I don’t think there is a better place in central mn than here you got to understand to those who say owner is rude people are busy and his time is money and then you got people asking dumb questions me as a business owner I understand this just like if you work on fast food chains you learn to appreciate them when you work yourself on this type of businesses if you have transmission problems bring it here and be prepared and quality work costs money and respect goes both ways thanks for all the times you guys have help me
I have had my first transmission failure experience in my life… and it happened 3 times in a matter of 2-3 months. All 3 vehicles have over 200,000 miles and each time it was the torque converter going out, which is apparently common in 6L80 or 6L80E transmissions after a certain point.
Scott was amazing throughout the whole process, he can explain in detail what is going on, you can tell he’s passionate about this stuff just by talking with him. So, first was my truck… we went used version vs rebuild and got it from Pam’s Auto in where he’s got a connection with them. It was a little cheaper and my truck is older so I went that route.
2nd vehicle was same truck as mine, little older, but was my grandpas as I was borrowing it for that week. Horrible luck.
Then month or 2 later, our suburban tranny went out and we went the rebuild route with that one and got 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty! We use that vehicle a lot for family events and all over and plan to keep it awhile yet so that’s why we decided to go that route.
Scott has one worker, I can’t remember his name but has dark short hair and he was also very knowledgeable to talk to as well. These guys really know their transmission stuff and I actually learned a lot with the talks I’ve had with them!
I price checked all over central Minnesota, and there were a few that were comparable with them, few more expensive and few cheaper. But, after reading reviews in Facebook groups and talking to ppl around our area… many pointed to Scott Atkinson.
We have been more than satisfied with how they have handled our situation. Have been great to work with and reasonable.
Over the past half year now, I’ve gotten to know Scott a little bit and to me, we’ve had some good conversations… I have gained respect for the guy and his knowledge.
Last thing I’ll leave here for my review that stuck out to me and why I’m making this 5 star review, above everything else stated… he told me face to face “I don’t want to be known as cheap or the cheap guy, I don’t want ppl to bring their stuff to me cuz I’m cheap, I want to be known as quality and the reason ppl bring stuff to me is because it’s going to be done right and be quality, that’s what I want to be known for”. He also talked about his Dad and doing mechanic work and instilling that mindset into him, amongst other life things and experiences. Definitely has gained a lot of respect and admiration from me after all these frustrations of tranny failures. Hopefully this helps someone in deciding who to go to in the future, we appreciate the work they’ve done for us.
Amazing work and they kept me informed of what was going on. They put a warranty on my transmission & fixed another problem I had with the axle while fixing the transmission. They also are doing a follow up in a couple weeks. Definitely will be going back to these guys!!
Not very happy with this company at all,,,, very bad business man,,, I would not recommend him to anyone ,,,,,, the best shop in little falls is rammers repair ,,, at least they care about the customer,,,, just a horrible place,,, owner is very rude!!!!!!! An they don't stand behind there work!!!!!!
Great service. Great value. Great pricing. Would highly recommend, especially for anyone who owns a Honda. I will definitely be using them going forward.
They rebuilt my transmission for my 2012 Camaro SS. Kind of expensive as to be expected for a transmission. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and everything seems A-Okay. I am happy with the work they did.
This place is great! I had my vehicle parked in the lot there for a month before they did any work on it and I didn’t receive any phone calls or complaints at all about me having it parked there, that was such a plus to me and major relief all in itself. When I said go ahead and do the work, they had it ready to go in just a few days! They guaranteed the work for 2 years!! And my vehicle is back to the way it was when I first got it!! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! Very satisfied with their work!
I had them rebuild a trans on a 17 Silverado for a customer of mine. I'm so happy I went with them instead of putting a salvage yard unit in. They're wizards at their craft. I can't wait to do business again.
The owner is very rude! I've never been sworn at by a business owner. Although the work performed was good, with one exception, his rudeness is unbelievable. Glad I didn't have any children within hearing distance. Good work, but, horrible customer service!
Owner very rude not willing to work with you stated I was out to screw him over have msg to prove it definitely would take your business elsewhere very poor ownership
i own a used car lot and i often need transmission work and these people have never failed me yet ! they are often super busy but they take time to help me decide what course of action to take and meet my needs ! it is funny, but in the car world, cars don"t actually speak to you, so when doing repairs , mistakes do happen ! but i would swear transmissions speak to these guys ! a 100 percent batting average is unusual, so my hat goes off to them. sorry i never left a review earlier, they deserve a great review from me !
Had an issue with my truck, drove past their shop and they took time to quick diagnose my issue and got me set with what I needed. Just wanted to give a 5 star thank you for the wonderful service.
This is where we take all of our vehicles and they are great! If we ever have anything happen out of nowhere they always do what they can to get it fixed!
Dependable & trustworthy. I've been bringing my vehicles here for a few years now. Good job on estimates and mechanic work. The guys actually show you on your vehicle where the problem is, very nice. They saved me over $100 for my tire problem. And they came to pick me up when it was done, saving me taxi money. Awesome!
It costs money to bring your car/truck to any shop. With that said, these guys know thier stuff and are worth the money. They fix it, stand behind it, and no BS about it during my experience. Honest about problems and cost up front. They also go beyond by knowing the little things that should be done to prevent future problems. Not a sell up! Just straight forward good knowledge and experience at your service.
