We towed a tandem truck in that we use for snow removal with a full load of snow on Wednesday 2/12/25 because it quit running so of course the load cannot be dumped. The shop foreman said they would get it in the next day. Stopped in on Friday the 14th and it was still sitting outside and all we got was excuses about why they hadn't gotten to it. They then told me they would get it in first thing Monday the 17th. No word from them on Monday so called at 3:30 and they still did not have it in the shop. Newest excuse was that several other trucks came in that needed repairs. Seriously!! So now it has been 5 days of lost revenue because they don't want to bring it in loaded with snow. If there were any other truck shops in Virginia Mn
that is where we would take our business. Sucks for us. I guess they don't care that we are losing our income.
The parts guy "Chris" absolutely top notch!! He was able to get me a part that I couldn't get within 3 days anywhere else. Plus 70% less than what others were charging!! Erik from Taconite Tire...thanks for the suggestion!!

Will and the team at Mid-state did a great job helping us out with an unexpected transmission cooler failure in our RV while on vacation in the area. We talked to them late in the afternoon on a Wednesday and were able to get our RV towed in at closing time by Cars Towing out of Cloquet (who also did a great job). Will got it into the shop first thing on Thursday and diagnosed/ordered the parts. They got us back on the road Friday, including power washing and degreasing most of the coach which was covered in transmission fluid when it arrived. I highly recommend them and am even considering using them for ongoing maintenance as we have yet to find a shop that is as good in the Twin Cities.
The experience i had there was better than the experience that brought me there in the first place. Parts and Service staff have always treated me well.
