I had a terrible experience with Armory Shell. My truck broke down in Virginia at around 4:45PM, and I had the tow truck dispatched around 5. I talked to someone at Armory Shell after they got dispatched, and they said that they weren’t going to pick up the truck until the morning, even though they advertise 24 hour towing services. They also wanted me to leave my truck unlocked with the keys inside all night in a very busy part of Virginia. Overall, they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I’ll be doing everything in my power to not have to use Armory Shell ever again.

Service was way faster than expected. The driver, Tyler, was an absolute rock star! Super polite and gave me tips he didn't have to to help me in the future. 10/10 service.

Joe and the Armory Shell crew helped get our 2015 Explorer diagnosed, fixed, and safely back on the road in a timely manner. On a higher dollar item they did have me get a second opinion before fixing and it was 100% what they suspected. Hats off to Joe and the crew at Armory Shell.

Armory Shell Towing is a great local business and resource. Armory was speedy and prompt and professional in towing my vehicle in the middle of winter 2 years ago. When my equinox engine blew up. I have had oil changes from them fairly priced. My latest experience with Armory I had a leak in my tire. I was continuously filling with air when I called another local business. They told me it was a 2 week wait. I travel a lot with my child and didn't feel great about the wait. When I talked to Joe, he got me in withing 2 hours, and it was fixed within 20 minutes. Armory cares about there customers Safety. Highly recommend.

They were busy on Friday working on accident scenes but got us towed first thing Monday morning. Had our van in the shop all day but couldn’t diagnose the problem. They towed us to another garage that has better capability to find our problem. Giving them 4 stars for customer service and effort.

Had a broken rim/tire and called for a tow, 300$ and 5 days later All they did was put MY donut from MY trunk on my car. Still have to go buy a new tire and find someone else to put it on. They also stole all the cash out of my car.

Told me they were sending a guy to give me a pull out of the ditch. I turned down help from others because I had asked Armory. An hour later I called back and was told they weren’t coming because they had another job they got called out to do.

I would not recommend using this company you and your vehicle will not be safe they hire unsafe drivers that have consistently lost their license and speed through small townships at 40 to 50 mph in an area that 10 is to fast their driver Todd Katzenberger has almost hit my vehicles and my children at least 3 times in the tow truck and he just started there use at your own risk people

I got stranded at ash river visitor center and was in a bit of a bad situation. Bob from Armory Shell towing came and really saved the day, it was about 32 degrees and if it weren't for they're help I would have had to call emergency services. While being towed, Bob told me about all the trucks they have and some of the wild situations they've getting vehicle unstuck from. If your vehicles stuck, even in the worst position, I would assume its a cake walk for these guys.

Labor day weekend. Ran out of gas and a flat at the same time. Called armory and Patrick was ther in less than 30 min, super polite and a great person, thumbs up to you guys and give Patrick a atta boy. Thanks guys

From call in to unlocked in 21 min. Quick - professional - and way cheeper than the original person we attempted to get to help - 2017 dodge ram - we locked keys in car.

I was traveling alone pulling my camper when my driver side back wheel came off! They towed me, my truck and my camper. They dug right in getting parts and we’re able to fix it same day!!! This allowed me to meet my friends. When I passed through on the way home they tightened lugs on my truck and camper and of my 2 friends! THEY WERE AWESOME!! So was the cop and State trooper who assisted me also.There are nice people in the world!!

Peter, a young 22 year old man, came to help me last night with a blowout. He called me the second I put in the claim to my insurance. And he arrived within 15 minutes. I was out by the railroad tracks by hwy7 heading from Eveleth to Mt iron. He was very friendly, courteous, and even gave me a few pointers!! Thank you so much for your help! I found myself with a stuck truck and called Armory. Very friendly phone service, and they were already setup to receive text images of the vehicle placement. They said come stop in and there was a wrecker operator ready to leave in 5 minutes. My friend and I followed Cody to my truck and with very gentle, surgical precision, my truck was pulled back to safety. Cody was very professional and could accept a CC payment right in the field. Marking Armory as a favorite...just in case!

Armory towing was called to tow my vehicle from the lot for snow removal. They towed it about 1 mile and charged me 265.00 dollars.I thought I'd was outrageously high. They only took cash no cards which made it a pain because it meant I had to walk another 1/2 mile. They did release and even jump my vehicle when I was getting it out. Storage fee was an HR additional 45 dollars a day. They make plenty of of money for me the service they run in my opinion.

There fast and get the job done very nice! Glenn was here to help get my car jumped and has towed me to have it fixed before he was very friendly! Great company!

My jeep got a flat tire in my driveway and I could not get the last lugnut off for the life of me, I emailed armory and they responded right away , I called and Paul(I think his name was) was super nice and let me know he could send a service guy to my house to get my tires changed out for me, he sent one of the service guys out (I believe his name started with an M I feel bad I can’t remember ) and he was also super nice and got my tire taken care of for me, it was fast and efficient and it may not seem like much but being a single mom who works full time this honestly took a weight off my chest. Thank you so much!

