as if it was some type of a joke was absolutely insane. At the scene of the accident the tow driver told us that if we brought it to our house or any other location of choice, we would need to pay upfront, but if we were to bring it to their tow lot, then we would not need to pay and that the cause or of our accident we need to, but once we went there to talk to them, the lady said that the tow driver gave us the wrong information and that was his fault. Later once the tow driver came in, he all he said was sorry, and that we would still need to pay extra to have it brought to our house after. I don’t know what they don’t understand when we said that obviously we would’ve had it dropped off to her house in the first place if we have to pay either way, but it was obviously some type of joke to them, and they put their business first. Incredibly disgusted
Tow truck driver was great. Every other aspect of this experience was terrible. 2,5 hour wait was the worst. Was told 15/20 minutes several times including my first call when I agreed to hire them. Given multiple excuses and call center had incorrect address for my location. overall one of the worst customer experiences you could possibly deliver. Staff was disrespectful and belligerent. If your business model depends on out right lying to customers so you can maximize your profit then you are a despicable company.
Devon did a great job and very personable and even looked under hood to check connections etc for battery because car wouldn’t start. I was able to get a tow within an hour of calling so appreciated prompt service. I would refer Twin Cities Towing to others
The person who picked up my car was very observant when he was putting my car on the truck. With all the ice and snow, he inched up the car up onto the truck and used wedges to make sure there was no damage, considering the uneven surface.
It may seem like something I should just expect, but in this day and age integrity seems to be missing in the work ethic.
I appreciated the work done and the conversation I had with the driver.
They only downside to the experience was having to wait a day and a half for the tow I expected with in 4 hours, but under the circumstance… I get it. I don’t like it, but I get it.
This place was recommended by our auto service shop and it did not disappoint!!! Wonderful communication and staying on top of the job and eta. They basically rescued our pickup from having in a parking ramp for an extended period of time. Great work and completely appropriate prices. This company was a breath of fresh air!!! Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
