Five stars for Williams Towing. My brakes failed near Hinckley, MN on the way back to the Twin Cities, and Jeff couldn’t have been more professional. He answered right away, explained the process and pricing clearly, gave a realistic ETA, and kept me updated. He arrived promptly, handled the vehicle with care, and made sure we were good to go before he took off. The rate was extremely fair with no surprise fees, and the whole experience was calm and straightforward during a stressful situation. I’d absolutely use Williams Towing again and recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable tow along I-35.
They do great work and even on vehicles they don't know anything about, they will actively search out the information needed to give you great service. They are affordable too and WILL work with you to fill extended warranty services.
The shop is not high dollar, flashy, and new. It's just an old fashioned country shop that harkens back memories of the days we spent with Dad and grandpa in the garage.
They are an incredible team of kind, humble, caring people who love what they do. They looked at my Cadillac SRX the same day I called and made sure it was safe to drive, all while we were having the worst rainstorm I had ever experienced in Mn. After going through it to make sure it was safe to drive. They had me come back at my convenience when the storm ended for a second check so they could hear the noise I was talking about. They gave me a reasonable honest quote with several options. I was happy to learn they have a Cadillac mechanic since they can be quiet technical. I highly recommend.

Jeff is absolutely amazing! I loved the service I got! They were super fast and very affordable and friendly I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone! Not To mention they put a tire on my car on Christmas eve so I could get to see my boys for Christmas. They are amazing.

Jeff from Williams Towing is the nicest person and saved my son and I when our Serpentine Belt broke on 35 outside of Hinckley. We had made it to a small gas station off the freeway and a gentleman there gave me Jeff's number. He came right away after contacting him. He got it on the truck and dropped my son and I off at Tobie's so we'd be at a better place to wait for my husband to get us. I live in a SW Minneapolis suburb, so it was going to be a few hours. The next day, Jeff kept us posted and my husband and I made our way back up North the next day. Their service and pricing was perfect! Also, my son had lost his new shinny agate in Jeff's truck when we got a ride. Jeff found it and mailed it to us along with the most adorable Hot Wheels car!!!!! My son was so excited! Now, that's what I call an A+ business! Thank you!!!
I called to schedule service for a coolant leak. Jeff was very helpful and was able to get me in the same day. There were comfortable chairs to sit in while I waited for my ride, and Jeff was very straightforward about the work needed and estimated price. They got the work done quickly and efficiently and my car is back in shape. The total cost was less than the estimate he gave me, and it was a very reasonable price! I will definitely be coming back for any other service needs, can't beat the service here!
Worked with Jeff & this location after my vehicle sent a warning signal to turn my car off immediately a little over a mile from home. My insurance company utilized this business for towing services and Jeff called right away to see if he wanted me to have him take a look and get back to me about repair options. This occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Monday I was told I would need a new engine which they were able to give me a very reasonably priced quote and was able to complete this job in one week. This business is very responsive and kind, and I would recommend this place to anyone needing vehicle repair/towing.
Williams is a lifesaver. We spun out on a snowy night, and ended up in a ditch off the freeway. He came out right away, and we were out less than an hour after the accident. His price was fair, $180. Thank you so much!
Amazing. These guys went WAY above and beyond for us.
So, my son needed to go to the hospital. My husband took him, and I was to be along shortly after them (after making arrangements for our dog and other son). The van broke down on 35W. Called AAA, and Williams was sent. The estimate was an hour. They called me to confirm the location (I'm the default number). I was a bit frantic, and it took me longer than it should have to confirm their location. I explained the situation. The gentleman said, "If we get to them first, we'll take em to the hospital and come back for the van." AND THEY DID!!!! Saw them pulling away with my son and hubby as I approached, leaving the van for later (which is a heck of a lot more miles than just taking the van back home alone). THEN, to top it off, they called a few hours later to check in and see how my son was doing (he's doing well now). I couldn't believe it! I can't say I've EVER had a company so helpful and caring.
I will be doing business with these guys, and referring them to others, for as long as they or I exist.

