Employees have been much better when checking out vehicles here both times I have stopped by, but cars have been hit and made me realize gotta stop buying here

It's an auction car auction place and my friend who owns a car lot buys cars there and I go pick them up and drive them to his lot almost every Friday. It's a good time seeing as how I am bored. Mostly. Retired.
Never forget how a Manheim auction is no different than the sleeze bag retail dealership. Oh, they will promise you the moon to get the deal done, but look behind the thinly veiled "Cox Automotive" facade and you will see the same chop shop. Hidden final fees, backroom handshake deals with "power sellers (or buyers)" that only favor America's biggest privately held company and their buddies. The rest of us are left high and dry. Kill the independents. Become the Blackrock of the automotive world, Cox. America needs you to move this dystopian agenda along. Good riddance.

If your looking for a van don’t plan on it being there to test drive before the sale. They are constantly in the cleanup shop until the last minute been that way for a few years and only getting worse. Not like they haven’t been sitting in the lot waiting to get cleaned for weeks!
Auctions are auctions, however, do to Staffing and management of this organization ....makes it a pleasure to visit whatever the occasion. Wonderful personnel?????

I have purchased from Manheims all over the US and have only had a few issues, only one other worth posting a review due to the situation being completely their fault and them not owning up to their mistake.
I purchased a 2014 Yamaha AR192 boat from their "specialty" sale. Typically, as know, these sales are AS-IS which makes complete sense when information is correct.
Long story short, the boat was represented as having 118 HOURS, lake tested and good to go. The keys were no where to be found to be able to confirm this nor was an agent willing to help. I purchased it blind only knowing the information that was hand typed into the notes by Manheim that was produced by the seller. After paying and completing the purchase, now everyone knows where the keys are and are willing to help. Well, I got the boat out on the water and it has a pretty noticeable rod knock. I Brough it in to the nearest Yamaha dealer, which was over 2 hours away, and they confirmed not only did they rig up the boat to run for a short period of time, but the hours were over DOUBLE stated.
How does a large company stand behind information that is incorrect to bring more money? Why would any business run this way of basically committing fraud? They told me I can bring in any specialty vehicle and completely lie about the information to bring a higher dollar amount and there is nothing anyone can do about. How is this ethical? It's not.
Hope this can help someone when buying anything from Manheim.. they have been very good for years to me and I have purchased hundreds of vehicles from them. This just makes no sense and am hoping to find a resolution or bring my business to Adesa or another major auction.
Went in to get some information since it’s my first time on planning to attend auctions and spoke to a lady named “Georgia” and she was really rude! She made me feel dumb and gave me so much attitude! I didn’t even get the information I was looking for.
Joe said he is a dealer there and he is not. It is a auction place for car dealers no poeple who are looking for a vehicle. Joe trying to sell cars on offer up and said his address was at manheim. He don't even work there. I called him more then 15 times with no answer. The place was trying to call him and no answer. They were saying it fine for him to sell this way everybody sells like this.
Spoke to a girl named "Georgia" and she was very rude over the phone. Was very snappy with me and had a big attitude. She had no idea what I was calling about and made me feel stupid about my call. Then I talked to a girl named Jenny and she was very helpful with my call and was very nice over the phone.