While on our RV trip we blew out a tire. We called AAA and they sent us Armory Shell and Towing. Cody and Glen arrived in a timely manner and changed our tire and sent us on our way. Within the next 10 miles, our spare tire failed us!!! We called them back and they towed us back to their shop. They also sent a truck so our whole family could make it back to their shop safely. Since it was a Saturday, late in the afternoon, we “camped” in the lot until we could get new tires on Monday. Although our trip didn’t go as planned, they helped us out tremendously!!

Not sure how they don't have a 5 star rating. They did great work on the suspension work I needed. I know because I got down and checked when I got it back, and I waited a couple of months before leaving a review. Also, they gave me a damn good deal for the work I had done. A friend told me to trust them, and I was glad I did. Thanks guys.

We broke down and needed towing and repairs. We could not be happier that Armory Shell was able to help us get our car back on the road! Everyone was very helpful and the price was fair.

We needed some emergency repairs while travelling, and they knew we were in a bind. They got the parts delivered and installed the same day we brought it in. They also identified and completed additional emergency repairs that were necessary, and replaced rusty bolts that a previous repair at a different shop should have covered. When we returned the vehicle to the person we borrowed it from, he confirmed knowing the repairs were needed, and said he had received quotes in the past on all the work we had performed. He was quoted higher than Armory charged us, and that was before it was an emergency stranded situation. Can't thank the team at Armory enough for the work they did, and the price they gave us just to make sure an unsafe situation was not out on the road.

I am forever thankful for Armory towing! We were stuck on the side of the road with our 2 young children (in the rain, of course). We were picked up very quickly and our driver kindly took us further than originally anticipated. The whole process was very efficient and easy. The price was more than fair. I would highly recommend them. We would still be on the side of the road if it weren’t for Joe! I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

Charged me $45 for resetting my check engine light(that i told them exactly what caused it), and its not like i could go anywhere else due to limp mode. Rip off. I paid less for my own portable scan tool.

These guys were incredible. We had an engine problem about 10 miles north of Virginia on a holiday, they came out and not only got us off the highway but helped with a rental to tow our boat back to Illinois. I can't say enough about what good folks they have there. Thanks guys, I hope you enjoyed the fish!

A couple of years ago, yes I know I am a little late with this. I was so touched by the effort that Paul and his crew made on our behalf that I really wanted to write a letter personally. I decided this might be better. I sure hope Paul sees it. Let him know if you do. I traveled from Florida to take my daughters, 14 and 15, on our annual fishing trip to Canada. This year was particularly important to us because I had been away from them for almost a year. Our truck broke down late Saturday night in Virginia. We had been traveling from Wisconsin. We found a hotel and on Sunday morning hoping for the best we went looking for some help in getting it repaired. WE FOUND THE BEST! The repair job was more complex than first was thought and the Sunday staff called the boss for advice. Paul came in on his own time, called in some favors over three hours and got us on the road and saved our vacation. It turned out that a brake line from the read wheel to the front of the truck had sprung a leak. Not good when towing a fiberglass boat. Paul had to all but fabricate a line even with the materials he managed to get from a supplier. Most would not have been successful. I would have paid anything to save our trip and I am pretty sure they knew that. But he charged me what I felt was a very very fair price, in fact I had to ask why it was not more. His answer was that was what they charge for the services rendered. Paul you saved our vacation and helped us enjoy a treasured week. I want you to know that you made a difference in the lives of someone you had never met before. I have thought about how you gave up your time on that Sunday afternoon many times. Thank you from the three of us. I only had one issue.... both my daughters out fished me as you can see from the photos. (-:

We are so lucky that we found Armory Shell on a google search for RV Repairs. Dean was super kind and understanding when we called for repair of our motorhome’s airbag. Since we were on vacation and had reservations to keep, Dean understood and squeezed us in for evaluation. Since they didn’t have the part in stock, Dean called us as promised with the bad news that we would have to wait almost a week for the part. Since we had to be home in less than a week, we drove to Duluth to get the part and Armory Shell fit us in with a 1:00 appointment the next day. Leroy and team did a super quick job with the repairs and we were on our way in less than an hour and a half. To say that Dean and Leroy and team were our heroes would be an understatement. They saved our and our fellow travelers’ vacation. My husband, who works on cars himself was amazed that this kind of auto shop even existed anymore. All the mechanics were busy at work and very professional. The price was very reasonable and we couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks again to Armory Shell for coming to our rescue when no one else would!

We hit a deer at midnight on sunday. Armory had to tow the vehicle due to extent of the damage (almost totaled). Armory Shell and my insurance worked together to get me back on the road to Texas. The body shop was professional in their workmanship with our vehicle, insurance company and my family. They kept us informed of the progress daily and where able to get the vehicle done when promised (Parts ordered on Tuesday and completed Friday). The paint and body work was great. No troubles with the drive home. I would not change a thing about the experience other than not had the accident in the first place. If we ever have a problem again around the Lake Vermillion area, they will be called.
