Do I have any remorse for taking my vehicles to Auto Edge. I do not. I had two vehicles repaired last week. The first vehicle, the repair cost less than $1000.00 which is fine. The 2nd vehicle Auto Edge tapped me for about $5400.00. That stung. However, the reason I take my vehicles to Auto Edge is because I trust them, which is not an easy thing to say when it comes to auto repair. In fairness to Auto Edge, the part that needed replacing was in a difficult spot on the engine and the part was expensive in itself. Post repair I picked my car up and it ran great. Their repair software sent me an email of things that needed fixing and I checked the boxes on the things I could not do, the other repairs I could do myself. No pressure, just "here's what needs doing, tell us what you want done". I'm a VW guy since 1994. I've been an Auto Edge guy for at least 10 years.
My first (but not last ) time here. Dan listened carefully to me and took notes. They have an excellent report system with photos and thorough findings.
I recently had an alignment and corner balance done here, and I couldn’t be happier with both the experience and the results.
Their attention to detail really stood out, especially during the corner balancing process. They swapped over to my track tires, and removed the endlinks prior to corner balancing. That’s textbook procedure, but surprisingly, a lot of shops around Minnesota don’t bother doing it. It showed they understand the correct methodology and aren’t cutting corners. The final rake and calculated weights came out exactly where I wanted them, and the car now feels incredibly composed and predictable.
They were also very straightforward and honest throughout the entire process. Their customer service was excellent, and they took the time to openly share their knowledge and explain what they were doing and why. That level of transparency and willingness to educate the customer is rare.
It’s clear they take pride in doing things the right way.
My experience at Auto Edge has been nothing short of exceptional! My daughter‘s car is a 2012, and as you can imagine there is wear and tear that happens on a 14 year old vehicle. Last summer I had a very one off situation where the car was vandalized, and someone stole parts off the vehicle which left us stranded. Needless to say during this one off situation, I worked with Hunter and he we went above and beyond to help figure out the solution. More recently, her car kept stalling and we realized we needed a replacement part. The turnaround time to fix this recent issue is much appreciated! I have chatted with other team members there, and they’ve always been helpful and professional. Repair work on any vehicle is expensive, but I feel they’ve always been fair and most importantly honest along the way. Thank you!

My family always used Auto Edge for all of our vehicles and they have always gotten us in right away. My new car is still under warranty so I havent been in for a few years - but today, I desperately needed my battery charged and they found the time to charge it when no one else could. So grateful that they are local!
Hunter patiently explained everything to us as my daughter and I knew very little about the car. We had a $3000 estimate at another garage which Auto edge did for $170 just because they knew the car that well. They gave us detailed explanations about all work they recommended with pictures and a scale of how urgent the work was. Great experience even though fixing your car is never fun to
I drove my car to Auto Edge with my muffler hanging by a thread. I did not have an appointment, but they looked at my car immediately and took it in right away. They gave me a ride home and my car was fixed within three days. It drives like a new car!
I have been to AE several times, for minor maintenance and more serious mechanical work. They communicate well, keeping me apprised of the work and have done a good job every time.

I bring all my Audis and previously my Porsche Cayenne here. Dan and team are always professional, use OEM parts, well trained and get every and any job done correctly. Their pricing is very fair. I was recently excited that they hired an Audi certified mechanic, Jacob, who is awesome and very knowledgeable. Dan and team run a tight ship and the garage is always very clean and organized. I highly recommend them for any repairs or maintenance, especially VAG products!

Been an Auto Edge Porsche customer since they opened - 35 yrs ago - and drive a long way to use them. Now my kids use them for their non Porsche cars too. I have high expectations and have never been disappointed.
Auto Edge has been our go-to for all of our cars for over 30 years! now. They are incredibly knowledgeable and I have so much trust in what they recommend. They do a great job of stating what they see, what's needed now, and what can just be monitored.
Service and communication were excellent. Tracked down an issue other shops struggled to diagnose. Probably the only remaining place in town you can trust with an aircooled 911.
I have an older Porsche 911 that hasn’t been running properly for months. I finally brought it into auto edge, and they diagnose the problem and completed the necessary repairs in a timely fashion. The car runs like it’s brand new. In addition, Dan and his team kept in constant communication with me, letting me know if the status of the repairs. Great work, fair prices. I would highly recommend.
I trust Auto Edge completely, and wouldn’t bring my cars anywhere else. I have used them for both air cooled and modern and they have never let me down. Most recently, I had a strange problem that would have likely been a $25-35k issue at the dealership, but their encyclopedic knowledge, spot-on troubleshooting and network of contacts across the globe saw my problem fixed with a fairly simple solution. They are just so good.

