Team at the Belle Plaine Foline is exceptional at what they do. I have always dealt with Chris Stai when it comes to setting up appointments. Nothing is an inconvenience for him and the Team. Costumer service has become a lost art in todays world of technology, and I am happy to say they have not followed that path. Will be going back for future services for years to come!

We showed up unannounced and Sam set aside time to help us and go through the issues our car was facing, fixed it, explained it all, and did it all for free. Could not recommend him more. Very straightforward, honest, and incredibly kind.

Abby was extremely communicative and helpful when explaining the issues with a vehicle that I brought in for service. I have major trust issues after being done dirty by another mechanic but this place was such a breath of fresh air. Sam was also very kind and although my interaction was short you can tell he works hard. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone who does the job right and is trustworthy.
Foline is fantastic! The exhaust on my vehicle rusted out, I called other places and got some ridiculous quotes. I was recommended to call Foline. I'm glad I did, Sam walked me through the fix, gave a great quote, and got me in fast. I will continue to use and recommend Foline!
Sam is the most honest and straightforward mechanic I've ever had. My husband and I have been bringing our vehicles to Sam since we moved to the area years ago and I won't go anywhere else. He always does his best to squeeze us in when needed, his prices are affordable, and he takes as much time as needed to explain repairs and maintenance in a way that is straightforward and easy to understand.
Foline auto is the best! Sam has the best knack for troubleshooting problems. He takes the time to think about the issues & work them through before you make the appointment so you usually know basically what you’re in for! The shop is almost an hour away from me one way but I always use them when it’s a tricky question for my shop, or a big repair. Sam can explain things thoroughly - what’s happening and why. He’s amazing! Very ethical shop they won’t over charge you for things, and they do a good job and care about their customers and their reputation. I wish they were closer to me! I really can’t say enough about this auto repair shop! Thanks guys!
I brought my 1997 Corvette to get the starter replaced. Sam did a great job and I was in and out of there in less than one day. Very reasonable priced and definitely would recommend.
I had a car issue near Belle Plaine and live out of town. Foline was booked out a week but took the time to fix my car and get it turned around in a day. They had fair pricing and good communication. I highly recommend them for any auto maintenance you may need.
Recently moved to town and was looking for somewhere local to get some exhaust work done. I called around and Foline was recommended by another shop. I worked with Sam, and have to say that this was by far my best experience for anything automotive-related! I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve been going for over a year for regular maintenance. Sam has been amazing to work with and all other team members have been excellent as well. They are reasonable with their scheduling and their pricing is incredibly fair. If I had to complain about something, I’d say their parking lot could use some repair.
We are new to town so this was our first time using Foline Auto. I had to wait 4 or 5 days to get my car in which is a good thing, a busy shop is a good shop. I thought our car had a coolant leak so we took it here because of their 5 star Google reviews. They didn't disappoint! They performed a pressure test on the cooling system and couldn't find any leaks! They proved to be honest and didn't do any unnecessary fixes, honest just like what is mentioned in some of the reviews. I decided to have them do a different repair that I was planning to get to on my own (some day lol). Our bill was perfectly fair and communication was EXCELLENT throughout the whole process. I was able to meet Sam when we picked the car up. He's a good dude. Friendly and professional. The lobby is clean and nice enough. My family will be coming back for all our auto repairs. Sam at Foline treats your right. Honest and cares. Being new in tow 5 years now, needed someone i could trust and not kill my pocket. All work I've had done he is up front with pricing and is always looking out for his customers best interest. Recently had my newer vehicle in and he made sure to give a thorough recommendation to get the warranty work done. Even though he couldn't do the work as it had to go to a dealer. He followed up to make sure I was treated right off his recommendation. Hats off you you Foline. I will be sending any business I can your direction.

My car broke down on highway 169 and we towed it here and had to leave it there over the weekend. Right away on Monday morning Sam called us and was able to fix it within the day! He went out of his way to make sure it was done as soon as possible. He even followed up with a curtsy call the next day to make sure everything was running smoothly. Outstanding customer service! I have had several cars worked on over the years at Foline Auto. From brakes to body work to engine work, they have worked on it all for me and have been wonderful to deal with. They were quick to get my car back to me (which is obviously an important factor) but also did not jeopardize quality to do it. If you want to deal with a local, honest auto mechanic that charges fair prices then go with Foline Auto!
I was referred to Foline Auto by two different professional mechanics who said Sam and his team are the only guys I ought to see for custom exhaust work -- and boy, were they right! They fixed the exhaust assembly on my classic Jaguar XJS in less than an hour for a fraction of what I expected and couldn't have been nicer. Absolute pros. I smiled all the way home and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone anywhere. Well worth the drive! Thank you, Sam.
We were just driving through when our check engine light started flashing. We stopped in at Foline’s and though they were booked solid but still managed to get us taken care of. After running a scan, Sam carefully explained our issue, was able to quickly determine what was causing the problem and got a part installed to get us back on the road in no time.
Initially I brought my flat tire to Tires Plus for a patch.. They claimed they patched it but I found myself with the same flat tire the next day. I brought the car back only for them to give me a bid on new tires. Feeling like something was up I decided to bring it to Sam at Foline for a second opinion. Not only did Foline fix it immediately, they also documented for me how Tires Plus never even attempted to work on my tire. I haven't had any issues with the tire since.
Bottom line is if you want an honest opinion feel comfortable bringing your car to Foline. Thank you very much!
Foline Auto has been nothing but great to both my wife and I whenever we've had issues with our car. Sam Theis has worked on both my older GMC Jimmy and my wife's brand new Honda and we've come away more than happy every single time. They have honest and fair pricing and tremendous mechanics, it's a fantastic place if you need car repairs or service. Five stars.
I took my car in for the A/C to be charged, the guy named Sam had to give me a ride back to my house. He took the curve around the corner of the street I live on fast, and than when he backs out he grinds my gears twice while trying to reverse. Than Sam calls me said that my car would need a new compressor and basically a whole new A/C system, which would be around $1300. I told him no can do, and than he said I would have to pay for a diagnostic of $94, in which he never asked me to run in the first place, or let me know he was going to run one, and that would be how much it cost. I would definitely not deal with Sam, if anyone deal with the owner.

These guys are the greatest! Always honest prices. We've gone to them for a couple years now with a few different vehicles and they never let us down. Sam and Skip are just so nice. They also let us know of things we should keep an eye on in the future, so the majority of the time we aren't hit with a big unexpected issue.