We (my husband and I and our 3 young boys) were heading north, hunting and we got a flat tire. We stopped in, unannounced, and they got us a replacement and back on the road in under an hour! We really appreciate their accommodation and fitting us in their schedule to get us back on the road quickly!
My morning went sideways today when my brakes locked on in the I35 fast lane. I called AAA, then used their app (they don't take calls anymore) and waited...waited...waited. Finally decided to look elsewhere. Jeff had me hooked up before anyone even got back to me from AAA, and then he and his crew went out and got the needed parts to get me rolling again, all at a surprisingly reasonable price.
Williams toeing came out to help us when our van popped a tire and towed it 30 miles to a shop at night. They were quick, professional, and courteous. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you!
I had a mixed but overall negative experience. Their towing service was great & reliable, but I cannot recommend using Williams for repair. My vehicle stalled out on the freeway, and I got a prompt response early in the morning of a holiday. We agreed to have the problem diagnosed and repaired at their shop & it was towed there. Over the course of the next 3-4 weeks, the shop appeared to do no work in diagnosing/repairing my problem. They never called me proactively to explain a timeline or plan of action, so I had to call every week to check in, and I always got a shifty "we'll look at it soon, got to go" kind of response. After 4 weeks of dodginess, I ended up paying an additional tow to have it taken to a shop that agreed to actually work on it. The tow to the next shop was prompt and well-communicated. It turns out I had an exhaust problem requiring extensive repairs. It may be the case that Williams doesn't do that kind of repair-- but it's just a terrible & expensive customer experience to hear nothing for 4 weeks while waiting to get your vehicle back, just to have it towed elsewhere.
Coming home from vacation and finding that my brand new vehicle was inoperable and parked 2 hours away from my home address, a bit of anger and confusion set in.
When I was put in contact with with Jeff, he first expressed his concern, provided me with options and was patient with me. I quickly called Jeff back and he had Marty dispatched out to me within 1 hour. I was shocked at how fast they were.
Next, was Marty's show. Marty went above and beyond in attempting to jump start my vehicle and impressively push my Dodge Ram by hand around another vehicle, sneaking past a ditch and into position to be towed. Lastly, when explaining where I was from and the dealership and situation to be in, Marty recommended another authorized dealership that was more convenient for me.
I couldn't have been more impressed and satisfied with the prompt and over-the-top service provided by Williams Towing and Repair LLC in what seemed like a helpless situation. Thanks
Jeff is a super nice guy. He loves towing, and doesn't mind getting called at all hours of the night. He ended up having to tow my car on his flatbed, from Hinckley down to the Cities. It was a reasonable price, given the distance. I hope I don't need their services again, but if I did, I'd have no hesitation to call on Williams Towing again.

We had a tire blowout a Jeff was onsite in 30 minutes! Then when the brake lines were broken, he tok drove us to their shop, expedited the required parts, and had our brakes fixed within an hour! Borrowed a camper to a buddy, it broke down on the road and they came to the rescue. They were able to really help out and really reasonably priced. I appreciate them and would definitely recommend them to anybody stranded on the side of the road with the seized tire ?
Fast towing, fast turnaround, fair prices. My truck broke down on Memorial Day of all days. Truck was back up and running Wednesday evening. With a lot of towing places, I expect significant markup. This place was fast and reasonably priced. I couldn't ask for more. Thanks guys.
This business restores my faith in humanity…seriously. My family and I stopped at Hinkley for lunch and came back to a truck that wouldn’t start. Roadside assistance dispatched Williams, on a Sunday, and they were there in 10 min. Truck wouldn’t take a jump so they loaded it up on their flatbed to take back to the shop. This was about 4pm on Sunday. I ended up staying at the casino that night to wait for the repair. The shop called me first thing in the morning that they were almost done with the repair as they had a part available. The driver came BACK to the casino to pick me up and delivered me to the shop to get my, now starting, truck. The speed and care they took knowing that we were still a couple hours from home was amazing. They are truly a diamond in the rough. We live south of Minneapolis but I would, without question, drive the 100 miles to have them work on any of our vehicles again.
My car broke down on a Saturday night on my way back up to Duluth from the Twin Cities. I called Williams at 4:15 and spoke to Jeff. After talking him, he came and towed me to his shop, reopened after he was closed, sourced the parts, and fixed my vehicle and had me on my way quickly. I sincerely appreciate Jeff and Marty going the extra mile to help me get back home with a vehicle that didn't need to be towed all the way to Duluth and then get hit with the repair cost too...top notch service!!
I recommend Williams Towing & Repair to everyone looking at this review. Jeff and his gang were very courteous and helpful. Broke down in North Branch on way home to Illinois. Got us back on the road very quickly and very reasonable price. Even his customer offered us a ride to a hotel. What a great place!
We went in yesterday and found out that we needed to get the power steering hose and the AC Belt replaced. Jeff ordered our parts quickly and we took it in today to get the work done. He found out that walmart did a bad job with our car when we had gone the few times to change oil there. He was able to get that resolved in a timely manner for us on top of the work that had to be done. He explained things to us, making sure we understood what was going on.
Jeff charged us reasonably and provided the best service in a quick, timely manner. Would i recommend him? Heck yeah i would.