We recently moved to the area from WI. I had to drive 6 hours back to WI for a family event and my back taillight went out. I didn’t want to make the trip with a broken tail light so I stopped here to see if they could help. Not only did a service guy quickly fix it for me, but they also didn’t charge me and said, “Welcome to the neighborhood.” I definitely felt welcome, and thank you for looking out for your neighbors! I’ve worked with the Auto Edge team for several projects on my 1974 911. The projects have scaled from standard oil changes to an entire engine and transmission rebuild. What I’ve enjoyed most while working with Dan and his team is the responsiveness, the honesty, the expertise and the commitment to fixing things the right way. They were highly recommended when I purchased the car and I haven’t been disappointed. If you own an air cooled 911, I don’t think you can find a better partner to keep your car in excellent running condition so you can enjoy the drive.
I bought my 92 Corvette new so I've had it aligned many times over the years. I had it 4 wheel aligned to OEM specs a year ago. It cost $245 flat rate and took 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete. I was able to wait on a couch in the waiting area. This year I thought I'd try another shop with some very slight camber adjustments. I made an appt. with Auto Edge 2 weeks in advance for an appt. at 7:45AM, I live 40 miles away and was told I could wait. I arrived on time. While the atmosphere of the shop was nice there was virtually nowhere to sit and wait so they directed me to walk half a block up the road to a Caribou to wait. After waiting at Caribou(3 hrs), sitting on the curb outside the shop(1.5hrs) and walking the neighborhood(1.5hrs) until my phone was dead, my car was finally done after 6.5 hours!!! They told me it would be $375 and that they were being "kind" enough to stick to that when normally they charge $120/hr rate because I requested "custom" settings. The only thing I requested was a -.5' camber on all 4 tires instead of the stock 0'. No changes to caster or toe, virtually stock settings. To even consider charging a customer $120/hr for a 4 wheel alignment, with near factory settings, because your technician takes 6.5 hours and doesn't know what he's doing is ridiculous!! That would've been over $700 for a 4 wheel alignment to near factory specs!!! And after he got the camber correct the caster was off!! As I said I've owned this vehicle for 33 years and a lot of alignments. I made an appt. 2 weeks in advance, waited better than 6 hours with nowhere to sit and then they tried to tell me it could've been over $700 because the tech is inexperienced. This is the most assanine thing I've ever experienced at a shop in my 40+ years of driving!! I will never go back there and I will make sure nobody I know does either.
I have been using AutoEdge exclusively to take care of my cars for years and it’s one area of my life that I don’t need to worry about. They are honest, keep my car in great shape so it is safe and lasts longer, and treat me like I have a brain! Customer service is excellent, as are the mechanics.
I had a challenging problem with cracked AC evaporator leaking into our vehicle. Auto Edge researched options and provided a lower cost option that fixed the issue. They are a very knowledgeable team who is also honest. Highly recommend!
2nd visit to Dan and Auto Edge was during the late Jan 25 /-18 degree days. Live in KS, was to travel home. Audi Dealers were swamped, Dan took my car in and worked on it same day, got us on the road the next. He has since followed up with me on some other needed repairs now that I’m back in KS. Quality team, straight shooters. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
I recently moved to Minnesota and needed to get a coolant flush for my Audi Q5. I scheduled an appointment online and shortly afterwards received a call from Chris confirming my appointment and the service that was needed. The guys at Auto edge were so friendly and professional and I was extra impressed with the complimentary vehicle inspection for first time clients. I bought my car used so it gave me some peace of mind to have a second opinion on the condition of my vehicle. Their communication was on point, they didn't try to sell me on any services I didn't need, and they were straightforward with pricing from the beginning. Was having an issue with my G Wagon hood closing. I called Dan at Auto Edge and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. Hunter was able to assess the problem in a very timely manner and had me back on the road. Can't say enough good things about what real customer service should look like. Just had the clutch on my 911 replaced here. They were able to squeeze my repair in on late notice before a road trip and were extremely communicative though the process, also sharing pictures along the way. Also, the final bill was less than the original quote after they realized that some of the work didn't need to be done after they dug into the repair. This is the most expert and trust-inspiring shop I've ever worked with and Dan was great to deal with. Car now drives like new again & I'm looking forward to working with them again.
I’ll add my experience to the litany of good reviews for Auto Edge. My 2013 911, out of the blue, presented a number of PDK transmission errors. I had it towed to Auto Edge, knowing that any Porsche dealer would replace the entire PDK at a cost north of $20,000. Auto Edge was willing to do a repair which few shops would undertake, and they did a great job of replacing the speed and distance sensors inside the PDK, for about a third of what an entire replacement transmission would have cost (parts, labor, fluids, and alignment, all in), plus a couple additional bullet-proofing additions.
No, it wasn’t cheap. But the communication was great throughout, the work was done right, and it beat the heck out of the alternative.
